Women and men have a different anatomy
What's the difference? Well men can't breastfeed for example
There's a reason why naked chest pics of women are 18+

For those who are for this, let me ask you something
Are you perhaps taking equality too far?
And would you want your daughter to participate in this event?

Is this just a tit for tat
equality or bust?
I understand that we all want to see the bosoms of liberty come to fruition

But let me ask you
Boys of all ages can walk topless
Does this mean that you would also be for underage girls walking around topless?

Are you SURE you are looking at the big picture or are you perhaps being short-sighted?

This is America, how disgusting! We much prefer to showcase blood-soaked violence in prime time when our kids are watching. The sight of bare breasts is just too dangerous! Amen.

Were you expecting the Girl Scouts to be behind it?

How much SENSE does "Go-Topless Day" & equal rights to bare chests actually make?

I didn't say I minded the fact the Illuminati got their hat thrown into this thread... I'm sure there are some super hot Illuminati babes out there.

As far as women having the "right to bare boob" well... I think it's all a bunch of hooey. If you took 100 random women off the street and asked them if they cared at all about the right to walk around topless if they wanted to, how many do you think would sprout a chubby about it?

That number would be VERY small methinks.

as they say "much ado about nothing.."

This is a good point. I have 2 young daughters, and I'm of the mindset that while toplessness & nudity isn't some god-awful detriment in general to society, I do think it's not appropriate for public places. I don't think I'd want my daughters waltzing around town bare-chested, either as young children or teens. It strikes me as a potential set-up for a very bad experience.

But it's not really about what YOU want to see. It's about freedom and equal rights for everyone.

Why are you associating freedom and equal right's with the "right" to show your breasts? Is that what freedom is to you? Is that your concept of liberty? To do whatever you want to do?

Having right's isn't the same thing as disregarding all aspects of mutual respect.

Do you support making fat people (men and women) being forced to wear more clothes because you don't want to see it?

I don't.

But that's not why I want people properly dressed. I want it because people should have some decency inside their minds, and know that it's not just because you don't like clothes on top of your skin that you have the right to expose yourself as you wish.

Other people also have rights. A balance and consensus must be reached in order to live peacefully and rightfully in a society. Unless you support anarchism, in that case, none of what I'm saying makes sense.

This idea of things being banned and illegal because people are offended by them is really getting out of hand.

I do agree with that. But just because some people are easily offended by mundane thing's, doesn't validate people doing the opposite.

Women are already objectified.

Mostly because they wish to remain that way.

As proven by the laws that say they have to cover their chests.

Males can't show their sexual organs in public. Does that mean that penises are objectified by society?

I support the women.

If you support women, you would side with real important issues regarding women. Same education access, equal payment for equal work, equal labour rights and special rights that include motherhood and giving birth. Equal opportunity of choice in all matters of life.

That's where the real fight is.

I fully support this and fully intend on going there in person to show my support
I think it's time we all starting treating women equally.
If men are allowed to walk down the street without a shirt then so should women.

I'd call it the
"Free the twins Campaign." personally.

Ok, I'll be done being a douchebag now.

And on a serious note,
Most people, and by most I mean the vast majority, are not people you'd ever want to se with their clothes off.
Honestly, It sounds like a good idea but have you ever been to a nude beach?
I have!!
And I gotta tell ya, It ain't pretty.
I lost my appetite.
It was gross.

Everyone just keep your damn clothes on!!
We are the fattest nation on Earth.Do you really want to see the average woman with her shirt off???
I'm not picking on women either.
Us men are even more disgusting to look at naked.
I don't walk around n public with no shirt.
Who wants to see that?

It's kinda like being a OBGYN.
All guys have at one time or another joked about how cool that would be but most don't ever think it all of the way thru.

Men, look around you right now and ask yourself how many people you'd honestly really WANT to see naked.
Or even topless for that matter. We are not living in Ancient Rome. We are not very phisically attractive as a nation. We are a fat bloated mess.......for the MOST part.

EVERYONE, keep your clothes on and keep your dignity in tact!!

