According to you. You see that / how you just tried to dictate something to me. The Bible no matter how much ridicule someone puts to it ? Is still thee Bible and not hurt by any of it. Does give an explanation where science and evolution doesn't.

It's also very simply far more believable, believe it or not.

That's a matter of knowledge and understanding. I don't see how it gives more of an explanation that science does.

I didn't try to dictate anything.

I could say "Life started on earth when the cosmic pink unicorn sneezed on the planet, micro-organisms rose from it's mystical snot". You don't believe me do you? Well, that's an explanation to something science can't explain yet, and it has just as much to back it up as the bible does. Just because there's an explanation, doesn't mean it's right. Science, however, is based on what we can observe and discover.

We don't have to prove god exists to believe in god. We believe in the Economy and that's not real. We believe in doctors and they just treat the symptoms until we get sick enough that cancer forms. People believe in the government even though it is riddled with deceit. We believe in science even though it does research many times for acquisition of funding which distorts it's evidence. We were better off being conditioned by religion than by our present conditioning by greed. I believe in god and the existence of some beings in this reality that steer some of us. I am not fond of organized religion but go to church once in a while and see many good people there. I can't stand the chemicals people wear though. I can't see how anyone can say that the possibility of a creator and these angel like beings is not real when they have no evidence that they don't exist. The same thing goes the other way. It's our personal choice. I don't push my views of religion on others.

Evolution does not disprove the bible, the Genesis part of the bible was created to try to explain to people how we got here and why we are all a little goofed up in our thinking.

It refutes Creation doesn't it ? By merely disecting and explaining the mechanics and dreaming up an alternative to what is Gods glory. And it makes God out to be a liar.

The horrible thing about it for you is, you paid good money and gave up valuble time to learn something you can't even use unless you become professed at it and can further the lie.
edit on 23-5-2012 by randyvs because: (no reason given)

Past disputes aside.....

I am not an atheist (though I'm not religious either) and the more I learn about the mechanics of how 'God's' glory has been constructed and how life has grown upon what was once just a swirling concentration of dust, the more amazing I consider it to be.

I do not think the theory of evolution takes anything away from the beauty and majesty of nature. If anything I believe it adds more depth to it - far more than the simplistic musings of a bunch of middle-eastern bronze age goat herders

What are you talking about? School? I haven't paid good money to learn about this. It's something I've done in my own time. You can't call it a lie, because you can't prove it wrong. Time learning about it is time well spent, it means I understand how we came to be, where as you never will due to your determination to not believe it.

Think about this, there are many religions, only one including Atheism can be right (I'm not an Atheist by the way). This means that a LOT of people are living their lives believing a made up fairy tale. This can VERY easily be you, so don't be so ignorant and refuse to acknowledge what we know and what we've discovered.

If you are so sure then get the reward this guy is offering...
www.guardian.co.uk...
Yah its the guardian and yes he's not American, but his offer stands and to date has not been claimed by anyone. You could be the first. But you gotta have actual proof not just walk in and say Evolution is a fact. You actually will have to prove it. Then you get the 4 trillion. Good luck...

"Almost 100 million fossils have been unearthed so far. All of these show that plants, animals, humans and insects have never undergone evolution whatsoever and they were all created in the same way by God. We can see this fact in each fossil we come across. There is no fossil proving the contrary. If they can show one, I will reward them 10 trillion Turkish Lira [£4.4 trillion]."

But just go ahead and believe in "ManBearPig" if you want.
No further skin off my back.

There's no absolute proof that's undeniable, there are many factors that come together to prove it happens. It's like a crazy person covered in blood standing next to a corpse with a knife in his hand. Evolutionists are saying "he killed him", you're saying "but I have a book that says he didn't". You refuse to accept the obvious based on your belief system that has NO proof, and is quite likely to be wrong when you consider all the other belief systems. No one can claim that reward, they never will be able to because you can't observe evolution first hand, let alone show it to someone else. There are a lot of views, we have evidence, you don't. Yet you still insist that it's all lies with nothing to back you up.

Also, "if you can show one", how can a fossil possibly show evolution? It's something that happens over many generations, this we can show. We have fossil records of us changing over time, or rather our ancestors.

One would have to wonder if the entire country of Turkey has £4.4 trillion, let alone this one individual. Obviously if you're offering a reward you do not have then no amount of proof will ever be enough.

Besides the very challenge is flawed from the start as there is no one fossil which will ever prove evolution, it is the succession of fossils which is the key. Also most evolutionary research now is concentrated around DNA evidence which he most likely will not accept. Fossils only provide a likely indication of evolution.

In any case if he is offering that much cash I may as well give it a shot. Can someone please forward this list to Adnan Oktar in Turkey for me. I'll give you 1% of my £4.4 trillion prize money......

Actually what I think is being determined more and more is that previously misunderstood or unidentified fossils were really just bigger versions or older versions of the same animal we have today. 50 foot sharks, alligators and dolphins appear just exactly the way they do today. Same with insects. Two foot wing span dragonflies, cock roaches the size of dinner plates, 3 in" fleas all are the same species without change. The oldest are like ants trapped in amber. Plants haven't changed either. Just less and less species. Over 90 % of all species ever recorded are now extinct. Every life form today has a fossil of its ancestor millions of years old.

Except man. Kind of suddenly showed up in the fossil record. The struggle for proof is to fill those gaps in the record "for a fact". Thats what the 4 trillion reward is for... actual fossil proof of this gap filling fossil. Not a million years between bit of bone "a" and bit of bone "b".

And yet, DNA, the genetic code, (it is "encoded" right?), an egg, a seed, and the magic of the womb, continue from some beginning long ago that we can only see because these things exist. Telling me it is a fact they "evolved" is like telling me a 747 can be designed, tested, built and take of down a runway all by itself.

In no way did we suddenly appear. There are many fossils of primitive man.

Read the link provided in the post above yours, you will learn a lot. The fossils we have discovered are by no means just larger versions of what we have now.

Also, here is a more detailed version of the human evolution timeline.

What? That's the core concept of the evolution theory. Animals turning into totally different kinds of animals, and since they (the evolution crowd) don't have solid evidence for it, they put this gigantic leap of faith called "millions and millions of years..." between it. What a load of crap! It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, that lightning zapped a rock and out of primordial sludge came man a billions years later. That takes a tremendous, a HUGE amount of faith to believe that absurdity.

Besides, why are all these evolution guys buying into ideas like planet seeding? Since the whole "we came from a rock idea" is falling apart on them, now they're saying aliens did it. That's gonna go real well. Yep.

That WIKI list is written by the people who claim these are transitional fossils. If it had feathers it was a bird (flightless or not).
If it looked like an ant then guess what. Extinct species.
If a nautilus looking thing looks like a nautilus looking thing...

If bits of an unknown appear to be of an animal that had sharp teeth, was bipedal, had short arms in the front with claws and a long tail, you would probably say it was some two legged pre bird raptor. And I say maybe look again it could be one of these...

Theres you freagin dinosaur.

Read those wikipedia articles. There are going to be gaps of millions of years because that's how long it takes!

"That takes a tremendous, a HUGE amount of faith to believe that absurdity. "

A bit like a mystical, invisible being creating life out of nothing with NO evidence. Not even the slightest amount of evidence. How can you even say that....

The origin of life is a whole different subject, that's not what we're talking about.

That time line is a yoke. Throughout it repeats "It is thought" and "appears". Love the hominid "photographs". Did they pose for those? The gaps are self evident. Expecting to convict a criminal in a court of law, is not going to happen if time is missing. A Jury will acquit. And read the post below yours. Theory not fact.
