an the bases of unfounded claims of pervasive and ongiong violence.
is not just incorrect,
it is down righ wrong

and is the miss informed opinion of the op
and not based in ANY truth

the op is trying to do reeks of selling opinion as fact
i can show many sources including the feds that show that law enforcement cosiders occupy LARGELY PEACES AND NON VIOLENT

REALLY?? I’M MAKING IT UP??

You say Occupy is peaceful and I say they're violent. Well, let’s see who is telling the truth.

Violence in Seattle

Violence in Washington, DC.

Violence in Oakland

Violence in New York

CASE CLOSED....

Now stop lying to people about the 'peaceful protests', sir. Clearly the protests are violent quite often. No wonder the makers of the video game portray them as the BAD GUYS.

I find it amusing how they want government out of our lives except healthcare, welfare, the environment, personal property, entitlement spending, regulation, ad infinitum ad nauseaum. They are very pro big government, just of a different flavor.

peaceful protest

peacefull protest

peaceful protests

the protestors are peaceful,
ulike the responce

people like you want protected assembly and free speech to be seen as violence?
the violence was started and finished by police.

you are simply flat out trying to paint a non violent movement as violent because you are tea party and in your mind ows is the enemy

no wounder sea bag is tea party,
the ingrained hatred of tea party is on display here

label a stated and practicing peaceful movement as violent.
it goes with the tea party to distort the truth but this is silly

look at the statements of ALL occupy groups across the world,
peaceful and non violent

stop watching fox news
stop drinkinng the cool aid of the neo right

ows is not violent showing videos of violence against ows wont work

You can’t dismiss the violence in the 4 videos I posted simply by repeating “its peaceful” over and over again.

people like you want protected assembly and free speech to be seen as violence?

None of the actions people are getting arrested for are peaceful or protected. I don’t think the 1st amendment protects burning trash can or assaulting people.

you are simply flat out trying to paint a non violent movement as violent because you are tea party and in your mind ows is the enemy

A picture (or video) is worth 1,000 words.

NOPE….I’m not buying the “peaceful” garbage.

People have the right to protest, of course, but that right of protest does not include the harming of the rights of their follow citizens:

Occupy wall street destroying business on main street.

When protestors, be they union strikers, anti-abortion religious fundimentalists, or OWS vandalize property, prevent freedom of travel of other citizens, restrict movement in and out of legal businesses, damage public property, and prevent the legal use of said property by their fellow citizens then the police have the duty and obligation to ask them to disburse.

you disinfo is on disply here to

NOT OCCUPY

you seem to think the readers are stupid

After watching live feeds for a total of 40 hours I'm inclined to agree. If anything Occupy is very uninclined to fight back. Nothing more than a live feed of thugs with clubs and body armor moving people around and intimidating them every 15 minutes.

the agreement is
no matter how violent the police get,
no retaliation is allowed at penalty of removal from ows

we do not fight back at all.

we are peaceful to the point of being beaten up.

seabag is a tea party die hard and hates the fact that ows gets more attension

so he makes stuff up

blatently
example was a thread where he used footage of a unrelated demonstration to try to deionize ows

take a look at his previous threads,
you would think he does nothing else but attack ows

if this was a game it would not be so bad,
but people get hurt at these demonstrations
AND THEY CONTINUE TO BE NON VIOLENT

yet tea bag keeps lying over and over again

i have studied ows many many hours

no one ever fights back from ows

So what you're trying to say is that there's no way the 99% could be led astray by a charismatic figure with a duplicitous agenda? We're just gonna slap the propaganda label on this before the full breadth of the story is revealed (not that COD games generally have very deep stories)?

I'm not too keen on how intelligent most COD players are but I'm guessing they're smart enough to realize that a game taking place in 2025 probably features a fictional plot. As for the twelve year olds who whine their parents into getting these sorts of Rated M games, they're likely to have any political message go right over their heads anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I don't put it past the "release the same spit-shined turd every year" folks who make Call of Duty to have a political agenda, perhaps even one that's anti-Occupy movement however to claim that because they wrote their political views into a game that automatically makes it propaganda is just stupid. People are allowed to express opinions, even ones that we think are wrong-headed or just plain wrong.

If you don't think the masses can be misled than why are millions of Americans going to turn out in November to cast their votes between two corporate-owned zombie candidates like they have for election after election before this one? Somehow I think there's more serious "propaganda" to worry about out there than the pseudo-political rhetoric of a game that's about shoot-em-up action and online competition with your fellow gamers.

But you have been studying them from New Zealand, right? Things can look a bit different with such distance, and depending on teh sources you use. They looked pretty violent to me when I watched them tear up the AFP convention in D.C. 8 months ago. I witnessed physical assaults, the blocking of traffic, the storming of a building, and the prevention of peaceful entrance and exit from the convention center. Ironic, isn't it? That a group who claims to be protesting under the guise of free speech certainly don't want others to have freedom of speech.

if what you say is true then some frank conversations will be had,
the right to peacefully assemble is not negotiable (other than government institutions)

and any owser blocking assembly will be reminded that is not acceptable

EVERYONE has the right to peacefully assemble even if we disagree with their politics

tea party has the same rights to assemble as ows

can you show me any evidence of blockage of assembly?

It was actually big news here. It was infront of the convention center during a Americans For Prosperity meeting.
Blocking doors and pushing an old lady down the stairs:

thecollegepolitico.com... r-uses-her-kids-to-blockade-door-during-violent-scuffle/

I saw one mom come out of the convention center and the OWS guys pulled her kid away from her. Blonde little lady tears into the line swinging her fists until she got her kid back.

Now remember, this is at a political dinner at a privately owned venue. Not a government building. Is this how a peaceful protest treats their fellow citizens?

I never liked these games in the first place, they marginalize the horrors of war and even make kids believe it's fun and cool and full of honor. It already was propaganda before this... but now they are making these kids believe the greatest threat to America could be the 99% of people who want to change America and they are getting them to fight a virtual war against them, so they might be more likely to fight against them when the time comes. It's nothing but status-quo brainwashing teaching them to always kiss the ass of the war machine no matter what their orders are. This is completely sickening on all levels. The people who created this game should be ashamed of themselves.

Apologies. As you can see I am new on this forum and am still getting the hang of it. You can also google "Occupy Wall Street violence at Americans For Prosperity event" to get some stories and vids if I fail again.
