There is no such thing as coincidence in world politics.
I have no idea what is unfolding or where it stops.
But we best be paying attention . I do know that .

I'm searching, and I can't find an actual confirmation about the U.S. sending troops to Sinai. Every source I find is using Debka, and there is nothing on any U.S. news about this. I do agree we had better be paying attention.

Indeed, and Debka has been wrong more times that it's been right.

Regardless of your feelings about the border fence, going into the restricted buffer zone in a mob and approaching the fence after repeated warning shots is just asking for trouble. If this is footage from the incident today, I'm glad there was only one casualty.

The only thing that would make sense might be small units to check for contraband at the border-crossings if Israel doesn't trust Egypt to do it effectively. Might be acceptable to all sides. Have a hard time believing any large scale presence is planned for.

Well Russia has announced they are sending ships to the area.

I can't find any updates since November 21 regarding the US ships, though I have not looked under rocks yet.

Somewhere, I heard (RT?) that one of the preconditions was to allow farmers back into the "no mans land" inside Gaza's border with Israel so they could return to their farmlands. So some workers "tested" that.

Another breach by Israel.
