ATS Election- why the heck not?

Just a wacky idea.

Have a thread created that will highlight a nominee for ATS "President" or "Prime Minister" or "Regent" then have an ATS poll to "vote" on the individuals that decide to run.

We all spout off what is wrong and our own plans to fix things, why not showcase your solutions and have people vote?

ATS used to do this very thing a while back. There were some amazing debates and discussions as a result. I really enjoyed it.

I like this idea...

I would like to nominate myself... hopefully win by doing backroom courting and bribery.

I would then have a PI follow/stalk the other potential candidates to find undesirable traits and then use that information to black-male them...

Once i clear the field of candidates through bribery and threats... I will then pivot my views that suit the greater whole of ATS even though my views will probably drastically change after i am elected....

just following the US political rulebook here... nothing shady at all..

We actually did this in 2008. It went for a while but didn't come to fruition. Just as well, Byrd and I would have kicked butt.

I mean, Get Real. It would be About as real as the stupid ranks the Geeks next door at the Trek BBS possess to give themselves some sort of morale boost in their otherwise Life-less lives.
