Mystery object in sky captivates locals

Note taken.Compass bearings and a reference for elevation would be awesome,however the video is still very interesting.Hopefully one of the eye witnesses may have some other information that would help determine bearing and elevation...

The airplanes seen circling this object is one of the most compelling mysteries in this event.
I doubt they would have been circling a kite, or balloon, or contrail.

was in house waiting for ex wife to show up to drop stuff off, her boyfriend pointed in sky when they came here & said what is that me and my fiance looked up and saw the object at first i thought it was a balloon then realized it was much bigger and odder was cylindrical in a vertical position , ran in house to get my skymaster 15X70 binoculars, i could see it fairly well, was no higher then 10,000 ft in sky did not look like a balloon or maybe a weather balloon having never seen a weather one i looked online to see if i could match it but did not, at one point a airforce training In-flight Refueling went over head as it does nearly every tue-thur and it was much higher then object , and there were a few smaller planes in area as we live near tricities airport and get a number of large-small planes over house daily it was slowly moving sw-nw took at least 30-45mins to move a hands width west was around a 50-60o angle looking at it reminded me of a mylar but seethrough at some points it shined so bright as polished metal would i would imagine it would as the sun was not at its noon position yet when first sighted looked at it for nearly 3hrs i brought out my orion XT10 telescope to try and see it better but could not get a lock on it unfortunately. then lost it behind some oak trees.

I often lurk on this website, I am a big fan of all of the information and conspiracies and I must mention most of the UFO threads don't really pique my interest, but this one, well this one is just plain #ing weird.

About a week ago, I was laying on my driveway with a guy friend talking and just watching the stars. Then this object appears about, say, 200 feet up in the air? It looked JUST LIKE THIS THING IN THE VIDEO. My friend and I had no idea what the # it was but we watched it. It moved rather slowly, like nothing we had ever seen before. It had no lights, it was just white. We did not even bother taking any pictures because our phones would not be able to capture it, instead we laid and watched it. It moved, so curiously. We knew it was was not a bird or a plane or anything of that sort, though just to calm our nerves we both decided to believe that it was a lone duck, since their wings are dark. But I was not fooled. This thing was just completely unidentifiable. I haven't forgotten it ever since and I don't believe I will. This is the third time I have seen an unidentified flying craft appear by my home.


Oh forgot to mention, I am in central Florida.

Wow very cool story I wish you would have tried to take pics. I want to get a decent camera. I haven't seen anything yet but it's nice to be prepared.

Sure, like Roswell!

While that could end up being an excuse, secret military experimental crafts don't just "get away" from them. If the military wants it to be secret, you better believe it will stay a secret. I'd go for a weather / solar balloon before a military craft. But that would be the weirdest solar or weather balloon I've seen.

Wasn't Roswell a high altitude balloon device to detect the Rooskies nuke testing?

Anyways, it just screams balloon to me. I can't think of any reason other than a military project as to why planes were sent to check it out. Maybe it worked perfectly and the planes just went up to check it's progress?

It's probably some secret 'thing' but aren't you curious what it is what it is doing? I just wonder where it is. Did it land? Is it still up there floating / flying around?

Good questions.
I'm guessing some high altitude surveillance balloon being tested.
As far as what happened to it, well have MUFON reports spiked
in the direction it went? Maybe it's too damned high to see with
the naked eye?

The Air Force came up with three different explanations for Roswell. After that fiasco, they adopted the "no comment, no threat we can determine, have a nice day" response. Roswell was a nuke test as much as the Phoenix lights were really just flares. i.e no chance at all.

These pictures remind me of the sightings in the last couple of years where people are reporting flying jellyfish sort of UFOs. Seems silly.. until you see these pictures.

Hi there. I find your post extremely interesting in that you say that what you saw was nearly identical to the original postings. Would you care to elaborate on a few things?
-Why do you state that it appeared ~200ft in altitude?
-Since it was night, what time was it?
-Where in Florida do you live?
-Was the object whispy in appearance (like in the daylight photo's), or did appear more solid?
-The extreme ends of the object appear to be symetrical, but inverted on each end. Did you see this characteristic?
- Can you state which way it was moving, in cardinal direction? (N,E,S,W)
Thanks. This is one of those rare observations that has multiple witnesses, and multiple video sources, so it is worth getting as much data as possible about it. It could be some kind of atmospheric anomaly, but the fun is in trying to figure out what it could be.

Contrails are seen all over the country every day. I am pretty sure that if all of these witnesses were seeing a contrail, they would have recognized it. To me, the images do not look like contrails.

Heck im looking at one of them ufo's right now 5:59 pm...the sun hits it so hard the plane is silver and glowing with 2 big trails..The plane glows from the sun hitting them they look like there a sphere u can't no matter how hard you start see wings.

Well, if you were watching a contrail around sunset, then the hue is orange-red. Everywhere on the planet, so please stop insisting that your observations are similar, because in the videos and photo;s, these are daylight shots showing no orange-red hue, and the times do not jive with what you are saying as well.

To me it looks like he is filming a still image or a scratch on a blue surface. I don't buy this one

Airplanes did not circle this object. Find one eyewitness that says that airplanes circled the object.

Here is one witness report:

It was obviously being watched by our government because of all the planes flying by it. My cousin states that they do not usually fly over the area and definitly not that many. I could not make out what kind of planes they were but we got video of some of them and you can see a lot of vapor trails from them. I don't know what it is. Maybe extraterrestrial, maybe a drone or satalite from a foriegn country that invaded our airspace. I don't have any idea but I believe that those airplanes were diffinitly interested in it.While I was there my cousin said they had seen 16 fly by it.

Several jets appeared to fly in the vicinity of the UFO. Contrails could be seen zigzagging all around the object. This made for much speculation by those who witnessed the strange, airborne object.
