I am not hearing enough Hawks being loud and proud out there.....kick the volume up a few notches on the bench and on the ice show urgency and passion.....own the attitude and the push.Loud mad voices fellas, telegraph your intentions.

Hawks remember to TAKE 25% of those o-zone possesions RIGHT TO THE BUCKET LOOKING FOR GREASY ONES.....you arent allotting the net front enough heat.Drive a few right into him and bump him few times....he dove so now he will not get an easy call.....just edge him once in a while.25%.TO THE BUCKET INTO HIS FEET.Low post directed rebound with upspeed backdoor finish ...it is all you are missing....WHY??? Get on it...are you trying to shoot yourself in the feet?

Why no wraparounds or banks in off him from behind? If you want to win you do it the ugly or the cute way....ypu just get it done....feather a few into his back and legs and let him drag it in for you when he turns to face the playaction. To many periphery shots from the blueline.

The gameplan coming in was optimal....you followed it partially......dangerous fellas....if you do not correct it now things will get dicey...simply get with the program remember the 1st Cup you won using the NHS this is no time to suffer a growing pain.....the puck has to come at them from the sides because of Bishops size...and the shots can come from any distance or place....look for skip-ins-deflections-5-hole...anything which catches him transitioning from side to side and shovels the puck into his feet....wraparounds work well for the 3rd time. You know like throw in a wraparound once in a while, really.Bang them up and over him dont wrap and run wrap and RAP.

Give and goes DO WORK SOMETIMES and are a nice way to finish at the net....not shoot from the outside.

You Hawks MUST drive their net harder from the blueline in because they are relaxing there knowing you will not challenge them hed-on....surprise them and try to go through them from time to time.

Saad has to get to the net.....it is where he does his best work...tell him to go for it,right to the bucket with ot without the puck.

To many periphery shots Hawks you arent even taking the minimum 25% of your o-zone possesions to the bucket the hard way......why not?Yes you are now attacking from the sides which is right ..E/W but you still need to mix it up and attack right to the net from the sides as well and on that note you want to be BELOW THE 1/2 WALL when you shoot on him from the sides ideally....between there and the red-line.You want pin-balling shots from the sides down by his feet and everyones legs....GREASY.

Wraparound at least once this game....jeepers.

Quenville.....Hawks ..they just did to you what you were already suppossed to be doing to them....exactly...shamefull Hawks simply shamefull because you HAVE NOT EXECUTED THE LOW POST DIRECTED REBOUND BACKDOOR PLAY LIKE YOU WERE TOLD TO.

You only 1/2 listened to the NHS....jeepers.

Why?

All you had to do was listen.....i told you the Rangers schooled them on the playaction.....now you look stupid.....get on it fellas....you better find another gear.....you better get that same play working right now and feed it right back to them before they do it to you....Jon is listening now and actioning....you should have stayed on task fellas.

Hossa should have been told to drive everything to the net instead of dumping it hedman was spun around and vulnerable.

The game is cooking now......KISS fellas....the most sucessfull high-speed playaction is the give-and-go.....the Lightening are looking low post directed rebound now so look long breakout on them....you need to get immediate stick pressure on the puck carrier ASAP like at the blueline because they will use extended possesions and shoot from anywhere...so get the sticks out there and look to turn it back on them when they muff that quick first shot....now you MUST DENY THEM THE EXTENDED POSSESIONS AND QUICK SHOTS and look to strike back with the stretch pass or the break-back give-and-goes.

When they use the directed rebound you need to seperate them from the puck ASAP in your zone.Less body focus and more puck focus....not letting them release those random shots from outside of traditional lanes means being doggedly after the puck at all times husteling to it and extending your sticks to seperate them from the shot which catalyses the playaction.

Hawks are to LIGHT ON THE PUCK they are NOT LOOKING FOCUSED......DRIVE 50% of your o-zone possesions to the net fellas.....get on it now.Stay heavy on the pucks and use the give and goes..........simple simon...50% to the give-and-go taken to the net and 505 to the olde fashioned drive right to the bucket the hard way crashing the net.You are turning the puck over to much....to cute.....get heavy on the pucks......drive them to the net the hard way....pump the legs hard .Dont give up pucks so easy.......go to the net boys.

Ok Hawks look how good things go when you listen......that disconnect nearly ended you tonight....at least you are working him like I said now and it looks great you waited till the last minutes but look how effective it was WOW.Now get on the low-post directed rebound...keep working the net drives and give-and-goes from where you are now on the sides East-West....but toss in the low poster now and then.Rip a few at his head to,dont be afraid to guppy-cup looping pucks up in the air in front of him looking for bank-shots in off the scrums in front.....he is huge you need to do what you need to do.Make the pucks bobble on him and force him to get jumpy with going down or not....he is confident so shake him up by lofting pucks lightly up in front of him and in on him from the sides......he is waiting for the sharp shots so mix it up and get creative.

