I guess so! I actually asked the question in all seriousness, because all I see are rocks and dust...If someone could give an idea of what they are describing to be possibly a wire and whatever else in a general location of the photo; "maybe" I would contribute some sort of an opinion.

The cool thing about having a Left and Right Navigation Cameras side by side is that you can put the images it takes together and create stereoscopic images. By using the parallax effect to our advantage we can even estimate the distance of the objects. In this case we can easily use the wiggle stereoscopy effect.

If you get the Left NavCam image taken at 19:42:53, and the Right NavCam image taken at 19:42:53, and you combine them together, and align the object in question, and alternate the images, this is what you get:



If you combine the Left NavCam image taken at 19:43:27, and the Right NavCam image taken at 19:43:27, this is what you get:



As you can see in both of the "wigglegrams", the dark spot that the OP's video claims is a "hole", denies it is a shadow, and claims "there is nothing there to cast a shadow", is actually not even a part of the object in question!

The dark spot is moving independently from the rest of the object because it is further BEHIND the object. The dark spot seems to be the shadow of a smaller rock that is behind the main object.

As for the "wire", or the "straight part" of the object... That is just part of the rock! The OP's video claims it is casting a shadow "under it" but he is pointing to an image artifact that doesn't exist in the other images, only one image he selectively chose.

It could be a fracture in the rock, or it was formed that way. Depending on the molecular structure of most rocks, if a rock is under pressure, or damaged in any way, it fractures and breaks in fairly straight lines naturally. Also, there are certain environments that will naturally make rocks with straight edges!

Have you ever heard of Giant's Causeway? Here is a picture... It is 100% natural.





Scientists believe Mars is covered mostly with basalt and or andesitic rock. Giant's causeway is basalt. Look at those straight edges!

I bet if even a single rock like this was found on Mars, some of you people would go insane and claim it's some type of device.

I do not believe there is a 'wire' in the OP video. The 'hole' that members are referring to is part of a tiny structure that appears to be a dome or similar mounted on a geometrically-shaped base. There are many other tiny structures showing in the image I posted above.

In the image shown below you may spot faces - and no, you're not seeing things. I can assure you this is not a case of pareidolia. This very tiny civilization appears to have an art-orientated culture and the 'faces' are formed by small groups of structures. Maybe they realised that one day they would be visited by aliens from another world and had to have a way of saying the planet is inhabited. In the future as long as the original high-resolution images are released without any form of 'doctoring' I think we will have the opportunity of seeing many more instances of architecturally-designed 'faces' showing up on the landscape.

In the image below I have circled many of the features. I would ask you to look carefully at the image as some of the features may take a little time to register.

Ive explained it to him already.

Photozoom changes the pixel sizes, it doesnt alter the image. You cant get more detail out of the image, but you can preserve it as you zoom in. I dont think people understand the concept of the software, thus think its magic or lies.

Not sure how I missed this. In all honesty, this makes more sense then this being a muffler or a hat.

I am convinced long before that there is life on mars but they have gone underground. I have seen myself the underground entrances aligned in a straight line over a long distance using google mars software .
