Bolts....Jon you need to consistantly engage above or at your blueline....no free-flying into the zone ever....it is how they are catalysing their offense......remove their o-zone entry and you remove the directed rebounds which is their Primary influence and also the late man coming in which they are using as their secondary influence.

You also need a faster more penetrating forecheck which is layered with one man deep and one half-zone on the half-wall and one man hovering just inside the neutral zone or coming in late thru it with upspeed.

LAYER THE FORECHECK.

Jon the curling out after entering the o-zone needs to stop.....try to take 1/3 of your o-zone possesions right to the net all the way in on an extended possesion....a one man long rush going anywhere it takes to get it to the net and shoot it.

This game will need dirty goals so accept this and begin now to institute a 3 pronged offensive focus.....1/3 of your o-zone entrys become dirty extended drives to the net from the puckman entering the zone with everyone conservatively hanging back and letting him roam without everyone crashing in to support him.....1/3 of possesions to the 1/2 wall curls and cross-ice passes or blueline dumps you like ......and 1/3 of them to blueline shots from both top blueline corners 50% of the time to use that angle...no time to explain fully just use 50% of your blueline slappers allotted from the very corners on the boards with net coverage and wraparounds.

Mix up your shots on net......work all 4 corners of the net and spread their tender out more.

Remember that one-timers dont have to be slappers....they can be more creative and you need to get your shots off much quicker...use scoop shots or re-directs but stop holding onto the puck for so long before shooting you need to implement more FLOW BABY and you need to speed up the game for their tender.....KISS and dont forget how effective the basic give and go can be if it is used properly at the right speeds for the right times.....not always full-speed with the give and gos in terms of skating BUT higher speed in terms of shot releases because the 2 on 1s will be finished with these types of touch shots.

If you dont engage them above or at your blueline they will eat you alive.......Jon you are lucky its not the Hawks using this set of NHS tactics on you ....the Rangers are BRAND SPANKING NEW at this but it is so effective you need to listen closely and not hessitate.

You need to stop taking it to the half-wall all the time to initiate your offense....and it will work if you wait a bit longer to initiate it...let the puck carrier roam a bit to let your guys set up....when you use the directed rebounds you can take the actual shots from anywhere because it is the ANGLES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

To the Stanley Cup Media panel.........you fellas need to get your priorities straight....especially Kelly who has known about the NHS for a long time and was originally a non-believer.Kypper you also know very well what the NHS is.In fact ALL of you are intimately aware of the NHS to some degree or another.

The NHS should have been openly discussed several years and 3 Stanley Cups ago.......this is a no brainer.

Keep the quick-fire blueline shots coming as well with another 1/3 of your o-zone possesions and tonight fellas work both sides of the net with the deflections......HARD WRISTERS FROM THE D-MEN EARLY ABOUT 11/2 feet off the ice backdoor sides blitzkreig style with the man deflecting speeding right in and getting set for the quick-shot blueline setup.Accurate HARD wristers for this playaction.Their Goalie has been vulnerable his entire career to this focus....chicken-wing him on both sides aiming for his elbow-bones.

Do NOT forget to implement the give and gos ending right on net because you need to stay in the gritty geasy areas 1/3 of the time....manage this game properly fellas and you will get the results you want.

Nice work....keep those sticks down and this means those legs must be moving every second of the shift consistantly with no costing.....determined focused pathfinding like Saad just executed makes them chase you down and take more high level risks trying to stop you.

I would like to see Toews using his snap-shot more....it is awfully quick off his stick....and he is accurate from the perimeter.....lets see Johnny looking to lay a few shots BACK AGAINST THE GAIN OF THE PLAYACTION FROM THE PERIMETER.Just ask him to use his skating to take it East-West and spread them out.

If the Ducks can get flow going out of their zone they WILL DOMINATE THRU THE N-ZONE........this game is getting more basic by the minute and BOTH TEAMS PERSONALITYS are beginning to come to the surface.....the 2nd period will be olde school Hockey....Duck Style Hockey.

