Very well Coached and Played Game....sticking to the Gameplan through likely the worst Officiating I have ever seen....well done...now Shelf the 2 Points and move on.

Connor and Leon worked their majic....well done....Jesse had very strong game and again showed us his NHL caliber shot ...RNH was assertive all night long.....Larsson and Archie had solid nights....Nurse kept his cool which was exceptional and what a true #1 Defenseman does in that situation.

The Roster all stuck to the Gameplan together....very impressive....that shows a high level of respect for each other...you work harder to stand up for the work your Buddies do....the Room is getting tighter now maturing together.

See Smitty....I told you it wasnt YOU....tonight adjustments were made to support you....correct ones.

Yamamoto is a very important part of the Oilers even entering the Playoffs....EveryMan is important.....success is a byproduct of Teamwork and that impact....rest him if he needs it.....use the Taxi-Squad its there for a reason.....we need our Yammos and Kahuns and Archies and Krustys HEALTHY....they are very important players who do very important jobs....they fly-under the radar many nights...but they are PILLARS of Team-Play.

When Leon (Silently cut the Flames Hamstrings with 3 Apples) and Connor(Turned the Big Light on to its HIGHEST SETTING ) are both dialed in as tight as they were last night good things will always happen.... both men have taken their games to another level.....and Nuge....well he is finally playing with the Elite linemates he is built to play with.... he is happier than he has ever been.....when Nurse and Larrson are both dialed in like the 2 of them were ....same thing...good things happen.

Chaisson and Neal are quite unstoppable together....a really big Load to handle with exceptional skill around the net....lots of Veteran smarts.

I slept in...had a Pre-game Nap that extended itself. But it only took 5 minutes to see the problems.

Dave..... they have just moved their N-Zone trap up high ..... and its hurrying you up....they have moved their skirmish zone up to your blueline...... to hem you in....you have one Period to sort it out your way....then I will submit directives.....for now just know what the big Picture looks like....they are using a hybrid process with 2 guys going man on man and the rest playing Zone-type hockey....so 2 guys are always going on extended puck pursuits with support...they are chasing the pucks longer than usual and they have moved their N-Zone trap up high on you so when they d break pucks loose or hurry you up they have numbers straddeling your blueline...... they are asking you for foot-races....end to ed....but the breakout has to begin at you on blueline....so feed Connor pucks in his on zone and cut him loose....and let the men know if they get ANY possesions @ o near their wn Blueline to NO DUS IT OFF AND WASTE TIME BUT INSTEAD TAKE IT UPICE IMMEDIATLY....your first recovery possesion in your own Zone needs to be thrust right bacK @ them IN FOOT IN FOOTRaCES.

In short Dave....if you can gain possesion near your own Blueline then Jailbreak it FIRST OPTION....if you have to gain possesion deep in your own zone then....ONe quick short PASS WITH THE RECIEVER OF THAT 1ST PASS...JAILBREAKING IT IMMEDIATLY.... THEY ARE CHEATING THEIR D-MEN UP WAY TO HIGH IN THEIR OWN ZONE ....REVERSE COLLAPSE..... iF YOU CAN BUST THROUGH THE N-zONE HOLDING POSSESION NOT PASSING ---- ITS FREE-WHEELING FROM THERE ON IN because those 2 d-men are both cheating together to build a Cluster up on their own Blueline.....IF YOU CAN HIT THAT BLULINE OF THEIRS WITH ANY SPEED @ ALL COMING OUT OF THE n-ZONE YOU WILL BE CATCHING THOSE2 D-MEN UP WAYYYY TO HIGH.....ANd HAVING TO TURN TO COVER YOU.

You arent getting enough 2nd opportunities from recovered pucks in the o-zone....you are trying to hard to work it in closer...to cute....soooo....dump and chase the olde fashioned ways and start blasting it in on net from their blueline loooking deflections like they are more like 50/50 point shots vs X-tra passes...... you need more recovery opportunities.

Work Quinn hard on their boards deep....he buckles if you lean on him.


PS...Dave...by LONG DUMP-INS....I mean dump it from as deep in your own end as you can as fast as you can...no dust-offs....no curling and delaying in your own zone....ok ?.....there is a reason for this Dave so just do it.

In the o-zone.. you are hanging on to long looking to hard.....fact is you do best when you are recovering pucks in the o-zone and convertig using creativity and skill.....but...right now you are hanging on to pucks to long once you enter their zone.....then you burn up time trying to set up...then you miss anyways and have as a result GIVEN THEM ALSO TIME to get set up and they clear more pucks out......you want those pucks to STAY IN THEIR ZONE AND YOU WANT BATTLES HAPPENING......sooooo......its ok to have zone-busters like Connor and Leon ect ect but once they bust in they need to slow it down a tad and then take it in for a deke .... not always off the raw rush....yes use the raw rush to enter the zone....but then you have 2 otions...a FAST SHOT ON NET NO ATTER WHAT TO SET UP REBOUNDS AND PUCK BATTLES...OR.....BUST INTO THE ZONE HOWEVER YOU WANT BUT THEN CHANGE IT UP SPEED WISE AND GO FOR THE DEKE....THEN DIG LIKE MADMEN AND FIND SOME GREASY GOALS.

