Never heard of iron supps stopping nail biting! That is really interesting! I have a teenage daughter and she and her friends all have this issue. Thanks for that.

Just checking in as this thread had dropped off my Favorite's List and wanted to give it a fresh bump

There is a a group that has started and IndieGoGo Campaign to raise funds to launch a in depth documentary on the benefits of HIGH DOSE Vitamin C called "Vitamin C: The Unsung Molecule" to be distributed FREE on Youtube.

Vitamin C: The Unsung Molecule is a movie that explores Vitamin C in an in-depth manner and provides an audio-visual reference to a worldwide audience that helps people understand the healing properties of Vitamin C in treating major diseases. The movie will be distributed free on YouTube in 2016, and the creators are raising production funds through an IndieGoGo campaign.

On February 9, 2014, the BBC published an article about a team of American scientists who had obtained startling results in the treatment of cancer using massive injections of Vitamin C. Japanese researchers found similar results. Early research seems to indicate that Vitamin C or ascorbic acid lies at the center of the biochemical processes necessary for life. Taken in high doses, Vitamin C may be able to kill viruses and prove more powerful than antibiotics.

...The movie will be filmed between September 2015 and April 2106 and will be released later in 2016. Copies will also be sent to television channels around the world. All funds over the amount required for production will be donated to research.

Hey guys I'm still here...just made a new batch yesterday after being off since
mid May...I am also sharing with a friend of mine & they are totally into it...

I started March 2013 & have not been sick once...as a matter of fact I
fought off an episode of a MAJOR Nasty Cold. it was last Oct 2014 & I was running
short for the weekend so I did without in order to provide for Dirk me dog...
I felt like Hell on Sun morning...the 2 ladies handling all the paper work & ribbons
at the dog trial were continuously hacking & sneezing over everything....
On Sun when I got up I felt like an 18 wheeler just hit me & it got worse through
out the day...when I got home that evening I started pounding the LVC & then
by noon the next day I was totally normal. That is the closest I have been to being
sick since I started this regime.

I am SO thankful...my dog just came up lame after 2 months off from being lame...
She will be starting Vit C tomorrow. I know she will heal faster with this...

So glad you guys are still here...I hope new people are seeing this site!
Thank You!

Cheers

Apparently I must reply to get the thread back on my subscribed list. I don't get why it keeps falling off.

Let's see, in order to make this post on topic...

I've been taking commercial Liposomal C (as opposed to what I consider "micro-emulsified partial-liposomal C" that I make at home). Benefits: Aurora orange current formula tastes vastly better. Has lots more C. Much more is truly lipo. Downsides: even with that firm charging half the market price, and even ordering bulk direct from warehouse with a big discount, it's still insanely expensive. Plus I won't order in summer as I believe it'd be unencapsulated by the time shipping reached me.

Also my body told me in a dream, twice no less, that it considered my DIY formula "the liver food and repair juice." I think that's hilarious and probably true. People go on about DIY having less C for the measure and less lipo, but I think the lecithin is part of the point of the supplement, it is also astoundingly healthy and I think is a part of why the supp is so good, because it has plenty of it. (I posted a skim summary of good stuff on lecithin eons ago.)

Try adding some baking soda...I find it tastes much better....and cheaper....

Well, I have a bit of a new experiment going on...

The daughter and grandkids 5 & 7 have moved in with us for the school year. Moved in 2 weeks ago, and now have them both on daily lipo C to see if we can ward off the multiple viruses, ear infections and colds the get every year while in school....

I'll report back to let you know how it works. Starting them off with 1 oz. daily dose in their morning orange juice.

All good here, no sicknesses

PS. RedCairo - I believe the thread drops off your favorites if there haven't been any posts in 30 days.... I wish they would change that.

Hi folks....

Along with Liposomal C, NaR-ALA, and Glutathione I'm lifting weights and have managed to get my blood glucose down to near normal values...and have impressed my primary care doc no end ( and myself...!)

(I'm seriously sensitive to the preservatives in insulin)

Now I'm trying to liposome Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR)....

I have ALCAR HCl from PureBulk and when I sonicate the blended mix of ALCAR and Non-GMO Soy Lecithin the lecithin precipitates out...this hasn't happened with the other three....

2 cups reverse osmosis filtered water mixed with 6tbsps lecithin

1 cup RO water mixed with 2 tbsps ALCAR

set on counter over nite, blended, sonicated....

Separates during sonication...

Any ideas...?

(Adding Na Bicarbonate just produces a very foamy separated solution)

Thanks,
Tarasco

Most likely due to the water soluble factor....is Acetylcarnitine water soluble? I don't know.

