Oh this is funny. Women's nether regions bring the "brightest", most powerful men down.

Add in a paternity suit and we've got daytime TV here.

Have you seen the story about a Denver station's funny little mistake? (censoring for ATS)

Last night, when Denver’s ABC affiliate ran a piece on the tragi-comic Gen. David Petraeus sex scandal, the station fell for those pesky Internet photoshops.

While discussing mistress Paula Broadwell‘s Petraeus biography — which is, in reality, titled All In — the reporter ran a photoshopped image of her book with the title All Up In My Sn*tch.

Honestly, I'm reeling at the fact that this is even getting so much attention. It's being plastered across every large news network, constantly posted with regard on ATS; for Christ sake, the PENTAGON is investigating him??

I love how the Pentagon & mainstream media care so greatly about the consensual sexual practices of a grown man. Yet they don't give any attention to the criminals who are pillaging freedom, the economy, basking in corruption & dirty money. If you embrace the system & obey like a good dog, they'll let you off the hook with literally anything.

What part of "classified information found on her computer," seems trivial to you?..
If it were merely a sex scandal.. But we are talking about compromised national security involving some of the most powerful men who run the defense of the country.

Just an aside, sexual blackmail is one of the most common techniques used to turn a source in the espionage game..

Just smokescreens to keep attention off of Obama. Left wing media protecting him from the real issue. Theres nothing better than sex to do that.

I just hope these "leaders" don't make (or didn't make) the troops that are (and have) served any worst than it has been. Its crazy.

Here is a new WOW video on this mess only about a few seconds (warning one foul word) www.schnittshow.com...

Is that the case? I'll admit I haven't payed enough attention to the scandal to know about the classified information being compromised. I'll have to do a quick overview I guess.

Because of the invention of reality tv, this is the news that sells. Scandal, sex, power. But if the past 20 or so years are an indication, anytime the media focuses on one issue like this, there is something they are deliberately not covering. Or trying to distract from. Take your pick this time, the economy, fiscal cliff, election results, israel, syria, benghazi, the list goes on.

The whole thing is about cleaning up the brass, and getting the hell out of military expansion. Who'll be left, will bow deep, keep lips tight, and let the boss speak. Following this, the military complex, will be slimmed down. Killed by zero spending. Four years chewing this, what'll be left of might and awe, is just mountains of jacks and boots on yard sales.

Well the name of his biography is "All In" ...

And one of the chapters is titled, "Anaconda" ...

The guy is in charge of the freaking CIA and can't use a free service like Hushmail or Lockmail?

Did he even have a second SIM card for his phone? Or maybe a 2nd hidden cell phone? Even Walter White knew to do that...

ETA:
I'm not sure what I'm more upset about. The fact that he cheated, or that our SpymasterGeneral is worse than the average citizen at protecting his own privacy.

So we put a guy in charge of the CIA that can't even figure out how to use encrypted email or OTR chat. Great.

I think he should be fired simply because he couldn't figure out how to act like he works at the CIA.

Did anyone lose there lives on account of the affair, and emails?

Just asking.

Glad your other avatar's back Sondalf... always liked that one.
But that's not the reason for the bump. I'd like to expand "the affair"
as a subset of the honey pot definition "The Affair".
Not sure about emails-- but when clandestine human relationships
are used as a diversion of attention from the real story, you don't
have to go back too far to see how effectively loose ends can get
policed up after the blackmail has done it's job. Unfortunately for
Deborah Jean Palfrey there were too many hooks lines and sinkers
tied to one twitching pole. We know what happened when a flag
with real info on it started to pay out on the same line, don't we?
And back to your original post top liner; we may never be done with
the original, core and important, policy issues until we get our eye
off the knuckleballs. It would be like getting a real mandate for UN
reform going from out of the National Enquirer. yawn how big was it?
ps there's been jaw flap left and right around here about Monica
getting a paycheck from the M-word too: I'm not buying it.

It is illegal to remove a child from access from the other parent sans true abuse allegations. In California if you allege sexual abuse and it turns out that you were lying; the parent that lied loses custody, period. It is a good law. It prevents people in bitter custody disputes using false allegations to deprive a parent of contact with their child or children.

This woman took off half way across the country to deprive the other parent of contact. A parent like that will lose custody because of their refusal to share contact. They are good laws intended to protect innocent parents and children from deprivation by an angry spouse.

Pray tell, what is the real issue?? You are so blinded by disinformation and partisanship you can't see beyond your nose. You are unable to be objective and look at "real facts", which few have been released. All you have is bull$%^& made up by Fox news, partisan party operatives, and right wing blog posts. Hardly meat on the bones.

Seriously, where were you during the eight years Bush Co reigned supreme...??? Did you miss that whole era?

According to you and your sycophants Obama is in charge of every single move this military makes irrespective of the fact that there are so many hold-overs and neo-cons in the top military brass that should have been removed years ago, had we had some real "change".

Now why do you think that is?? It is because the POTUS does NOT control foreign policy. Those actors are deeply embedded and are never removed. That is why all the policies and directives that were initiated under Bush Co have not been altered or changed. Just the rhetoric toned down a bit. Wake up sleepy person.

This woman either is a complete stunner or she is a spy imo. Bit weird how a top general is now being linked with her:

Not only is it weird, it's up to 30,000 pages worth.

A senior Pentagon official said up to 30,000 pages of emails and other documents from Gen Allen's communications with Mrs Kelley between 2010 and 2012 were under review by the Pentagon.

That is only in a 2 year period. Wow!

When the hell did this guy ever have any time to eat, sleep, or get any work done?

This is outrageous!
