You know, I've read the OP and had a good laugh at it, and thought that it's funny but there is something to it. Then I thought maybe some people will feel offended by it, but most of the members will appreciate it and laugh too. Such a mistake....
After 20 and something pages of comments, I realize one thing:

The ones who have to first accept their homosexuality is the gay people themselves.

Its them who have to take a deep breath and relax a little bit. Yes, they are perceived by society as different, abnormal or strange. That's a fact, just like the fact that there were always homosexuals. So why don't get over it also and move on with their life?
They will get their rights where they didn't yet, I'm sure about that. They are already seen as a norm in many, many places. They are being appreciated and successful in many areas of life. Yet, there will always be people seeing them as abnormal and bitchering about them. No matter what they do, they will always be a minority, and there will always be someone against them. They won't change the way this world thinks; the black people got their rights but there is still an awful amount of racism in the world. The feminists got their rights, but there are still so many women suppressed out there. So maybe it's time for homosexuals to understand that this is the best they can get from a world that is not fair with anyone.

And maybe it's time for them to relax, to let go of their anger, their victim attitude and their expectations from other people to "love them for what they are," and accept the things as they are. This was not an "anti-gay" thread, but all the anger and the frustration and the insults thrown in here almost made it one.

When homosexual people around here will feel so "normal and natural" about their own sexuality so they can take some criticism or some jokes about it without thrashing around, then they can come and ask others to take it as normal also; until then they better put their ducks in a row, and stop blaming others for their personal frustrations.

I have the answer for everyone: stop watching t.v.

i don't watch t.v. much anymore because i am sick of every single commercial AND show trying to get me to think in a way i don't agree with, by tricking me, or by passive aggressively suggesting things to my subconscious.

im totally happy with gay straight bi pan, any type of people of any race.

i can find a person of any combination of sexual preference and race, and pick on person at least that i can say "hey that person is a really cool person"

And the reason people believe homosexuality is somehow "worse" than basically anything else, and the reason straight kids think it's totally permissible to bully gay teens, is because our government tell LGBT citizens every day we are not equal, and religious leaders tell LGBT citizens every day that they are sinful deviants on a track to Hell. Our leaders promote homophobia, and that has a trickle down effect. It's NO SECRET that in places such as San Francisco and West Hollywood, for example, anti-gay hate crime rates are quite low in terms of percentage of gays within the city. And that's because the legislators, the leaders of these cities, don't promote anti-gay hate. Hence, you don't see gay teens committing suicide in places such as San Fran and WEHO. Just an example, there are other cities on both sides that highlight the differences. A city like DC has a high gay population yet is still very anti-gay overall because religious leaders promote homophobia in inner-city communities. Homophobia in=homophobia out. Gay acceptance in=gay acceptance out. It's an easy sequence but it's something that homophobes are I guess not quick thinking enough to fully realize that.

LOL. Typical message from a privileged individual. The problem are the victims, not the ones doing the victimizing. If the victims were/didn't do _____________, then they wouldn't be victims/feel like victims. Almost comical, really.

Thanks for telling the gay community that they should "just get over it", you know, being inherently looked down upon and castigated because of our orientation, your advice is surely helpful. Right. Just get over being discriminated against. I mean, it's going to happen, so we should just accept it, and take the discrimination in stride. Take a deep breath and relax, because it really isn't a big deal to be hated for who you are and treated worse on a legal and social level as a result. How silly of me to ever believe it was.

People past the age of about 16/17 should not blame TV commercials for their beliefs. There is something almost tragic in people saying TV commercials and advertisements cause themselves or others to be brainwashed. If you're 16/17+, if you don't have some sort of belief system of your own, then that's clearly your own issue and something you need to resolve.

I thought the OP was well said. A bit silly, we should all be able to laugh at ourselves once in a while. I don't understand gay people, but I don't need to. It isn't my body, or my mind and it makes no difference to me what people choose to do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. If two dudes fall in love with each other (or two girls) and they find some happiness and it doesn't oppose their beliefs...more power to them.

I will say though, I don't understand some of the flamboyance. I know it is probably a minority, but I do come across gay people that for some reason feel the need to "scream" their sexuality to the world. That does bother me. I don't go around letting my behavior be an obvious beacon for the fact that I love me some vagina. I mean, the loud obnoxious stereotypical flamboyance? Why? Or, the obvious accent to their speech that involves 'lisps'??? Or, the over-the-top feminine body language...I've noticed hundreds of gays that strut in such a dramatic way that I've never seen a female come close to. Those are the things that I don't understand.

I'd like to thank the OP for this post. anybody that cannot see, or will not admit that there has been a neo-political agenda within the hommosexual community on a global scale for at least 20 years either does not want to admit it or just cant believe it happened.

I always heard about the 'Gay Agenda' but was never really sure what it was about. Reading your post and analogy, along with the other context in which I heard the term, I now understand what it is all about, and I agree 100% with you.

To whoever doesn't understand the 'show' that gay people put on, I have an explanation. My friend Steven is like that. He has been ever since we grew up together. It's just the way he is.
