Animals/Pets Forum?

Wow how long has this thread been going...............too long IMO !!!!! Lets have a pets forum........ATS you know it makes sense, think of the extra visitor numbers

Been a proud owner of a beautiful 6 month Beagle who goes by the name of Stan, I think been able to keep up with all the news on ATS and also learn as you do from other ATS members who would post in the pets forum would be fantastic.

I would buy a ATS dog collar when available

Yes, add the animal forum. The reactions and psychic experiences of animals should be documented somewhere on ATS.

The profession is ripe for abuse.

I have had the same suspicions as Isak however I asked myself,

Why would a person go through 6 years (is it? might be 4 but 6 sound right) for veterinary science with the last year or two of actual prac work with other vets do so to be able rob people of their money after they bring their pets to them?

Wouldn't they have taken up that study because they have an interest and maybe a special care for animals?

I wanted to try and find blame to place on a vet that seen my Tyson just two weeks before he passed, I came home to find him dazed and confused standing in the corner of the lounge room, he seemed to have issues with his sight as well.

I took him to the vet after a few days of observation and he seemed to be improving only to pass very quickly in my arms in my backyard on a Sunday afternoon, (this is the first time now in over a year I can mention this or think of this without breaking down, wait.. a few tears brewing...all oK now).

This thread is still going, I am pretty sure I posted in it earlier a few months back but just wanted to add more and say this is still a great Idea,

Now I remember, If the forum was put up I know I would spend much time in there and that would in effect stop me from deluding my mind with all the other conspiracies available to delude oneself with,

Instead of editing my other post I will add another so the post count grows and someone takes notice that the demand is quite high.


Actually haven't posted in this thread and going through it, it seems there was another posted around the same time with the same question being asked, I must have posted in that one.

Will keep this thread in mind and try visiting more often to add if there is anything of relevance I can.

My Clementine is getting ready for her molting. It is a nerve racking time for me as that is when most spiders die. I lost my Colombian Bird Spider a few years ago during a molt.

I can hardly wait until I am back home and in the company of my Black German Shepherd puppy. There are some Monks in Western Illinois that breed them, can't wait.

I would love an animal forum!

Hope Clementine makes it through okay. I have considered an 8 legged friend myself lately, or 4, or no legged, winged or whatever, I miss having animals around. I can't afford it and if I could, the possible vet bills and such is just something I cannot do. Hard stuff but maybe one day again. =)

We got a place for any animal related questions and its in cryptozoology or paranormal and even skunk work. What do you want to discuss? Unknown animals? Chimeras? Man made hybrids? Creatures from other planets which are not carbon based lifeforms? We got crypto for that.

BUT no, you are on a specialized forum which focus firstly on conspirations and mysteries of all kind and secondly every alternatives and ideas possible, and YOU decide you want a normal forum where you could post videos your dear cats dogs or pigs' grunts? There are thousand of others boards for that, so why here?

eh you are right.. I forgot about them because i never visited them not even once. But the idea is still very silly. But you know i dont care how many are behind this idea? It doesnt mean anything.

I just posted the story of my cat's cysts on the turmeric thread. It would be great to have an animal forum for these types of threads. It won't just be cute animal pictures. There are lots of homeopathic stories, pet food industry conspiracies and supernatural stories to make it a successful forum!::

Also there are many supernatural threads on here and lots of members claim to feel their deceased pet's spirits.

The following is another reason why a pet/companion animal forum would be great.

An elderly couple who left their 13 ½ year old Dachshund tied outside of the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter near Los Angeles with a note asking for him to put to sleep because they could not afford to care for him will be reunited with the dog.

Heart breaking but uplifting at the same time. When it comes to our beloved companions, those that are loved and cared for and those that are not so lucky, have a way of uniting us as people.

Perhaps the ATS Poobahs prefer not to have us feeling all warm and fuzzy.
