When these things happen, it's not the fault of guns, stress, depression or anxiety.

The guy was probably a failure in life and blamed everybody else for his failings. He did this at the Batman movie because in his mind he will now be famous and known.

There's millions of people that go through stress, anxiety or depression and they don't kill innocent people. I had a stroke at age 30 and I had to learn to walk and talk again. I went through serious bouts of depression and anxiety and I have never thought about hurting an innocent person that had nothing to do with it. I'm 42 now and walk and talk fine and own my own business now.

The point is, we coddle these people by trying to blame everything or everyone else but them.

The one thing I don't like is the class warfare rhetoric that blames everyone but the individual for their problems. I saw in the movie Dark Knight Rises trailer where Catwoman says to Bruce Wayne you're basically are going to get yours because you have lived so good.

This puts in place a mentality that people who work hard and who have built a life for themselves are evil and they're to blame for the individual having a hard life.

One:
Why was this violence filled movie rated PG 13???? It looks more violent (according to the A.J. clips on infowars) than any of the others.

Probably because there's no blood. Looking at Bane, and listening to him speak, you'd expect the gore to be as prevalent as it was in Hostel, but even though he's killing people all over the place, it's very sterilised. He wrings people's necks like you would a chicken.

Two:
Why were there 3 month olds in the theatre? Don't you think if parents have enough money to spring for a movie ticket that they'd have enough dough to cough up for a sitter???

I don't like to think what this movie would do to a three month old's mind, to be honest.

All speculation and possibilites so far...for all we know these guys could have been young military recruits on '9gag' that goaded and ''gave instructions'' on how to do such a heinous act.

Shame on you! I would never blame his family for his actions!! I wanted to see if I could dig up more info on him if I could determine WHICH James Holmes he was!

Edited to add: before it's scrubbed!

I wonder if he just lost it or if there is more to it? It sounds as if his Mom had at least some indication...schizophrenia usually has an on set from age 15 through 25.

This I fear we won't know for a few days at the very least. Until then we'll have thread upon thread of conjecture and assuming opinions. Sad days ahead for ATS.

But I keep feeling that it is a broken mind. Somewhere trapped in a violent world. Nonetheless deserving of a bullet between the eyes. -- my opinion only. Anyone who can shoot a child deserves a bullet. Anything else, punishment to the extent of the law, but children.. I'd gladly do it myself.

Only in America. An anti-gun person is a nut. Im literally stunned that such a comment is placed in thread about gun rampage. I know your argument, so spare me. Where were those "good" gun owners that could stop him? Why we never hear about some beast starting to shoot people, and then being killed by some bystander with gun?

Think, it doesn't hurt. Then revaluate your fascination with firearms.

CNN saying amongst the injured/casualties are members of the U.S MILITARY. Hhhmmmm....I think they are trying to say this guy targeted these peeps?? How could he see in the dark??? This was just released

I don't think they are trying to say that all. They are just reporting what they are learning.

Hold on, I want to rewind....reporter from pentagon saying Buckley AFB checking into things...possibly military members tried to stop him and got shot trying?? That sounds more reasonable. TY Val!!

And as i posted a few pages ago....a witness who was being interviewed on Sky said that he saw a guy stood outside the cinema stating that he was from a local air base and not all of his group had come out from the cinema.

Might have just been party of off duty forces guys out for a film.

Hey, I didn't do anything wrong. It just seemed like the obvious thing someone would do. Anyway, my apologies.

The law abiding citizens of Aurora were banned from taking their lawful CCW into the movie theater.

A person who lives in a country that allows the freedom to go to a movie when ever you want to, we do not know the 3 month olds sleep cycle and what difference does it make when a family goes to a movie?

The guilt is upon the guilty not a family for choosing a movie time YOU find illogical. It is not the parents fault a shooter tear gased their child, it is the shooters fault.

God Bless,

a goddam 3 year old infant into a movie theatre with flashing lights and noise loud enough to make ur ears bleed.

you perfectly show how stupid american society has become with an illogical defense of having a newborn baby only 90days in an environment like this.

united states of idiots

You are aware that bullets went through walls, right? Who is aware of the location of the child?

Astounding, so many pages in, it's as if people don't even read that last few.

(guilty - lol, but when I left it was 27. came back to think maybe 31.. 39? Whew!)

Sigh! I agree with you.

It's called self-centered narcissism, with a tinge of societal brainwashing.

Whatever happened to nurturing mothers and fathers?

Scratch that, seems ABC retracted the claim that he is a tea partier...

www.huffingtonpost.com...

To clarify, there is a Jim Holmes of Aurora that is a member of the tea party:

denverteaparty.ning.com...

No confirmation if it's the same guy.

From what I'm seeing he is a member of Occupy. Left Occupy San Diego because they were not radical enough. Was obsesses with V for Vendetta.

Its only a matter of time I think before we find out his ATS account so don't go casting stones too far.

I think they were in another screening, though taking a baby to midnight cinema is possibly questionable.

The responses I got from my previous comment are so ignorant it makes me think many of you are so brainwashed that it has become impossible for you to differentiate violence from freedom. I really hope you can eventually get over that constant honeymoon you have with firearms. Meanwhile continue on counting the corpses. Enjoy your freedom America.

For those who thought the remark that said something like, "Was the movie that bad",
and thought that it was being insensitive -- it's called Comic Relief:

"Comic relief usually means a releasing of emotional or other tension resulting from a comic episode interposed in the midst of serious or tragic elements in a drama. Comic relief often takes the form of a bumbling, wisecracking sidekick of the hero or villain in a work of fiction. A sidekick used for comic relief will usually comment on the absurdity of the hero's situation and make comments that would be inappropriate for a character who is to be taken seriously. Other characters may use comic relief as a means to irritate others or keep themselves confident."
en.wikipedia.org...

I too wonder why folk would bring infants and small children to a midnight movie.
Is this really supposed to be a movie for children: teenagers?
If so why is it so deadly violent as some of you have said?
Sort of fits right in with this event doesn't it?
Maybe the killers had seen a pre-showing.

Do you suppose that air time will be given if they find that the shooters were all taking some sort of Antii-Depressants?

No don't think its just off duty airforce, I cant help but think false flag, UN GUN TREATY, false flag! However, like I posted the other page, they have the opposite affect on me, as a Canadian who isn't allowed a gun, I want my whole family armed and taking courses that cover every possible scenario. Look what happens when only the thugs and militia have them and people are unarmed! This case makes me, who never wanted one, wish to be armed.
