It's not up to God, it's up the the voters. Voters are fickle. Get over it. In four years time a new player will appear and win anyway.

NewAgeMan, You seem to be one of those people who believes in Christian socialism, and you may justify using socialist means by thinking that Jesus would have advocated it, or even maybe think Jesus was a socialist. Nothing could be further from the truth. Generosity and charity are not equal to socialism. Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes, not divided or redistributed them from one person to another. There is a difference. His multiplication of the loaves and fishes was based on a metaphysical principle and it involves direct precipitation from the God Source. You see, Jesus was a leader, an avatar in Atlantis, and in those days, direct precipitation was known.
While God does not want His children to suffer and go hungry, He knows that His children still have to learn many lessons of life.
Jesus commanded Lazarus to come forth from his tomb and his body resurrected. This shows his absolute mastery over physical atoms, cells, and molecules. Also so did his walking on water. These things were not merely magical, but understanding of cosmic principles.
If we manifested directly everything we wanted, think how much mayhem might be upon this earth? With what evil people already manifest indirectly, think how much more it would be if they knew their power? The more knowledge we have, the more responsibility we have to not abuse it. It is said that Atlanteans also knew how to communicate through telepathic means. But if we all could communicate in this manner, we would have to have more control of our thoughts. This is the main reason we cannot any longer do these things, because the consequences can be dire without mastery.
So back to socialism. It is not Christlike and is not the solution. Paul said in his Letters that every man shall bear his own burden. You can try to justify it as some have, by attaching a different meaning, but I believe that Paul understood that while Charity is important and necessary, it is still necessary for every person to take personal responsibility. How can we take personal responsibility if we have a Nanny State to do that for us?
Socialism is the death of the soul.

I agree with you OP 100%, I think the only people who do not are American and those who want the old USA, the one that uses might and bombs to make countrys do what they want.
People in the USA need to understand that the world doesn't need a bully superpower, we want one that not only thinks of itself but every country on the planet.
Obama got a bad deal when he got in because of the timing of the financial crisis and he has done well in understanding that the USA can not be like it was in the cold war.
Pity we can not vote because this vote will affect everyone on the planet and MR just seems bat # crazy to me.
S&F.

Some people that disagree with him want peace with other nations, economic prosperity, social responsibility, personal choice, and the end of cronyism. In other words, people like me that don't support either Romney or Obama.

Anyone that supports either is supporting the opposite of the above.

After what Romney did to the people in the GOP this election cycle, he has proven to be a megalomaniac controller.

I don't think America needs that, not that Obama is much better, lesser of the evils perhaps

Sure does sound like an endorsement for BO. Can't abide by that. BO is the worst president ever and a fraud.
I'm voting for the American - Romney, soon to be President Romney.

there is a few problem with your thread title.. and yourself..

1) the democrat chief remove GOD from the party platform, a pure breed democrat do not call out GOD's name

2) if there is a GOD, I am pretty sure HE will not approve to insert one man's p*nis into another man's body, i.e. no way no GAY, now close your eye and imagine GOD doing GAY, that will be a pretty good picture for your children..

your title should read: Oh Man, Please don't let Romney win!

see, we all can be at peace if we choose our words properly..

That was a good laugh thanks.

Sadly you described both Romney AND Obama, because politically they are near mirror Images and tow the line for the globalist tycoons and nobility. No matter who wins, the same policies will remain in place.

Although I don't trust Ron Paul at all, his basic freedom oriented platform was the only real hope for turning this train wreck around.

The corporate media is calling it a "dead heat" when independent media sources and polling shows Obama clearly ahead. THIS worries me. Its deja vu of the 2000 DEIBOLD/hand picked supreme court win for Bush, They want to portray the election as neck and neck so they can steal it. I predict a repeat of 2000. They know Romney cant win any other way.

So what is it that you like about the guy?

He had an almost 70 percent approval rating going in.

A democratic house and senate.

The backing of the American people and the mainstream press.

He was mythical.

People wept at just seeing him. (makes me sick to think about.)

And today he is fighting for his job.

Why is that, do ya think?

Because he isn't a good leader.

He fought for ObamaCare when everyone else was losing their homes and their jobs. For 18 months he fought for healthcare and not for my husband who was losing his job.

He passed a stimulus bill full of pork that didn't do squat to get us going agan.

Obama thinks he is special and gifted, but he doesn't get it.

He just doesn't get it.

Obama had his chance---the best chance out of any president in history. He was mythical.

But he blew it.

Gosh, I am just constantly surprised by the weeping, Obama-loving kook aid drinkers here on ATS.

Of course O barmy hasn't done any of that though has he, or increased drone strikes which in turn has increased civilian casualties. sorry dude take your head out of your a%$3 and look around. everythingg you say Mittens will do, barry is already doing it, except maybe Iran.

Why would we vote for American elections, we have our own idiots to deal with, we would also have to offer the same and with the current report that more young Americans are socialist you can forget that, i have no intention of seeing another Labour government for a while yet

I have to agree with you. It's a scary thought that he could be president. Lowering taxes on the wealthiest Americans, like they really need another tax break. War with Iran. Abolishing a bill that prevents health insurance companies from not covering people with pre-existing conditions.
and that's just what we know for sure he'll do.....

good thing it's all fake, and Romney will do exactly, possibly, what he's told to do like a good little puppet. There's no difference between Romney and Obama.

BUT on the offchance my paranoia is wrong.....the thought of Romney as president, and the fact so many people support him, scares the # out of me.

I concur ! Good luck Obama !

And so it begins...

In a race that is statistically tied, it seems to me that the media is doing a fantastic job of setting up the Obama supporters for a massive disappointment. The reality is that this is a close race and could go either way.

Apparently you've forgotten about the multitude of executive orders that bypassed congress, and that have been eating bite size chunks of our liberties for breakfast!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Hi, it's me, ya know the nobody you placed on Earth about a half a century or so ago. Ya, I am still here, ain't doing great, but ain't doing that horribly either, for that I thank you.

I am sure that you have noticed, who couldn't have, but it's election time here in the USA. God, you know me better than I know myself. I have always tried to played by the rules, always tried to be on the up and up. But, I was wondering if you would consider doing me a favor....

By what I've read, these new voting machines are really easy to hack into and manipulate. So much so that both the republicans and the democrats seem to have been doing just that. There is no fair play or playing by the rules anyways. God, I know that what mere humans can do, you can do so, so, much better!!! Please, Dear Lord, could you give us a miracle, and produce the results that would cause both these parties to lose. There's a libertarian that seems to be more in line with what this country needs, or if you are as concerned as some people here are about what we are doing to this once beautiful planet, maybe you would find the green party candidate more to you liking. And there are more options than just these two parties...
God, these two parties have taken turns at bringing us down to such a low level
I m afraid that they will soon destroy this country. Please have pity on us and give us the leadership that you see as being the best choice for this country...

Thank you for listening to me...
Amen....

My issue is with Romeny and his Binders of Women.... I even wrote a short poem...

Sugar Plum Fairies
Dancing in Romneys Head
Binders of Women
Spread Across His Bed....

Sorry, but I just think it is hilarious!!
On a serious note, I think his desire to take away womens rights are the worst. If you are a man, or should I say a lot of men, do not understand this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
