The next great Pacific tsunami may well come from Alaska according to new scientific research. If this will be anything like the great swells of seawater that region has kicked up in the past, it could cause death and destruction as far away as Hawaii and California!
Recent analysis of Alaska’s potential to generate a future tsunami which is highlighted in the May 8 issue of Eos, have turned up a worrisome similarity between the source of the magnitude 9.0 earthquake that generated the Japan tsunami and a particular segment of a major quake-prone fault running along the seafloor just south of Alaska’s Aleutian islands.

Interesting. And just one more thing to put on the list of ''Things we can do nothing about, but should be aware of''
Do locked portions of subduction zones always slip? Or do they sometimes have their pressure relieved further up or down the fault, with smaller earthquakes.
If this did go, it would be huuuuge.
(Side note: I've noticed a lot of these Earth Change News videos being posted on ATS.
The guy talking does seem to have done his research which is awesome, but the way he talks winds me up.

I knew it! I knew as soon as I hit 'reply' that it was your video. Awkwaaaard..
In all seriousness though, there's nothing wrong with the way you talk!
I used to live in the Medway towns, and your accent sounds similar. The accent isn't the problem, it's the memories of the Medway towns.. anything that reminds me of Gillingham/Chatham winds me up. D=
Please don;t take it as a serious criticism. Your vids are, as I said, well-researched, and informative!

It isn't your own words.
It's word for word from the article I linked.

Every news story has a source, every piece of information has to come from somewhere.
I'd rather he gets his information, then shares it with us via these videos, than never know.
It wasn't word-for-word, and this is a thousands times more informed, well presented, and accessible than some of the ridiculous info-vids being posted about rogue planets and Mayan prophecies.
And I thank Chris for bringing it to my attention, because I wouldn't have just chanced upon news discovery dot com.
Would you Phage?
