How can you be so convinced it's a hoax?

Okay. What I'm saying is you believe this guy invested "X" amount of dollars in some huge balloon and various other supplies. Then he proceeded to drive out to the middle of nowhere and launched his balloon just to freak out a few people?

Looks like he had a paperclip on his car windsheild and filmed through the glass.
I'll try to replicate it later.

I have a good friend who lives there, but he's heard nothing about this. He will talk to some people later on today and let me know if anything good comes up. I did did a local article about it, saying that jets were scrambled to investigate after the sighting, giving some credibility to this maybe not just being a balloon. Here's the link: www.williamsondailynews.com...
FROM SOURCE:
Several jets appeared to fly in the vicinity of the UFO. Contrails could be seen zigzagging all around the object. This made for much speculation by those who witnessed the strange, airborne object.

The same "paperclip" was observed by eight people through binoculars hundreds of miles away in Hagerstown and Williamsport, MD. If the video is a hoax and is indeed a paperclip, then the guy just took the opportunity to make the video based on the sightings. The sightings in MD and KY/WV could be completely separate objects....just saying....

So they say.
And UFO chasers aren't known to lie or stretch the truth, ever.

And allllll the pictures and video????
I checked the vids, articles and pictures. I have no idea what this is, and from what I am able to tell, I would classify this as a "definite unidentified object".

Facebook was alive with people commenting on the pictures that were uploaded. It made for an interesting afternoon in and around Williamson.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.
It looks like a motion blurred image of an aircraft, flipped in different directions, to make it appear as though its different photos. As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.
Precisely. A still photo with motion blur of a plane with the wing lights on....flipped in the second shot. Off to the HOAX bin!