Shooting....have 2 guys target the 5-hole from mid-zone he likes to stay on his feet and is leaky there.....not just jam-ins from net front t the 5-hole...LIKE i SAID.....25-30 FOOTER CUTE LITTLE SHOTS FROM MID-ZONE.

Also never forget the Chicken-winger....you are all going top corners bar-down and its a mistake....shoot for his ELBOWS on both sides....not top cheeze...just no lookers from anywhere as long as you shoot for his ELBOW-BONE. ...he CANNOT STOP THE ELBOW-BONE SHOTS.....your angles are all wrong......pass it on because you are getting lots of good shots and just need to re-focus......shoot Elbow-Bone....from everywhere.....best spot of all is dead middle of the zone straight on hm when he is on his feet from mid-zone to the outside.


I see a big hole....set Yamamoto up on the 1/2 wall for ONE_TIMERS....and dont give up on it.....hes deadly from there and they are leaving the 1/2 wall undefended...I say he can snag 2 before they adjust.....just have him loose coverage then fade to the 1/2 wall and fire ASAP.....dont ask questions just do it.


Dave....in your zone when you defend you have to challenge more and pressure more and look to push pucks out on JAILBREAKS.....close faster and look to run it back behind them....hurry them up on the blueline in your zone.....and do it for a reason....look to JAILBREAK.

Finish those give and goes any way you want in close with a re-direct or from outside with a One-timer...but goddam use the Give-and-Go until you get back on track....and Conor neds to let his Teammates LEAD HIM WIH PUCKS....he has to not have it so early......get his linemates to dish him ice saucers in behind their Defense that he can chase down .... Connor needs to use his speed to CHASE DOWN PUCKS BEFORE THE DEFENSEMEN CAN GET TO THEM tonight ...not....try to take it 200 feet through everyone.

You need to bring the Special Teams into the Game Dave....the Give-and-Go will do this if you finish 1/2 OF THEM IN CLOSE AT THE NET WITH RE-DIRECTS/tIP-INS............THOSE WILL DRAW PENALTIES OR YOU WILL SCORE.....and the other Give-and-Goes can be Periphery One-timers...... so in sort....go to the 3/4 speed give-and-go and begin leading Connor with Headman SAUCERS so he can burn them a few times quickly....I am telling you he will score 3 goals tonight if you just let Nuge and Jesse flip him pucks....explain it to them...I mean Jesse is as good a passer as Nuge or anyone except Leon.....so make it so.....and tell Connor to STOP ON HIS REBOUNDS and no fly-by....when he gets in so fast his momenum gives him a big edge at getting his own rebound if he stops on it....make it so.

Dave...Toronto has a really weak Defense as in physiclly weak...they work best at high speeds using finesse and stickwork .....and they like to cheat a lot....soooo..... i just do not see them stopping solid 3/4 speed well executed Give-and-Goes with a big guy like Jesse ploughing in to finish playactions off.....with Jesses wingspan the Backdoor is wayyyyyy bigger than it is for other Players......he can hit that backdoor shot from the OUTSIDE with consistancy....seriously....make their Defense come to you at slower speeds so they have to use their bodies and work together more positionally...deny them the high speed stickwork they like to use..come in slower and with more surety and draw them to you all you are doing is looking for simple give-and-goes....just REMEMBER IF THE SHOT IS THERE TO ALWAYS TAKE IT FIRST OVER THE GIVE-AND-GO.....but even have the 2nd and 3rd line use the simple give-and-go....however when Kahrias line is cycling in the o-zone keeping it simple I do not see Torontos defense handeling their size.

Just start flipping pucks out of your own Zone UP IN THE AIR DEAD CENTER ICE....just airball everyting softly up and over their Defense who like to cheat and collapse in close to much.....remove this by just pressuring wayyyy harder on your blueline then having everyone else stop dustin off and protecting pucks and tell them ALL TO LOB SAUCERS UP HIGH OVER THEIR DEFENSE TO THE DEAD MIDDLE LINE OF THE ICE......your guys pressuring them high on your Blueline will recover a lo of those lob passes if they are just softly lofted ASAP without wasting nay time....just no-look lob passes up high dropping them in the dead middle of the ice.....force their d-men to turn....force them into footraces.......and when you do exit your Zone with solid Possesion make it 3/4 sped well executed Give-and-Goes...more important to get a clean shot off from the circles down than to pick a spot.....so focus on just finishing the playaction and shoot from everywhere from the circles down dont worry about the where and waste time just worry about getting a clean shot off no-lookers.

You just start properly executing the Give-and-Goes and at 3/4 speeds o draw them to you and to collapse them into their own net to contract their Cluster.....then they will HAVE TO TAKE PENALTIES.

Koskinnen is ok....keep him in...work through this.......no reason to make Knee-Jerk pulls...it will not change momentum ... its not a momentum issue...its a bit of bad luck and a failure to challenge them immediatly @ or above the blueline seeking immediate Plyer/puck sereration..if you let them pass the puck around the outside they will set up their offense that way....you know what to do now......so get to work....earn some PPs.....or score some Backdoor empty netters if they refuse to come at you and take Penalties....you dont need to hurry now....just execute the Backdoor plays out of simple Give-and-Goes...work their arses East-West with those Give-and-Goes and kick that Backdoor of his WIDE-OPEN.
