Very cool. There are a million options that can be used, and the combinations of how they are used creates different results. "learning how to do it" may never happen for me, so it is typically, "Lets tinker and see what we can make happen".

Honestly. I love the Avatar Creations threads. You guys got me so into these contests, that I don't even care if I win or lose, as long as I can participate.

I just finished my first 3 entries for Valentine's Day and it's not even January!

Please if anyone would like me to make them an avatar please let me know.

I'm getting withdrawal syndromes already.

I'd hate for you to suffer avatar withdrawal

I've been saving this for the right moment.....I snagged this image from my wallpaper from the old ATS version. I really like it and hoped one day it could be made into an avatar....I think my backgrounds are usually 200px × 500px.
Can you please make something from this for me? Not sure how in the world you can make it longer.....so if it cannot be done, I'll just keep it to use elsewhere

I used to do that, back in the very first avatar creation thread that purple chiten made... help find source pictures...

my suggestions:

- get over and do more banners for the banner contest
- make what you like. I made a few hundred in this and a prior thread that were never used. I do this more as my own outlet, so that is fine. But just....create.

I changed the format to 200x500. The picture is beautiful as it is. I just played around with the light a little. Hope this is better. I can add more things if you like, just let me know what. And thank you.

i like the middle one the most. it has its bright spots, but on the edges is more muted. Like its ready to explode (and match the other two) at any moment. I like that a lot.

Wow, more cool that I had hoped for.....I like the top one and middle one the best, for different reasons.
The top one has the blossoms on the tree, the middle one for the color vibrancy....thanks so much

I'm still narrowing down my avatar for spring. I'm working on 3 at the moment. But that won't be til March. My current one is my winter avatar.

I'm such a rooky myself. You are way ahead of me. I don't have photoshop but I found this website that is free and let's me do a lot of things photoshop does.

And this free website that let's me create letters/fonts with transparent backgrounds, so it's easy to overlay on a picture.

hit up youtube. there are tons and tons of tutorials. one called something like "yousuckatphotoshop" is funny and informative.

Guys I would consider it a gift from the gods themselves if somebody were to create me an avatar to replace the uk button i slapped on there with the background. Something to do with my name infact maybe the spartan symbol or an image of a spartan warrior with a scenic background perhaps? I have no clue

I trust in your artistic skills!

probably easier to just doctor one up from the internet.
