I Googled looking for the law you are talking about but I didn't find anything. I found a court case where 11 students were convicted of two criminal counts—one for conspiracy to disrupt a meeting and one for the disruption of the meeting itself but I did not find a law like what is being described in this forum. If you could post a link to this I would appreciate it.





As to the matter of what the Muslim Brotherhood is demanding. They can kiss my ###. As many speeches as I have seen of Muslims shouting death to America I am ready for war. They spout hate nonstop then claim to be a peaceful religion and I am just tired of it. They want to eradicate us from the earth and make no apologies for it well I am beginning to think the only way this sh#t will end is when either they get their wish or we take them out. I am not usually this mean spirited but they already have an us or them mentality and maybe we should as well.

IMO religion is the problem. How many wars and how many murders have to happen until the human race figures out that religion is nothing more than a bunch of BS fairytales and if there is a god he/she doesn’t give a damn what you believe. What kind of god needs to be told how great he/she is? If there is a god he/she must consider us as a huge screw-up.

Of course they take offense to this, and of course they offend others. That's the nature of the beast, and I'm not denying it. All I'm saying is what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Don't go around offending folks and expecting not to be offended right back. Christians do that, Muslims do that, Jews do that. In defense of the Christians, however, I really can't recall the last time they burned down an embassy or killed an ambassador because some guy half way around the world decided to title his art work "Piss Jesus".

There is offense, and then there is violent offense. I may be offended because you use beer on your wheaties instead of milk, but I'm not going to go down the street and randomly kill off the first Mexican I see because you did - not even if you use Corona or Dos Equis.

If that were true, and I were you, I'd grab the nearest soapbox and hit the street corner, criticizing Israel loudly and proudly until a fly would not light on them. Sure, you may get arrested, but it provides the perfect opportunity to carry the law all the way to the SCOTUS and have the entire thing declared unconstitutional, as it most certainly is if it is as you say.

I think that the upstanding muslim brotherhood are right on this. We should all follow their lead and I don't think that we should hesitate to behead or stone anyone who speaks badly of the Koran or the great prophet. After all, it makes for a great spectator event and a good day out which the whole family can enjoy as can be seen in videos of such events available online.We also get to have party like parades afterwards when we drag the offenders bodies through the streets like trophies.

How can any of this be a bad thing?

You seem to be confusing the Muslim Brotherhood for Muslims. Understandable, since they use that term in their organizational name, but being "Muslim" is not the source of their political activism - greed and lust for power is. Being Muslim is just an ancillary that they are hiding behind, hoping to direct ire at all Muslims, and it appears to be working.

They are much like the Westboro "Baptists" - attempting to hide political activism behind a religious veneer by employing a religious name in their organizational title.

NO religion has ever started a war. None. Zero. Zip, Zilch. Nada. Greedy and power-mad humans, on the other hand, very pften start wars, and attempt to hide their greed behind a religious title. The religion itself is not to blame - greedy, power-hungry humans misusing a religion as a shield are. Religions are abstracts, mere ideologies. How do you criminalize assaults on an idea? A person, OK, but Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc., are beliefs only. It would be a pretty sorry day if some people had their way and were able to prosecute others because they don't agree with their beliefs. I guess the witch hunts really aren't over, huh?

I haven't seen anyone entertaining it at all. Please let me know if you see any statement from a US politician agreeing that there should be bans in place, because I highly doubt any politician defending the idea would be in their position six hours later.

I think people are missing the intention of this. The Muslim Brotherhood doesn't seriously expect the US to create laws restricting freedom of speech in this way. This statement - or demand - is intended to be read by their own people.

This is political brain farting, meaningless to the outside world and intended to placate their own rabid religious fundamentalists. That's all this is, and people here even talking about it is pretty pointless.

But, it's a good opportunity for the ATS community to all get their knickers in a twist.