I can't remember where I read it, but I thought that Lipo can only be made with water soluble vitamins.

Vitamins are separated into two categories based on how they are absorbed and whether or not they are stored in your body. Water-soluble vitamins are those that dissolve in water upon entering the body. Because of this, your body cannot store excess amounts of water-soluble vitamins for later use. There are a total of nine water-soluble vitamins: the B vitamins -- folate, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 -- and vitamin C.

Hi Julie

ALCAR is water soluble....

Yes, it's true...it's the nature of liposoming that only water soluble substances work....
The lecithin forms the fat soluble casing around the water based substances we are liposoming....

The acidity of the ALCAR shouldn't change anything...the Vit C as Ascorbic Acid is an acid in its own right and doesn't cause the lecithin to precipitate out....

Hmmmm....

Well...the new fresh lecithin separated, too, with the ALCAR...

It's back to encapsulating the ALCAR....

(Apparently ALCAR works synergistically with Na-RALA which I still take liposomally...so I'm still happy)

So, I've been taking commercial liposomal C, Aurora brand. This is allegedly 3g per Tablespoon. Taste is "less hideous" than most other brands and certainly less than the DIY stuff.

Thing is... I'm not sure I really notice a lot of effect. I mean... sometimes I take a ton of it, and yet, when I took dramatically less of the DIY stuff -- say, 8g (as opposed to my sometimes taking up to 60g/day of the other) -- I actually got low-mineral effects (I'd forgotten to supplement with extra minerals), and usually had a significant level of what I call "body integrity" -- it's not really energy, it's not really strength, but it's somewhere almost-there. And I always had a real psychological effect, much more patience. But I'm not sure that I'm getting most of that now.

I'm wondering if it's the brand, or, if maybe a lot of the positive benefits of the DIY-C are the lecithin not the C.

Hello everyone hope we are all well! This thread needed
a bump & I am currently making a new batch. I let myself
slip for 2 months & I got sick for the first time in mid Oct.
A cold including head, nose & chest & couldn't speak for a
week.
Any new recipes? I'm still using the same one, however today
was the easiest in making the recipe WITHOUT making a mess.
I found an 8 cup measuring glass & this was the first time using
it. I was able to mix the liq. sunflower lecithin in it, mix the AA
in a 4 cup glass & the sodium bicarb in a separate cup. I used
the stick blender. Then slowly added the dissolved sodium bicarb
to the dissolved AA, then added most of that to the lecithin
before pouring into the sonicator, then poured in the rest of the
Vit C mix into the sonicator & stirred. There wasn't enough room
to pour all the C mix into the 8 cup glass due to foam.

I only used 2 tab of sodium bicarb this time & that was so much
easier to dissolve into 2 cups of water & then the reaction mixing
it into the AA was EASY! My mixture equals 8 cups.

I was getting discouraged every time I had to make it due to the huge
bloody mess. Blew up one blender in the past, got the wand blender
but was limited on containers that were big enough...& etc.

I still haven't tried any other lecithin. I was going to try the sunflower
granules but in the past the liquid was cheaper & I don't have to soak
anything. The liquid can be quite messy however my 32ooz containers
are pour-able which is much better than the jar. BIG problem is that
no matter how well you clean, that oil does NOT go away. Yeah the
wand & sonicator look clean until you pull them back out & see the
yellow oily residue. So I only use these instruments specifically for
the Lipo Vit C.

RC & Julie have you used a glass beaker in your sonicator, did you
like it, & did it make any difference in the outcome?

Cheers
Ektar

Ektar, good to hear from you.

I've never used a glass beaker, I pour directly into the sonicator.

I make double batches. 2 x 2 cups lecithin and 2 x 1 cup Vit c. at once.
I mix the first batch 2 cups lecithin with 1 cup vit c and sonicate.... then do the next batch.
I also use a Wand hand held mixer and love it. However I use an 8 cup measuring cup to blend in.... works really well, no mess at all.

Update on the family - granddaughter brought over what I'm sure was Noruvirus and took the whole family down, including me for a week. Hubby, daughter, 3 grandkids, mom and me, all sick for a week. Wasn't pretty. First time sick in 3 years, so you know it was a nasty virus. But we're all good now.

Are you doing 6 Tab Vit C in each cup? I might spit mine into
2 separate batches next go. I have been doing the 4 cups of
Lecithin, 2 cups Vit C (6 tab) & then 2 cups sodium bicarb (2-3 Tab).

Sorry to hear your family got so sick. Were you still on the Vit C?
Wonder if this thread will pick up soon since we are entering the cold
& flu season.

Cheers
