I understand why people are against this to a certain degree. The timing is what one would consider horrible, amidst the many violent protests around the world based on the same subject. However, I am an advocate of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression, and I think that the French should not let a bunch of "Muslim Rage!" prevent them from saying (or drawing) what is on their minds.

Honestly, the Middle East needs to get it's head of out it's behind. How can you expect the world to grind to a halt, and make sure that no big bad bully says anything mean that may hurt your feelings. Sorry guys, if you can't run with the big dogs get off the field..... Well, theirs that or there is the option of NOT going on the websites, reading the magazines, or watching the TV show that is playing material you find offensive, just like the rest of the world does.

Also, is it ok for those rioting in the middle east to disrespect us by burning our flags and calling for "Death to America", but not ok for anybody to include their Prophet Mohamed in whatever media project their choose?

The timing is certainly suspect, however the whole Muhammad thing is still fresh in the news, so it makes sense for an artist to want to cover the story while fresh, rather than when it's last weeks garbage. Once again, Freedom of Speech should be held higher than the hurt feelings of violent, barbaric protestors and demonstrators who demand respect and judicial punishment for something that is completely legal here.

It could very well be a tactic to add fuel to the fire, but I still stand by their right to publish it.

Looks like "they" whoever they are, are doing all they can to create a new WAR between Muslims and Christians, or the west vs arab, race war whatever you want to call it, it is closer now then ever since WWII. Financial crisis lead to wars unless we the people stand against it..

First that movie about Muhammed, wich caused wide spread revolts (i know in total they were less then 1% of the muslim population but still its going global). Now a French newspaper is going to publish a Muhammed image, looks clear to me.

GOOD FOR THEM! If the princess is stupid enough to parade outside naked, knowing full well that she has photographers following her everywhere, then she shouldn't be shocked that one of them will snap pictures of her in the nude. And KUDOS to them for not being scared into silence by the muslim extremists. This is the year 2012 AD .. not 1000 AD ... and there are political cartoons of everyone and all religions on the planet. The extremists will just have to GROW UP and realize the truth of the matter .. that their cult has very nasty origins and people are going to make political cartoons of it. They dont' get special exemption status from the truth being told in cartoons ...

I think this storm can of 2 ways:

The muslims will wake up to what their Religion has become and that what they have been told was all a lie.

or

A Terrorist Group will set off a bomb somewhere which will start a chain re-action of events!!

Not just France, but it is my understanding that the Muslim populations of several European countries are becoming a problem. Perhaps THIS IS a means to draw this thing to a head and boot them back home where their outdated and extreme ideas are welcomed.

I think the magazine is free to say whatever they want about whoever or whatever they want.

The film was an excuse to act like idiots...now someone is going to spike it again just to show the rest of the world that we do not need these extreme ideas spreading into the educated world. I think it's time to leave them all to their own devices. No one in or no one out. You want your extremism? You can have it....behind this border wall. Cut off aid...no food, no medicine, no money....then the idiots can explain to their families that are dieing that it is the will of God or some prophet. Maybe that is how you stop stupidity and extremism...do not support it at all and let nature kill it off all by itself.

Exactly. I think this is being done on purpose to help take pressure off of the U.S. And ya know, I think other countries should do the same. Lets all the western countries all publicly, loudly make fun of Muhammad all at once. They wont have a choice but to start a war they know they can't win, so they will have to hang their heads in go throw a tantrum in the corner instead.

Actually, this is a great idea! Let them get all crazy over this right after the movie nonsense. Then, next week someone else "insult" the profit, followed again in a week by yet another high profile instance of Muslim mockery. After a few months the people will A) be tired of burning, chanting and smashing B) have their beloved cities in ruin C) realize how stupid their reaction is

I think she's still technically a Duchess. Not a Princess yet as far as i'm aware...
