In "Stalking the Herd: Unraveling the Cattle Mutilation Mystery"

there are a number of reports of light beams striking herds
of cattle and affecting them.

There's even a report of a cow being 'tractor beamed away'
from the ground to out of sight with multiple down-to-earth
rancher witnesses watching.

Of course the "BTUFO" I encountered had a "light beam" and
it looked like it was searching for something.. but the light
never came near me.. which I don't mind at all.. I rather
like my anus right where it is.

Ha I like mine where it is too mate and thanks for sharing those accounts - will certainly be checking out 'Stalking the Herd" when time allows.

Recently listened to this Ted Phillips interview about Marley Woods and whilst it's not really light beam related I did find it very interesting that he mentions circular scorch marks on the ground near the mutilated cattle.

Very similar to this case from Cannon AFB in 1976 only then the cattle were discovered in the centre - really does make you wonder WTF is going on.

Cheers.

There seems to be this 'universal field' that the things can generate,
which are crazy multi-purpose.

Here's just a few of the things that "light" can do:

1) Core out anuses
2) Do anything to a physical body it touches.
3) Paralyze
4) Irradiate
5) "tractor beam".
6) Look through walls
7) Go through walls

From what I know, it's all due to that one flailing
'field'/appendage.

What was especially interesting when i encountered the
BTUFO, was that the "light" though ultra intense, never
illuminated the ground.. but stopped about halfway to
the ground.

it's not actually light..

It's a shaped field used for universal manipulation...
a swiss army knife of interaction.

But don't believe me.. i'm just a nutcase.

Ha your input is most appreciated mate and if you´re a nutcase then I guess we all are - haven´t had much time recently (so apologies for the delay in response) but did see the ´light never illuminating but stopping halfway to the ground´ asopect very intriguing and it´s definitely not the first time that´s been reported.

I (along with a group of friends) witnessed a series of translucent beams while on vacation a few years ago. We were on a very remote island in the British West Indies. There were no major cities anywhere on this island as it was sparsely populated. We (my girl friend and our friends) all witnessed this phenomena for approximately 30 minutes uninterrupted.

It was a moonless night and the beams shone from out at sea parallel to the horizon. They had a flickering effect too. Their brightness was about 10% of that of a search light. The type you see at grand openings from miles away. These beams had a semi light blue tint to them. The directions of these beams were from both the east and the west and as I said they originated OFF of the island. Not from the sea but up in the air. Most bizarre thing I've ever witnessed with a group of people.

After 30 minutes they stopped. Everyone retired inside but I felt compelled to remain outside.

For some unexplainable reason I was drawn to a dark spot in the starry sky straight ahead of me when suddenly a faintly glowing sphere appeared in the exact spot in the sky I was focused on. It grew to the size of a pea held out at arms length. The illumination was that of a setting sun. It disappeared for a couple of seconds...then reappeared once more then completely vanished. Absolutely amazing.

I can't even begin to tell you how much the hairs were standing on my neck and it was 95 degrees that night.

It was a great experience. Why did I feel compelled to stare into a specific dark spot in the vast sky that night? Only to see a faintly glowing sphere appear literally in the middle of nowhere. The beams were an amazing sight but that final experience has baffled me the most. I won't go so far as to say I felt "they" were beckoning me or even knew I was there but perhaps I was connected at a deeper level at that moment and just "felt" something was where I was looking.

Who knows...amazing still to this day.

Love the enthusiasm
and still amazing to this day. At the time of the sighting and I know this is a long memory thing, but can you remember your mood just before the light beams appeared. Like were you feeling very positive and sort of at one with planet Earth?

I was on a nearly deserted tropical island in the middle of nowhere so peace and tranquility are pretty much an every minute thing there. So to answer your question I was definitely in a very peaceful state of mind and feeling harmony with not just the Earth but the Universe as a whole. You can't help but be very relaxed and in a chill state of mind in that setting.

I was the only one standing on the balcony of our house before the light beams appeared. Once the "show" began I went back inside and collected my friends to witness it with me. I was probably only outside for 5-10 minutes (solo) before the light beams first appeared. It's interesting you asked this question because it triggered a memory I had forgotten.

Thinking back on it now it's interesting to think the light beams appeared while I was the only one outside (first) then once they stopped and everyone went inside that I was drawn to a spot in the starry sky and witnessed the faintly glowing sphere appear.

If I had to interpret the meaning (if there is one) I would say I had a feeling of something telling (showing) me that "we are here". If that makes sense?

Ditto and many thanks for sharing your account.

This Buff Ledge case is a very strange (and disturbing) one but did find it interesting that it mentions the light beam from the object made the witness's hand transparent just like an x-ray.. Bill Chalker also describes an extremely similar account from Australia in this presentation around 124:19.

Sounds like a great place you were at and may help explain how you got close to them. For whatever reason they do seem to like living in the quiet zones with little civilisation around. So amazing how you first experienced the beams of light and then a sphere after. Very similar experience in 2006 beams first then spheres. My beams were red and we called it the lighthouse, even though it was coming from just above a field. Like you recounted from both directions, so strange but amazing, later on we actually found out where those beams were coming from, red spheres. Maybe that sphere you experienced was actually the source of your beams. It's all totally awesome

Hola mate, despite Walter Webb's investigation into that case I recently came across this article suggesting the incident may have been a hoax.

Also saw that some of Bob Pratt's Brazilian UFO research from his book 'UFO Danger Zone' has been compiled on vid and there's some very strange light beam cases being reported.

Cheers.

Strange report from Querétaro, June, 1975:

A vast object, giving off multicolored lights, flew slowly over the town hall, barely skirting over a radio tower. There were multiple witnesses to the event, and the object also had the unusual feature (perhaps never reported before in ufological chronicles) of having beams of light above it that indeed made it look like one of weighing platforms of a set of scales, suspended by chains.

SOME accounts of this type are sparked by missile tests, often from submerged submarines off the Florida coast. The 'beam of light' description is VERY common in those cases, especially a beam coming DOWN from the sky. If you have any diaries or receipts [or passport stamps] that would give a narrower range of dates, plus your estimate of when at night [how long after sunset] it happened, records are now available to check.

Pp. 51 ff of the first report discusses other missile test observations in Pacific and Atlantic:

Since that is precisely how missile launch plumes look, all I can suggest is paying special attention to eliminating that possibility so 'false positives' can be weeded out of the data base. Even Jimmy Carter's famous sighting in January 1969 turned out to be a NASA rocket launch from Eglin, and there were other witnesses all over the area, as reported in local newspapers the next day, and later on UFO registry data bases [but not a single UFO 'researcher' ever noticed this].
