Since september 11, all terrorist activity is related to FBI sting operations. This is probably it.

This entire story holds about as much weight as a frog's fart. It just doesn't make sense. With that being said, if they are not up to no good, they got nothing to worry about. It should atleast be looked into. ~$heopleNation

Although the thread has been derailed as always, I wanted to point out that the story doesn't factor in the Arabic culture... example, being arabic, you wouldn't be caught dead using any Israeli Uzi... I'm guessing they're curious.

Using an American made Uzi is similar but still not an Israeli Uzi...

My 2 cents.

It's funny you should mention that. The book I'd referenced here recently (Inside the Jihad: My Life with Al Qaeda) by Omar Nasiri had mentioned this specific thing, among other surprises I hadn't expected. In the training camps and Pakistan before being taken into Afghan at all, he'd seen and noted the same thing in the book. Not that Uzi's were avoided...no. How odd and offensive he'd personally found it that Israeli made Uzi's were being used to train and master, with a variety of other weapons.

In reality, I guess it makes sense... If your whole life is moving toward a fight with people who largely favor that specific weapon, then knowing how to capture and use the 'enemies' weapons makes sense. It is odd though...as he'd described a situation of having a Swiss army pocket knife being taken from him and some real moments of concern for himself as it was noted that he was carrying a knife with the Christian Cross featured prominently. I'd never thought of a Swiss army knife that way, before reading that book. It makes the hypocrisy of using Uzi's all the more blatant though.

This kind of theory is exactly what is wrong with most of the US citizens.

Of course Arabs are planning another attack on your soil. OF COURSE!

Yet your country has been at the forefront of all major wars in our current history, and has created false and misinformed theories allowing the rest of the nations to allow the US to invade other countries.

Your own countries banking system and housing system screwed millions of people out of homes.

The US kidnapped hundreds of innocent people and fed them all '___' and brought them to my country (Canada) to do studies on people dosed on '___', without consent.

The USA, states that it does not condone torture,yet has conducted torturous events on thousands upon thousands of people.

Mark Zuckerberg just lost Facebook and he doesn't even realize it yet. STUPIDEST thing he could have done was to put his country up on a speculative fraudulent market system. The US government probably forced him to do it.

The USA condones the purchase and sale of Colton from Africa, thus condoning the harsh reality and violent genocides that go on there every day.

Yet 3 Arabs go to a shooting range and they are terrorists. Yeah right!

You raise a decent point there and despite myself, I just have to add another note on this to that thought. If I were out on one of the local ranges here and a few 100% homegrown white boys strolled up, looking a little out of place and sorts to be where they were....and then started asking about the more offense minded 'rambo' type guns to rent and play with, I'd be more than a little concerned myself. In fact, I can honestly say I've cut a couple days of shooting short due to Bubba and his idiot buddies showing up and becoming a menace to all around them.

The fact we happen to have not 1 but 3 major world events for meetings or summits occurring over the course of the next couple weeks in the United States is MORE than enough for me to take the next step and call authorities if I honestly had a bad gut feeling...about the above mentioned white boys. It's almost ALL white where I'm at, for whatever reason..so the example really fits well.

No they don't.
AK's are of crappy build and overheat and jam way to easy!
UZI's are better built and don't have the inherent issues and are more accurate after they are "heated up" as the AK's overheat and jam lol!

Um.. no. AKs do not "jam a lot." In fact, they rarely jam, especially in the field, where it matters. They are not nearly as accurate as say, the M16 imo, but they are incredibly reliable. I could get a flipping grain of sand in the M16 and the stupid thing wouldn't fire. We always preferred the AK when we could get our hands on it. And I never had issues with overheating. Not sure what cruddy AK you were using, but it's a great if somewhat inaccurate weapon.

OH NO, not brown people wanting to try and shoot guns. Give me a break. RED FLAGS? Boy you need to stop watching TV.

I got a hold of an AK in Iraq once that was all rusted and dirty and it still fired, and it was a sh!ty Egyptian model.
Also had a awesome Russian model cold war relic, I was tempted to smuggle this one back but decided it wasn't worth the 10 years in prison. I have never had an AK jam on me once but my AR would jam occasionally. I am totally sold on piston driven weapons and I currently own a suppressed bushmaster ACR, accurate as hell . The Uzi is a fine weapon and I have shot full auto one's as well. Never tested it personally in the field though.It would seem that these guys would have heard of an AK before the UZI but with out knowing their background who knows?
Maybe they were Israeli born?
