Do you mean the same NDAA that Romney said he would have passed? And the same Obamacare that was modeled after Romney, so you know sure as hell Romney would have passed it too?

Come on man.. Romney would be NO DIFFERENT than Obama. None difference. Absolutely no different.

Did I say Romney was the best choice??

He would be better than Obama IMO but am I promoting Romney in this thread??

What's funny is that while you try to use this whole "let's at least let somebody else get a chance at driving the bus" explanation.. the reality is that if Romney gets elected, and it comes to pass that indeed he's ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENT THAN OBAMA.. you'll be back in 2016 making some weak argument about why we should re-elect Romney anyway and let him keep trying for another 4 years.

You're caught up in the right/left. Break through, and please hurry

And YOU have selectively read my posts!

Try harder next time!

Best known Karl Marx quotes “From each according to his abilities
to each according to his needs”.
Any president who supports a
redistribution of wealth is in essence
following the teachings of Marx
Obama has said on many occasions
that we need to “spread the wealth around”.
How he plans to achieve that would determine
he deserves the title “Marxist”.
Have to pick a side at some point.
No one will want you after they have seen you
slimeball to slimeball to each side or the other

That’s only obnoxious to us, pops!

The people supporting Obama WANT that! They want your stuff and mine! They feel they DESERVE it!!

Why? I don’t know, but that’s the reality.

Obama…OWS…same thing; if you ain’t got it then TAKE IT!

Sad losers…all of them IMO.

They're dirtbags, dude! What else can you say? They don't know the definition of peaceful and they don't even know how to clean up after themselves...

Sorry to go off topic here....

But I want to know when did the Democrat party get the monopoly on the word "democratic"?
I hear "democratic senator xxx" (hehe) and "democratic party leader yyy".

When did the Democrat party become the Democratic party?

If you need any more proof that Democrats are willing to bend the truth to suit their own agenda, there it is in their own name. Even Wikipedia redirects "Democrat party" to "Democratic party".

Truth be told, every "Democrat" I've had the pleasure of having respectful, intellectual conversation with admits Republicans are every bit as democratic as Democrats. So why the appropriation and monopoly on the adjective, Democrats?

As a foreigner I'm pretty disappointed in your President Obama (you didn't exclude foreigners from your question right?).

I think 4 years ago the whole world was thrilled to see a guy like Obama win the elections.
An intellectual (at least in contrast to the rambling monkey you had before) who promised peace in the middle east and a more "german" approach to the pressing socio-economic issues of the U.S. and the world.

I lost the rest of confidence in Obama just recently, when he and his socialist buddy Hollande stated that "this is not the time for austerity" and "more spending is the way out of debt" (besides telling Germany to bankroll the €Z even more).
He also gave universal healthcare a bad name (IMO) because the system you got in the U.S. is a bad joke compared to actually working social systems.

We're not a democracy. We're a republic. Nice try though.

Maybe it's time for a Democratic Republican like Romney or Paul to be president.
It couldn't be worse than the Democratic Democrat Obama... could it?

Uhh. Yeah. A representative democracy.

And you didn't answer the question: "So why the appropriation and monopoly on the adjective, Democrats? "
Why is it that Democrats nearly always refer to themselves as "Democratic"?

How did he give Universal Healthcare a bad name when we didn't even get universal healthcare or any form of it.

We got tricked into being forced to participate in a corporatist system. It's not called universal healthcare at all and ANY American who uses that term is immediately demonized.

You got tricked into being forced in a corporatist system by Democratic leadership.

I know I'm not alone in amusement over the irony.

First President to Preside Over a Cut to the Credit Rating of the United States Government
First President to Violate the War Powers Act
First President to Orchestrate the Sale of Murder Weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels
First President to be Held in Contempt of Court for Illegally Obstructing Oil Drilling in the Gulf of Mexico
This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
If we are trying to become
independent of foreign oil,
then why is the Obama administration
allowing the Chinese government to
buy up U.S. oil and gas deposits worth billions of dollars?
He is an enemy of the USA.

Political parties are just different versions of the same beast. Just like religions, which to me are the same, ideologically. They are a front of control, nothing more. The true control is way bigger, ambiguous and ultimately powerful in the manipulation of human spirit, and want nothing more but to maintain us in a profile they have designed and rigorously maintain.

Sadly, but a massive credit to him, George Carlin, a comedian, but really a human predicament visionary... spelled it all out over his career as eloquently as possible, especially in his stand-up routine called "Life is worth Losing". Extremely relevant today, it is required viewing. Although very caustic to some, the wisdom and reality in that one performance, which requires no "read between the lines" mentality, is as solid as the ground we stand on.

That a comedian would have such a profound understanding of what is going on in this country, and being the one to say it the way it is, is truly amazing.

I'm a firm believer in "Yes, we can!" as a mantra. However, Obama has proven he couldn't.

So, in the spirit of "Change", it's again time for change. We need to prove to the government we'll keep trying someone new until things do change: changes the way we want; changes they way we need. And this shouldn't stop with the president but continue on all through government, from the top through the bottom, federal, state and locally.

But as long as people only vote for only the media chosen candidates there will never be real change.

Romney and Obama aren't that different, things won't change under Romney either.

I would rather have 4 more years of Obama breaking promises, than 4 years of the right keeping their promises.

Hope OBama doesn't get re-elected because it will be forward with all that same failed leadership and putting the last nail of our coffins.

What are you even talking about?!?!

Leadership?!?!

What leadership?!?

Ooooooooh, you mean leadership as in, "hey America, watch me help lead us into the toilet."

I see now, my mistake.

Of course I wasn't excluding foreigners, though the topic is fairly pointed.

I understand the enthusiasm for Obama!

I agree…but what can you expect from socialists?? They want to spend your money (and mine)…supposedly this spending is for YOU and ME but its funny that WE never seem to benefit.

I pointed out this ‘common bond’ between these socialists in THIS THREAD.

All I know is that I'm not voting Republican this time again. I voted Republican many times in the past and saw what they did to this countries Economy. Sure they cut government programs and lowered taxes but then increased spending to private contractors which was unfunded. The Government as a whole hid their spending with krafty paperwork. Creating paperwork to hide things has been used for a long time.

I saw good in Englers program in Michigan but he took it too far creating a state that had no reserve money. Now our roads are falling apart because they were neglected for years. Engler wound up being the worst Governor our state had. Granholm wasn't much better though, selling out the citizens to the Big banks by passing laws that made high interest rate unsecured credit able to go after peoples homes. What were the banks getting high rates on credit cards for, I thought it was because of risk. The Banks need to refund all interest in excess of eight percent to the cardholders since the law was passed or that law needs to be repealed because it is illegal.