More dirt on the Go-Topless Day founder and the Raelian Movement:

Rael Maitreya proponent, 'Igor N Gratia', preaches the following doctrine from his home page:

"I AM All Oneness HADRON Materia, I AM Elohim-Terran; I AM LOVE - I AM World Peace".

(How interesting then, that we also find the Hadron Collider in the list of Guilderberg connections.)

'Political views' are registered as: "New World Order/Global Empire meets New Cosmic Order/Global Republic via "Royalist-300" Geniocracy'"

'Religious views': "Raelian (= atheist/ creationist)"

Illuminati Who's Who Linked to Raelians

Several videos of the guy who is behind this:

Raëliens: Serious Competitor To Scientology Stupidity

Raëlins=55,000 members
Scientology= 200,000 members

Rael talks about the messages of the Elohim

At first I was going with the "Bitch, please..." approach. Then, after reading some posts here, I went with the, "Maybe they do have the right, after all..."

Then I decided the best approach would be - who gives a rat's behind?!

Of course, there's always also the old adage - if you don't like what you're seeing, don't look.

This was perhaps one of the most subject-related thought provoking posts I've read on ATS in a long time, dude. Starred.

Yes, of course.

Let's all follow that, because we "all have rights". Let's allow people to have sex in public places, let's allow everyone to walk around naked.

Even better, let's allow people to work naked! How cool is that?! Male and female cooks touching your food after scratching their bodies for that located itch... It should be great when a women is menstruating.

Am I the only sane mind in here who sees a problem with someone's right's interfering with your own?

The europeans are not so uptight about bare naked breasts and while they have their quirks I can't say thats caused any harm. If a woman at the beach, in a park or mowing the lawn wants to be topless so be it. Decorum says you're not going to work that way, shopping, or out to dinner even if you have the right. Peer pressure still has its effect even as an adult.

ooglers and others just show themselves up as never having grown from adolecence. Their problem, I say let them free!

Now hold your horses there, mate. I don't endorse full nudity. In fact, I'm likely to walk away if I come to a place where women - or a large collection of men, for that matter - walk around topless. You are free to do the same.
On a similar note, if it actually becomes necessary, I'm pretty sure 99% of employers, restaurants and other establishments would impose rules demanding people to be fully dressed on said location.

Well, I apologize. I re-read my post and I came off sounding a bit like an ass.

Exactly my point, actually. I will extend it by saying that such places already exist, they are called "nudist *place of activity*"...

There is enough freedom for everyone to live as they wish.

On a similar note, if it actually becomes necessary, I'm pretty sure 99% of employers, restaurants and other establishments would impose rules demanding people to be fully dressed on said location.

Yes, I agree and I hope that is the case. I was just making jokes about it because most people just assume that absence of mutual respect and decency goes against any right.

It doesn't, I believe it's the true form of liberty: living in a society where all needs are met.

No, you didn't. Unless you left some nasty stains behind...

Apparently the "protest" was made up of two dozen women... wowwwwwww.

24 people out of a population of 8,500,000

Quite a statement LOL

Yes, I'm aware. I also read the real source for this movement, and it's quite hilarious if I may add.

No worries, dude. I took no offense.

And I definitely see where you're coming from. I have trouble making up my own opinion on this issue, because I'm torn. But fortunately, the decision will ultimately be made by perverted old corrupt politicians, and not me.

I don't mind a well-chiseled bare-chested man in public, buuuuut...I don't think this is going to work in quite the same way for a bare-chested fit woman. A smokin' hot topless women is GOING to be objectified.

So, according to this, I can surmise the following:

1) Who does the objectifying is important...as long as it is you and you alone, fine...
2) Who is being objectified is what is important....if it is a woman, then death to the man who does it...If it is a woman, then it is simply payback...
3) Sure she will...and they do it for money all the time...as evidenced by Playboy/Penthouse/Hustler/etc...

If they want to go topless, then they should.

But instead of appauding individual freedoms, we'll just hear, "Er mer gerd! Berbs"

I honestly see no problems with this... The female breast's primary function is to provide milk to the mothers offspring. Mankind (society, religion, culture) has turned them into a sexual thing.
