Matthew 5
39 But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Matthew 16
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Look Paul was feared by the Christians . If you had actually read the bible you would know that he was a direct enemy of the Christians . He meant death to the followers of Christ . His life was on the line . He was hated of Jews but he also had a Roman citizenship so they had to be careful about killing him . And they did have him killed for turning to Christianity and spreading the Gospel by beheading in Rome . Boy , I can not believe the absolutely stupidity coming from some posters .

Jesus taught the opposite of vengeance, so why does his message change so drastically when Paul comes into the picture? Hmmmm... makes you wonder doesn't it? Well, it does if you're not a Christian at least.

What He said was that if his kingdom were of this world his followers would fight. And they will someday.
By the way do you think the picture John painted of Jesus return looks like your story book hippy Jesus? Rules with a rod of IRON. Thats not very nice. Will destroy his foes with a sword out of his mouth. Oh thats very diffrent from the lame limp wristed guy you talk about. In fact he sounds more and more like Yahweh in the end.
Well you still havent found the area where Jesus talks about praying for vengeance. Its in there. ( schools in sucker)

Wasnt John tripping balls on toxic volcanic gases at the time he wrote all that? I think I saw that on the history channel when they were still about history. It would make sense, seeing the product that was produced....
Hydrogen sulfide gas is definitely to be avoided at all times.edit on 2/4/2013 by CaticusMaximus because: (no reason given)

You're talking about Revelation right? Have you ever read the book? Because it references Rome's takeover of Christianity and how they turned Jesus into the beast. I could explain but I'm sure you wouldn't understand, your thinking is backwards and against progress because you believe you've already reached the top. You're wrong.edit on 4-2-2013 by 3NL1GHT3N3D1 because: (no reason given)edit on 4-2-2013 by 3NL1GHT3N3D1 because: (no reason given)