Right now the Hawks need to be focused on a 4 goal lead and nothing less.....blinders on just a drive for 4+ goals.

We will see some MASSIVE HITS NOW.....the Hawks bench MUST TALK IT UP AND STAY ALERT PROTECTING EACH OTHER VOCALLY watching each others 6s.

Keep the pucks moving North-South and the odds of getting be-headed are extremely reduced now that the going is getting tough......so get on it fellas and work those 3 simple focuses we discussed earlier.

You DO NOT want to be competing for pucks in your zone with them now....so naturally you must RE-ENGAGE the solid Fore-check you began the game with....pressure them IMMEDIATLY in their zone with a spear-tip high-speed interdiction supported by a half-wall-middle coverage which is supported by a high n-zone man eithe hovering or looking to enter the playaction UP-SPEED if there is a tunover for him to pounce on coming out of the half-wall pinch . Be PUCK FOCUSED WITH THE SPEAR-TIP man coming in first at extreme speed because their reaction to your forecheck will be to lug it out instead of using the 1/2 wall pressure outlet....so be ON THOSE PUCKS LOOKING TO SEPERATE THEM FROM THE BIG BODIES SO YOU CAN TRANSITION IMMEDIATLY TO OFFENSE IN THEIRR ZONE where you have LAYERED SUPPORT ALREADY IN PLACE.

The 1/2 wall fore-checker needs to be body position focused to outsmart their support trying to work off of the 1/2 wall....the 3rd Fore-checker needs to be looking to jump into holes and enter the playactions at all times if a turnover is generated early and he MUST BE FOCUSED ON TRUCKING IT RIGHT TO THE NET AND SCORING.....this 3rd man activates the IMMEDIATE OFFENSIVE TRANSITION IN THEIR ZONE WHEN YOU GENERATE TURNOVERS....he is critical so his decision making must be elite and he must be able to drive it right to the bucket and score consistantly.

Hawks....this is the moment you need to remember you had planned for....this is crunch time....if you do not follow this data NOW....you risk losing momentum and continuity of gameplan.

Tell the ENTIRE BENCH to look out for the Ducks to go on EXTENDED DRIVES TO THE NET AT ANY TIME....so they need to remember to be prepared for EXTENDED PURSUITS.....this is critical because when those big bodies get green-lit to free-whell you need to STAY ON THEM and drive your legs because they have huge strides....communicate out there and dont be afraid to CHASE DOWN THE PUCK CARRIER instead of handing him off to the structure or a teammate.....the Coaches will see when they begin to go for it like this and will need to TALK IT UP ON THE BENCH.

DO NOT LET THIS GOAL DUMP YOUR ADRENALINE FELLAS.....Coaches get VOCAL NOW AND DEMAND MORE.....no fall-back now....you need a 4 goal lead minimum.....stay focused.

Everyone keep urgent.

Coaches ask for more vocals on the ice...more communication yelling LOUDLY breaking their spirits.....use everything now to your advantage....get LOUD AND FIRM AND COMMANDING VOCALLY....put them to SLEEP.

You need to stay in the dirty greasy areas 1/3 of the time...no more...no less...it is a high risk area for penalties now but you MUST STILL GO THERE 1/3 of the time....a safe %.

Remember to keep actively managing the Tactical Shooting Program ,their Goalie is worried about his wings now....so look for the LOW CORNERS POST-IN....from square on mid-zone catch him to far back in his net now that he is wideside-worried....on 25% of your shots .

Hawks if you punch 2 more quick ones in they will PULL their tender for you....make it a micro-mission to force the yank.Go low posts as stated and he will look so shaky he will be yanked.

This is NO TIME FOR YAPPING....CHAMPIONS DONT HAVE GARBAGE TO SPEW...THEY ARE KEEPING THEIR EYES ON THE PRIZE.


The Ducks are desperate now.....so keep the pedal down and COACHES TELL THE MEN TO SHUT UP NOW.

This is about self-policing as a group to support the win now........do NOT REACT BECAUSE YOU HAVE LOTS OF WORK TO DO STILL FELLAS.
