Reagan did not post any surpluses. he posted the largest expansion of national
debt in history 189% - Obama would have to create a 32 Trillion dollar debt to
match Reagan's debt model

He’s pretty clearly trying to move
the goalposts on the economy.
Just cannon fodder intended to distract from the reality that they won’t ever work.
So is Obama lying now, or was he lying then?.
His policies aren’t working,
so he’d like us all to believe that they
were never intended to work immediately.

Yup, when I read your posts all I read is revisionist history
you are very good at it

You haven’t been banned after all of those post removals??

The Reagan surplus is revisionist history??

Reagan left the country in GREAT SHAPE! Can you say the same about the current POTUS?

Give it four more years

When this economy it cracking - you gonna taste your own foot and you guys will
have put all your eggs in one basket.

Then it will be Hilary -

If you guys don't stop lying, your gonna really damage the options you have in the
future when the low hanging fruit is gone.

As long as it is a real threat like iran
and not some pansy afhgans and iraqi's.
Need to go in get all their oil if obama does
that he would get my vote. Took the oil that is ours
as repayment in iraq, afghanistan, take out iran
and get the oil that is rightfully ours.

I love this so people we get to adjust for inflation for the next 30 years for what Obama spent in the last 3 and half years.

Yay inflation!

I learned after "no new taxes" to never believe it when a politician comes up with a slogan like that.

I'd love to see real change in this country, sadly, we aren't getting any.

I don't still buy it. But I'd rather vote for a secret illegal alien reptilian than a Mormon any day.

Because you can choose not to be Mormon.

Hey, conservatives are running a progressive East Coast Liberal

I doubt they will notice is the sun turns green

I would check out the electoral map if I were you Obama needs two states out of twelve -
And he is ahead in 10 - well ahead in 7

So

When the economy is Bumping in two years, I will be smiling and Obama will
get all the credit, because you have given him all the blame

Reagan also made history being the grandfather of the current National deficit

nearly 5 trillion of it being interest on Reagan's "turning the country around"

I agree, he did turn the country around

Dude, you don’t know history. Your focus is so narrow.

Unemployment under Reagan went from 7% to 5.2%

Did we spend more??? YES! But our level of indebtedness dropped significantly!

What matters the most? I think it’s how many people have jobs and how well the government manages our money. The quality of life under Reagan was pretty damn good!

Reagan is the man!!!

here are some real numbers

Reagan's approach was a departure from his immediate predecessors. Reagan enacted lower marginal tax rates in conjunction with simplified income tax codes and continued deregulation. During Reagan's presidency the annual deficits averaged 4.2% of GDP[4] after inheriting an annual deficit of 2.7% of GDP in 1980 under president Carter.[4] The rate of growth in federal spending fell from 4% under Jimmy Carter to 2.5% under Ronald Reagan. GDP per working-age adult, which had increased at only a 0.8% annual rate during the Carter administration, increased at a 1.8% rate during the Reagan administration. The increase in productivity growth was even higher: output per hour in the business sector, which had been roughly constant in the Carter years, increased at a 1.4% rate in the Reagan years.

It's not the fact that he broke promises. I'd be willing to wager that even Ron Paul would have to break a few if elected. But it's the quality of promises broken. Obama promised to close Guantanamo Bay, yet it still houses suspected terrorists. He promised to leave Afghanistan by July 2011, yet he's still happily bombing the crap out of its citizens. In effect, he promised to stop killing and illegally detaining people. Promises he blatantly broke.

About Afghanistan:
His campaign promise was to end Iraq. he did
He said to refocus back on Afghanistan. he did
He never said anything about ending the war..although some of us would have liked such a dialog

About Gitmo
2 days after he was sworn in, he signed the order to close it down
the Reps then stalled it, saying it was a security threat, that the prisoners couldn't come here, etc...

Oh it was funny..ah hahaha, block obama's desires to close it.

Nope, this was not Obama's fault..we don't elect dictators...we elected a president and had a congress that blocked him on this...

Damn good reason to vote for a supermajority in 2012 if you ask me....never knew the republicans had such a chicken poop view of the american public...unless of course their blocks were designed specifically so morons on the net could later on say Obama failed on that promise

pick two more since both of those are checked...if you want. its not like you have an actual opinion here..so, crack back open granny's chainmail letter and give me the next two then.

actually, nevermind...moot point..you will vote for romney..congratulations. moving on then.
