The casino is too damn similar to rule it out yet though.

There are inconsistencies with the story:

* Plane not at 30.000ft as stated, flaps are out according to experienced pilots!
-> Means the plane is actually landing and way, way lower than claimed.

* Spirit airlines, according to some, doesn't even have a flight to PA!

* The length of the footage

* Overly hyped wording in the YT uploaders description

So I agree with the revel casino and the uploader possibly already knew what it was when he uploaded it. Then, on the other hand, the uploader said "sate-light" so I am not really sure about the uploaders education either, maybe he really thought its an UFO at first

Doesn't it look like a wing of a plane or military aircraft based on its black coating to avoid radar?

I can't believe this is still being debated but more-so, that this hasn't made its pilgrimage to the naughty bin yet.

Members, please just look at this subscriber (who goes by the name riadbsc2004) comments.

He's taken off every single comment that suggests this is a Casino in Atlantic City. Who does that if they are indeed interested in what people think?????

Filming stops when it gets interesting. Some bloke probably poked his head over and said "that's the casino in Atlantic city", edit video cut it short, fire it on youtube and watch 20 pages of discussion on here. Or its a space ship

Cant get this picture to post for some reason but the Blue mountain peak in Jamaica is 7402 feet. The one pic looks very similar.

Definitely, but as I am sure you know, cumulus clouds have a minimum base of around a 1000ft and they seem to engulf this object. It could simply be an illusion of perspective I suppose.

Maybe it's been said already but they are definitely not at 30,000 feet. At the start you can see that the landing flaps are partially lowered to around 15-20 degrees which means it's probably only around 3000 feet high and landing.

No I'm not a pilot, but aviation is my profession and I can say with 100% certainty that this is the case, it was landing and that is a light breaking through low level cumulous clouds.

Just ask yourself one question, why isn't this headline news considering the amount of witnesses there ought to be.

Then ask yourself why this video isn't sold to some news station, instead of being posted on youtube.

Move along.

Because an ATS member suggested it was probably right then and there the pilot got on the PA system to point out this profound sighting to the passengers as they were making their descent.
You know:
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is pilot Jim Johnson. If you look to the left aft you'll notice the recently erected casino Revel Hotel. Doesn't that baby look stupendous with this storm clouds approaching? We hope you enjoyed your flight and we look forward serving your traveling needs again. They were NOT at 30,000 ft asl. More like 1000 ft.
When I asked this YT nitwit their real altitude, he blocked me and I....well, I was being adorable!

For what it's worth, it looks like the view from the plane is the opposite from the view in the embedded PR picture and you can see the red light in both.



I can't find any good shots of the resort from the same angle as the video, because the ball is obstructed from that angle.

This film looks like it was shot while the plane was about to land in Atlantic City, which is perfectly plausible considering where it appears the youtube channel is based - the Cinderella concert happened in Atlantic City. So his brother was returning from Florida, perhaps, and he was over the ocean, perhaps (the Revel is right next to the beach), but he wasn't 30,000 feet up in the air. The building was cloaked in clouds.

The videographer must've been beside himself with this great, "natural" UFO! Not only is he getting a this all on video, but he's also got the perfect soundtrack. The kid didn't even have to be coached. And someone else apparently had caught sight of some other landmark in Atlantic City above the clouds What an opportunity! If he hadn't been aware of the Revel, I think he could have honestly mistaken the building for a UFO. At least the video of it could lead one that direction.

On the chance that someone hasn't already pointed this out, if further evidence is needed to put this to rest, check flight times and compare them to the time the video was taken. Based on the presumed flight path past what appears to be the Revel, whether it's morning or evening can be determined by the angle of the light hitting the building and the clouds.

Now what's really interesting is all the ideas that sprang up while trying to figure out this video!
