President Obama thinks Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey can sort out 'Idol' feud

So here's the story. . .

The President of the United States has weighed in on the greatest feud of our time. And by that we mean yes, Barack Obama has commented on the on-set tensions between "American Idol" hosts Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

If you recall, during a recent taping of the show Minaj unleashed a slew of not-safe-for-primetime words at Carey; Carey later countered with claims that Minaj threatened to "shoot" her (a claim Minaj has denied).

Naturally, a feud of such magnitude was top of mind when the president called in to radio host Michael Yo's "The Yo Show," and in a display of diplomacy we've come to know well from Obama, the president does not take a clear side on the feud, but he's optimistic everything will be OK in the end.

"Can you repair the relationship with Mariah Carey and Nikki Minaj on 'American Idol'?" Yo asked.

Okay, I know in the grand scheme of things this is nothing. I know this is an election year. For goodness sake, it's Idol!!!!

Its goes to show you the signs of the time, and how they use hollywood, and stars to keep people busy while they do other things. The grand puppet show. And I am starting to think now a days, we are the Muppets to the puppets. If that makes any sense.

They keep our eyes away from what matters most. They keep our minds soft like pudding. And at the end of the day, we are so tired from our 14-15 hour shifts, we could care less. Only care to get some sleep so we can do it again, to make ends meat.

How dare you trick me into reading about this Mariah and Nicki bs.

Just publicity for idol to grow off of.

I agree in part, that they use things like this to try and distract us. It's obvious that DC thinks the nation has ADD.

"Mariah, she's actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and Nick (Cannon), she's a wonderful lady. Nicki I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."

Our president has her on his Ipod.

Well it is expected from our celebrity president, you know, the guy who said "Everybody's so serious" when asked about the upcoming debate. No Mr. Obama, your supporters are just worried that you are in fact just a little kid in a man's suit, and they are worried you will embarrass yourself and them again. Maybe YOU should be a bit more serious about your responsibilities???
