Isn't it strange how our perception is so different. We listened to the same women, yet we "see" each one differently.

Michelle sounded like a cross between a preacher and a lawyer to me...and I don't trust either when their mouth starts moving. For instance, you especially liked the part where she said they didn't care whether you are a Dem or a Repub. I laughed when I heard that. Obama has always made it more than clear, imo, that he is only concerned with his party's viewpoint and in pushing THAT agenda. He never misses a chance to insult that part of the American population that doesn't agree with his policies. He has never really been serious about meeting in the middle. But, that is my perception. You probably buy into the Dem's talking point that the Repubs are obstructionists.

I perceived all the Dem speeches as having one of two messages: "Big government is your sugar daddy" or "Come, suck at the tit of Big Government".

I watched the GOP convention start to finish. It wasn't always easy...especially Ryans lie marathon, but it was neccessary if I am going to come to objective conclusions.

On topic. Michelle's speech was not shy about praising the govt. Funny how she left out the hard working private enterprise that comprises the majority in this nation. She praised all public workers, the "auto bailout" cough cough choke....the student loan takeover by the govt. and govt. sponsored healthcare reform. Way to inspire a nation on the tipping point.... whatever floats your boat...

Hey! I watched Michelle's speech!!!! Two martinis later and it sounded pretty good

I wasn't bragging... I literally could not bear to watch it. Too much screaming and yelling and twisting, blah blah blah... I've heard it all before... Blame Bush.... What could Obama have possibly done with such a horrible deck of cards.... Obama had no choice but to increase the deficit by $5.5 trillion.... etc etc... The govt. is great... govt. workers are great...govt programs are great.... They are so good that we now have broken another record!!! $47 million people on SNAP. Those tax payer funded ad campaigns must be working to get more people on the govt. tit.

I will definitely be watching Super Bill speak tonight and Obama tomorrow.... I promise!!!! I'm dying to count how many times Obama says "I" or "Me"....
