A hundred and a few quakes in the last couple of hours following the 4.7

And another hundred and a few prior to the 4.7!

www.data.scec.org...

I wish I would of posted the map as well.....But in the last 45 min, the red in the last hour boxes littered southern Cali like a fire storm; and then BOOM, it turned off like a light switch....Weird.

Anza, California, interactive map foreshocks (61 to 148:32:35hrs prior) and aftershocks ( 250 at the 10 hour mark)
data is from California Integrated Seismic Network (CISN)
CISN is a region of the Advanced National Seismic System.(ANSS)

click each file on or off to see each file of the locations seperately.

Was there any warning of this???? absolutely!
Lucky it wasn't a Mag 6 instead of a Mag 4.7!

USGS are definitely lacking with data information on United States quakes (magnitude type, phase data etc)
I wonder why that is? have noticed it before.

What were the warning signs and do you think it could still produce a Mag 6?

Hi, not HT in fact fairly normal for the area. There is a little bit of activity earlier in the day but nothing massive. There seems to be quite a storm at sea at that time as I am seeing lots of microseisms on the recorders.

You can access the seismograms here and on this page you can access the seismograms for today and a few notes about the 'cultural noise' and how to recognise it.

I believe they are building a levée around the sink-hole so currently much of the daytime noise (11:00 UTC to midnight. If you look at any of the sets of thumbnails they all display classic signs of cultural noise.

Last time this happened in August 2012 it was a 5.3 and a 5.5 that triggered the pattern.

This also set off a 7.4 in El Salvador and a 6.6 in the Molucca Sea

Looks like a new ets swarm is beginning on the west coast, a substantial departure from the 14 month cycle. I am very concerned.

This latest aftershock is getting closer to subduction area in both distance and depth.

earthquake.usgs.gov...

I posted somewhere, that I thought the area between Papua and Banda Aceh would be vulnerable after the series of quakes in Santa Cruz.

The central Oregon batch bares watching. This is the part of Cascadia for which full ETS episodes are fairly rare (from 18 to 23 months between them compared to 12 to 15 months for northern Washington ones and 9 to 12 months for northern Californa ones). If the current central Oregon activity is the beginning of a full ETS then it should last for another few weeks and extend south to the Roseburg area. The last major ETS in this region was in June, 2011, so one is about due.

Tremor over Cascadia

Emphasis by me.

Sounds like it is not something to worry about, yet...................................

Emphasis on "YET." An ets is not due now btw, there was one in 2012 not mentioned above, the next is not due until much later in the year.

Unprintable?

Even the USGS was constrained to debunk that site. Although he has a red WOT rating the site is not a scam or unsafe, but BS and useless and we have mentioned time and time again.

Tell me, do you actually understand that site? Perhaps you can explain it to me because I don't understand it at all. It is just a load of noise that tells me nothing other than where there is activity now I am assuming but I am not even sure about that.
