I got punched in the face for asking for my receipt; literally.

- Don't talk about me not taking action.

I'm requesting all of the non-profits financial statements via my MP right now
and all of our "National Instruments" which are embedded in our charter
to manipulate and effectively destroy our social-corporate sector.

go to

www.sedar.com

and tell me where your non-profit is.

I find it funny too, that your user name is 'streetfightingman' but you're outraged at the thought of someone fighting you. Maybe that's just me though. Unfortunately ATS isn't big on the sympathy though, maybe try Facebook..

Sympathy for the devil maybe?
sorry, i couldn't resist.

I have been a store clerk before, and I can't handle customer interaction. Except
that I do argue with customers, and try to rationalize with them before
I resort to beating the crap out of them

Ok this needs to stop. He's either trolling, or not all there, or both. But his posts are getting more revealing about a true psychosis here. Instead of being on ats, this person needs some help.

How can you say that when I would in fact, and do, have parties that agree with my side of the story?

-aside, I would never beat somebody up. That was sarcasm.

Frankly, I don't care. Everything you have said is immature at best. And i feel sorry for you

And that means everyone else has to agree with their opinion of your story? Some people may think you're right for starting trivial arguments (from the sounds of it more than one instance) then refusing to leave after having been asked and then when denying to leave and they decide to remove you themselves (grabbing on to anything you could get your hands on to hold on to) and then deciding punching them (you admitted you threw the beginning punch) was a good resort to ending the conflict.

So the next time that Target or Wal-Mart or
any private business refuses to give me a receipt,
and begins swearing at me, I should just leave?

Well; I didn't. And I tried to rationalize with someone. Sometimes
I just expect people to be intelligent, and I guess that's a major flaw.

That's when he shoved me from behind the counter after telling
me to get out because I wanted a receipt.

I just don't get it. I never ask for it, but this time I did and it
turned into a problem. I ask for it at Tim Hortons, and they
never give it to me either, but when I do; I always say "Can I have
my receipt?" And this time I did too, except that
I made a statement instead of a request, but it was paired with the statement
unanimously.

The only statement you made was to the police.

I wish I knew how truly "sick" and "mentally ill" I really am.

I'm certainly no martyr. I don't even desire to be in politics. I wouldn't mind, but only
to make sure justice is being kept in order.

I just wanted a receipt, and I wanted someone to stop swearing at me
and to either give me my receipt or to tell me "ok, the next time you come in
I can give it to you."

It didn't occur to me to leave. It didn't, so instead
I rationalized with someone instead of escaping the situation.
Because I also wanted to buy something, and he was witholding
that from me because I had asked for my receipt and
refused to leave the store.

No, what required police attention was your punching him and not leaving private property.

What would you do if somebody told you
to leave their store because you wanted a receipt
and or had a problem communicating effectively in a
welcoming or pleasant tone that you wanted
a receipt now or in the future?

Good.

Suggestion?

Its better to walk away from potential harm, then to ask for it.

Peace.

You're original story fell apart by your own admissions. You implied this isn't the first encounter you have had at this store, its not the first time you have been rude to someone and you never learned from any of your previous problems in retaining a receipt (and I date someone who gets a receipt for everything and he's never had anyone get violent for asking politely for a receipt).

You even admitted to punching him before he threw his punch. The guy clearly had enough of your lectures (im going to assume there was many more than just the one lecture you gave him) and asked you to leave, you became belligerent and he had to physically throw you out and then you punched him and in return he punched you back. This isn't just about a trivial receipt, this is about you pushing peoples buttons because you think you are always right and deserve to be recognized because you think so. And then someone says "I've had enough" and you cry victim.
