Iran's newest fighter jet, the Qaher-313, was revealed in Tehran, Iran, on Saturday.

Israeli aeronautics expert says newly unveiled Qaher F-313 looks like a fiberglass model, not a real aircraft

“It’s not a plane, because that’s not how a real plane looks,” he said. “Iran doesn’t have the ability to build planes. Plain and simple. Israeli aeronautics expert Tal Inbar told Maariv.*

Tehran did not release takeoff and landing footage of its new aircraft.

Iran is a very stupid country.

What is the damn point in 'faking' a fighter?

Did they think they will scare away the US and IDF forces?

Your joking right? Even Helen Keller could have made a better bird.

What an absolute S* Box.

Even blind freddy himself could see this is the worst model on Gods own earth.

I have flown many a worrying prototype, but this is not even worthy of my action man!

I'm sure US military said the same thing about aircraft design before the wright brothers flew.
Perhaps World war 1 generals would say the same thing about the Lance Bomber.

Iranians are smart, their culture is long lived and they designed algebra, assuming they are unable to break design concepts with new and improved is flawed, it can happen!

Is the plane real? I don't know, information was only released yesterday!

Agreed, but this aircraft is sh*te.

It's a mock up, even the canopy is plastic. Note: it's not clear and glass etc.

Plus it's small, has no engines and the wings are something I have never seen before. Massive drag??

Strange they would showcase tis to the world.....do they presume we are all thick?

Dunno, but it's a bit stupid looking.

You can see dents in the front of the craft and edges aren't straight they are " squiggly" in some parts.

That is definitely not a real plane that could actually fly.

That said, I don't know about the one flying in the video? Looks similar, but the one on show is not the one in the air.

And to think I actually thought this craft looked sleek yesterday when I read the original article!

The one that was flying is a remote controlled model.
From the way it looks on the video, It’s probably two or three feet long or so.

we have a world war one air force museum here in little old Blenheim New Zealand. The replicas there make this thing look fake. Mind you the replicas are built by Peter Jacksons Weta studios. Maybe he could help the Iranians next time they want a fighter bomber.

It's called a "mock up" and it's used when the actual aircraft in question isn't available. It's been done by every country in the world, including the US.

Here's a beautiful shot of a Royal Norwegian Air Force F-35, even has a Santa hat on for Christmas. Guess what? The aircraft is a mock up. Does that make it a hoax?

Boeing has unveiled fighters and aircraft before when they weren't even close to being ready to fly (787 is the latest example), did that make them hoaxes? Of course not. So why is it that when the Iranians do the same thing, it's a hoax?

And don't get me started on the whole "It's crap" argument. Just because the US doesn't make it then it has to suck right?

hmmmm how would it compare with the so called top of the bill JSF super debacle.....

The picture released was of a smaller scale model of the final craft, not the finished product.

If the critics can't see that, they should take up a different career.

I agree with you Zaphod..

...These bozo's don't seem to know that ALL Aircraft development goes from Mock-up to Prototype to Production.

It is a scaled replica of some kind, a copy of what the real aircraft could look like once its finished

Iran is already building fighter planes, this one is just another step forward.

A lot of people have bought in to the Isreali and US propaganda and need Iran to hold them up, because without Iran they wouldnt exist, as Iran holds their fears up.

Anything they dont understand or anything they dont want to believe they will dismiss.

Its not the first time this happened in history, but if we were to go by sun tzu's Art of War then Iran is winning, as they just keep you guessing.

Lol...you've flown many a prototype...lmfao

Yet for some reason you seem to think a mock-up has to have real glass etc etc

And you've never seen canted wings before..

Maybe you should get a job with these critics who think a Mock-up is a hoax..

The truth is ...Iran has an Aircraft Industry ....while Israel has to beg the US because no-one else will sell them Jack S...

It's a propaganda victory for Iran.

And here's a fine example of American engineering:

Well done to Iran, they keep showing us how resilient they are.

Reminds me of all the yappers when Iran got the Drone, out the sky, intact. That's why USA sent all the drones to Africa, useless over Iran now.

The fact is, Iran beat the US at the game the US claimed to be best at. The US has gotten fat, lazy, and stupid. How many good old US boys will die because of such empty rhetoric and lies??

What the hell? If that actually flew at high speeds, the wings would rip off ....... I don't see how it would even get off the ground.

And that has what to do with the Iranian prototype? Or is it just another excuse to slam the US for something?

reply to post by milkyway12

It's not designed for high speed. It's a tactical bomber, most likely designed for low level attack, based on the downward wingtips.