Just execute your o-zone entries consistantly then let the offense create itself from the give-and-goes and from the net drives....remember you will never draw penalties taking peripheral shots but you will lugging it right to the net...you have to GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE to get a PP in a game like this so get "low" like I said to the ice...and drive it to the net...protect it and lug it right to the bucket and make them crash you into Bishop force them to do it by challenging them clearly and repeatedly.

Now we are at 30% Low post directed rebound backdoor finish[Saad]..30% net drives...40% give-and-goes ending up the middle at the net.

One might think it prudent for the Hawks to come out with a 50/50 playaction split between the low post backdoor play and those nice looking East-West shots we were seeing from just below the 1/2 walls into all those legs with Bishop on his knees with his 5-hole gaping.

Just saying these two playactions can be set up almost the same way with an o-zone entry supported with an extended possesion and a catalysing shot from virtually anywhere...this lets you stretch their structure with the extended possesion in their zone you only need seek ANY open ice uncovered to move them to their personal perimeter and they will break off you to maintain structure......these guys stick with it bit longer but just a few feet.because you are not looking for SPECIFIC STRUCTURE TO INITIALISE YOUR OFFENSE you dont need traditional shooting lanes they will be covering.

Hawks I would suggest coming out explosively with stick extended when they are 2 feet from the blueline with the pucks....and hitting them center-chest and body mass picking the d-man out of the playaction so your support can footrace everyone up-ice.They are to cute on your blueline with those quick-release shots from the outside so AGGRESSIVELY remove their blueline supports by EXPLOSIVE CENTER BODY MASS HITS DRIVING THEM BACK AND DRIVNING YOUR LEGS FORWARD SO THEY CANNOT TURN AROUND TO RECOVER TO DEFEND.Take the blueline away from them and look to pick their d-men especially Hedman by CENTER BODY NASS HITS DRIVING HIM BACKWARDS AND KEEPING HIS BODY TIGHT TO YOU.The middle support must be LOOKING to pick off loose pucks when you challenge the blueline like this because if it is done right it legally picks a d-man and does not let him turn and recover into the playaction,it opens up the entire ice.You have to stop their quick-release shots catalysing the playactions anyways so CHARGE THEM CENTER BODY MASS DRIVING YOUR LEGS RELENTLESSLY.

Well done fellas....that is called a GREASY ONE...this is how Playoff games are won.Nice job of DRIVING IT TO THE NET.Rinse and repeat please. You will need more fellas.Do not let them enter your zone with possesion,,,,hit them on the blueline boys...they are trying to run an upspeed play on you to bust a guy through with upspeed...forecheck them sooner in the n-zone and line up num, bers on your blueline....move your line up into the n-zone and congest them there to stop the upspedd set-ups and to deny them control on your blueline.

Hawks keep your sticks on the ice but youMUST BECOME MORE PUCK FOCUSED AND SEPERATE THEM FROM THE PUCKS AS SOON AS YOU CAN AND I MEAN IMMEDIATLY DO OT LET THEM MOVE WITH THE PUCKS BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS THE GREENLIGHT.

This is now an immediate puck removal/seperation game and a blueline denial game.Sticks down and extended legs pumping and CENTER BODY MASS HITS DRIVING THEM BACK NOT LETTING THEIR D-MEN TURN TO RECOVER WHEN YOU CAN EXPLOIT THEM ON YOUR BLUELINE.

Hawks you GOTTA STAY ON YOUR FEET BOYS...in your zone you are ALL COLLAPSING AND DROPPING TO BLOCK SHOTS it is silly....get up nd on them challenge them in your zone get into the game NOW talk it up LOUDER ON THE BENCH NOW!!!

Hawks you want to deny them the peripheral possesions in your zone...you need to seperate them from the pucks ASAP...urgently....do not give them the periphery because they are looking for directed rebounds and this means they can shoot from anywhere....you must get your sticks extended and CHARGE YOUR BLUELINE....also get on them in the n-zone to stop the late coming upspeed man....an aggressive deeper forecheck would be nice to see to step them back and deny them easy zone transitions which they are using to build up steam..

If you are charging your blueline to push them out and pick out d-man keep your stick fully extended as you come at him....and look to RUN HIM OVER IF YOU CAN AND GO THROUGH HIM....because you have momentum and open ice if you take him out.But you must own your blueline now and not give them the periphery.....seperte them from the puck ASAP.They are greenlit...do NOT LET THEM GET SHOTS OFF.
