Candidtae Romeny will get a pass from me. His full-time job is getting elected.

Obama's?

Leading the country.

If President Romney starts with this mindless tripe, then we'll both do the okie-doke on him.

Kay?

I am confused? This wasn't "mindless tripe"?

Honey Boo Boo or Snookie?"

Romney replied, "I'm kind of a Snooki fan. Look how tiny she's gotten. She's lost weight. She's energetic. Just her spark-plug personality is kind of fun."

Bottom line? Both candidates are running for the office. Both candidates have to do off-interviews with pop-culture-celecrity outlets to try and reach the youth voters. They both have to have some practiced responses to pop-culturally relevant questions so they don't make news being "out of touch"...and with that I'll return to my original post/comment...who cares.

Aside from the general silliness that is in all my threads/posts. . . there sits a strand of seriousness.

Obama meets with The View, Letterman, Radio Interviews, Leno. . . . blah blah blah.

Yeah, I get it, he's running for re-election. He should be doing those things along with doing his job.

NOT instead of it.

My wife knows these people. I confused a picture of Paul Abdule and asked my wife it was Mariah Carey and she looked at me sideways. I am afraid to ask her who Nicki Minajs is.

If I had to see a cat-fight (preferably in jello) between two women, my choices would be different.

C'Mon Beez...you can find better things to knock the POTUS for than actual campaigning. He kinda needs to do that. It's the way the system has been set up...it's a 4 year gig with an optional re-up at the public's pleasure.

Mitt has an easier time of it, being able to focus 100% of his energy toward campaigning. The POTUS is expected to run double-time at double speed.

That's the thing. Any incumbent should have an easier time because they've been in the spotlight for the past 4 years. Their "job" should be the basis for the campaign.

They shouldn't have to reinvent, recreate themselves. Unless their job performance has been less than stellar. . . . . . .

Now that's scary. I had that in mind as I wrote that!

Let me see. Obama is asked a direct question in an interview from a radio host.

Obama - - doesn't side step it - - try to throw it into the trash can - - or tell the host its not a presidential question.

Instead - - Obama gives a direct response.

Oh! The horror of it

LOL

My kid worked with both of them. I think you're right.

Believe me FOX is loving this feud and free advertising.

He gave a purial answer. The fact that he HAS to go on these shows and run for re-election like he's never been in office before, speaks volumes of his record.

Thus my previous point.

So what?

If it had been Romney - - you would have spun it to be charming and current or something.

Nope. Romney's job is to get elected.

Obama's job is to run the country. (into the ground)

No they shouldn't...unless thier opponents spent the last 3+ years re-inventing THEM. As a socialist, marxist, terrorist, Kenyan, Black agendist, etc. etc. etc.

And his record show a recovery...but the idealogues on the right? Numbers don't matter...it's not a recovery unless it's a Repub in the White House..

Record profits, dropping unemployment, soaring stock-market, recovering in almost every metric...

Just today...The retail sales numbers were outstanding...
Retail Sales Beating Forecasts Support U.S. Growth
www.bloomberg.com...

But what you get from the right is ...doom!!!

He IS running on his record...The far right doesn't care about an improving economy, they just care about his birth certificate.

Beez...the truth is that your guy is gonna lose. I know it looks "close" and it's a "Horserace" and all...but that is only due to the media wanting more viewers. The race has tightened, like it was going to anyways - even before the crappy performance by the POTUS at the debate. It's what presidential races do in the final weeks. But the voter segments that the Pres. has locked up will carry him. The liberals, the liberal moderates, plus the Latinos and African Americans by a historic margin. The "browning" of America has arrived by pure mathematics and evolution...the old white male voter's dominance over elections has slipped ever so slightly below the controlling majority this year, More minorities voting than ever and almost exclusively for Obama. Paul Ryan will cause the Elderly vote to shrink for the GOP to a much lessor presence than before if not split it altogether. Mitt's gonna lose and I don't just say that cuz I lean left. I say it as a political junkie who follows these things more closely than is healthy and am by my nature good at seeing past BS.

Everybody is wringing thier hands...I think what we are seeing is more money in politics than ever before, muddying the waters and the polls while the media is cheering a horse-race, but Pres. Obama will be re-elected by a comfortable margin. Hold me to it.

Soo sad that our elections now have these pathetic pop culture influences. These media personalities have sullied the actual intent of our elections. Such a perfect chance for a more regular approach w/ the potus, to ask any number of serious questions. Instead it's about American Idol??? Hey Emperor Beezer what is your take on the Watership Down incident?
