That will make a nice target for one of their own when someone flips garbs the 2nd amendment arsenal they have built up over the yaears and decides to shot up his freaky neighbours who pay no attention to each other.

LOL - That will never work.

3500 families on 3000 acres ??
Not enough land.

All the govt has to do is cut the compound off from the outside and starve everybody out.

Think 60,000 drones patrolling the skies.

There is no escape of the upcoming draconian UN BS unless you go underwater, underground or off planet.

after thinking about this whole thing for a few days, my thoughts are generally that while demanding liberty may be an acutely American act, it is decidedly morose to do so in a way that does nothing more than bring attention to yourself from the overwhelming power of the authority.

Ruby Ridge. Waco. Its all you need to know. Anything that smells of "separate" will be crushed. Even if it means killing unarmed women, or burning buildings full of women and children.

yeah..it's called a cult compound.....not a new idea.

It's a sad commentary on society and on you when wanting to live according to the Constitution that our Founding Fathers fought so hard to give us, is considered a cult.
I guess if there are enough people like you in this country, it explains why we have the problems we have.

Additionally one bomb and you've wiped out an entire nest of problematic citizens.
reply to post by torqpoc

Believe me, I understand your concern. However,if our current government would bomb such a development to rid the US of it, doesn't that say a great deal about our current government, and why people want to get away from its grip?

I think that this is a great idea. Just so long as they stay where they decide to move themselves and their families. If they start thinking about annexing territory, then we might have a problem, but if they want to isolate and keep to themselves, then God bless 'em.
reply to post by NorEaster

I think given the nature of their concerns, the last thing that they would want to do, is annex anyone else. I believe their entire attitude is live and let live, thus annexing someone that does not share their views would be anathema to them. Just my opinion, of course.

Anyway, nice way to draw all the suckers out

So people that wish to live according to the norms of the Constitution and the Founding Fathers are suckers?
I rest my case.

Please explain to me how such a horrible event would be different from the horrid mass killings that have been in the news recently? Nobody is claiming that there won't be idiots there. On the other hand, looking at the requirements of the community, since everyone would be armed, and know how to handle a weapon, I doubt that such a nutcase would get very far. He/she might kill one, but he won't be able to spend twenty minutes shooting innocent victims. Your point actually strengthens their requirements.

The Constitution still had the Government running the country. Living in a seperate compound away from Government oversight is definitely not what the founding fathers had in mind.

Again, I ask, so should we just give up, raise our hands, surrender, and march off to wherever they decide to put people that don't like what is going on?

I think I've addressed that about 20 times in this thread. Do you have something original to say, to contribute to the further discussion of this issue?

you lost me as soon as I saw your implications with the word socialism smh! this term has been used ad nauseum without it being used properly. Its so funny that the majority of the problems in this nation have been caused by the bigotry, hatred, and greed from the right side of the aisle. Now that the majority of Americans have repudiated basically everything that your party stands for you act like the spoiled child on the playground and wanna take your ball and go home just because no one wants to play for your team or pick you for theirs lol. As a nation we sat idly by and watched Bush destroy this country and if anybody dared to say anything they were labelled as a traitor. Now when its time for you to support our current POTUS you want to secede from the US or set up seperate communities where you mind your own business and live and let live. What a crock of horse # that is. The only thing this community will do is be a haven for groups like the Aryan Nation, KKK, Hitler youths, and such. I say go ahead and set up your community and make it real easy for law enforcement to eradicate alot of individuals that need it anyway!!

Well, Professor....that is one direction you could take things. Another would be to simply live your life how you see fit. When you have had enough, do something affirmative. None of this passive-aggressive showmanship BS like what the OP discusses.

If you want to assert your rights, then do so. But don't go making a big fuss about it.

reply to post by SkinsFan913

When you make assumptions like you did, you make an A$$ of yourself, and not me. I don't know what party you think I belong to, but you're dead wrong, since I don't belong to ANY party. Furthermore, the fact the the current administration received a couple percentage points more than the opposition, says nothing about what people really feel, since the choice was between two evils. Look at the polls that show 68% of Americans feel the country is going in the wrong direction. Try to get a viable third party on every state's ballot, and you''ll instantly see how impossible it is today, to get anything but a choice of Republicrats, cut from the same crooked cloth.
I rest my case.

The fortress is useless against the World's army's resources. The Elite can always drop an A bomb on it and poof, no more fortress.
