I've only had one previous thread before this, I'm a lurker, with an account. Recently I was invited to an event by a muslim colleague of mine - he said it would be good for non muslims (infidels) to attend as it shows the mellow side of islam. What I saw was disturbing to say the least.

This even was a concert consisting of 5-6 "muslim rappers" and I kid you not, 75% of the songs were anti American at their core. I was able to pull up some of these guys videos for examples but this is some crazy stuff. How much longer are gonna allow this obvious radicalism to grow in our communities?

We've all heard of this happening in the UK, with rappers like Lowkey and others, but for the hidden radicalism to be in the process of spreading in America is scary, among other things. We have to take our country and ideals back.

We have to stand up to muslims insulting our president in their music and spreading propaganda about the US to their jihadist comrades.

in my opinion, these among others incite radicalism and should be banned and dealt with accordingly. this ia AMERICA in 2012. we have to take our country BACK

From what I can understand the guy in the second video makes some sense.

I might be misunderstanding parts though

You don't give money to the bums
On the corner with a sign, bleeding from their gums
Talking much, you don't support a crackhead
What you think happens to the money from yo' taxes

# the governments an addict
With a billion dollar a week kill brown people habit
And even if you ain't on the front line
When the master yell crunch time you right back at it

You ain't look at how you hustling backwards
And the end of the year add up what they subtracted
3 outta twelve months your salary
Paid for that madness, man that's sadness

What's left get a big ass plasma
To see where they made Dan Rather point the damn camera
Only approved questions get answered
Now stand your ass up for that national anthem

in 2 of these videos there are negative plays on our national anthem!

in 3 of them there are statements against President Obama.

in 2 of them they call our President a terrorist...

IRONY ALERT

MUSLIMS calling the USA a TERROR STATE???

Not to mention the first video calls OBL a "legend", do we not consider this propaganda under the guise of "art"?

Thats the problem with free speech, isn't it. Sometimes people will say stuff you don't like.

Or perhaps you only believe in free speech as long as you agree with what they are saying?

What is the difference between this and what every hipster in OWS has been trained to repeat? I just don't see the big deal.

The first amendment applies to everyone. These Muslim artists are not the only ones with anti-government messages. How about Green Day, Eminem, NOFX, RATM, Rise Against, Bad Religion, The Dead Kennedys, etc. etc. etc.?

I'm not saying I condone any of it. I'm just saying you can't have you cake and eat it too.

I feel like this could put American lives in danger. I truly believe that. You don't understand how hyped the majority muslim audience was at this concert.

We shouldn't condone that either. OWS is just a bunch of muslim loving druggie socialists under the banner of "patriotism"...

Seen it with my own eyes at wall street.

Muslims using music to spread anti-American ideals.... IN AMERICA??,

Sure. Why not? Seems a lot of people spread hate and other things via so-called music. Do you see the kiddos on the street corners bouncing and jiggling to the 'music' that says women are whores and cops should be shot? They have those lyrics pounded into their pointy lil' heads all day long .. over and over ...

It's an effective way to kinda be hypnotic about it all and the people don't even suspect ...

Nothing new
Music taking a moment to criticize America.
This is perfectly normal, And its a good thing overall.
Bob Dillon did it, Rage against the Machine, Megadeth, etc.

I don't like the music much, nor do I agree with the message, but its their right to voice their concerns and comparisons.
The people whom will vote will note that it is not as clearcut as the lyrics suggest, the ones that believe it is the entire story won't vote anyhow, will forget what day to vote, won't register, etc. They don't matter.

I don't think questioning the government, or pointing out the detatchment, flaws, and other such things is anti-american. Frankly, such actions are very much American..a responsibility really.

EXACTLY! so where is THIS gonna lead?
All these songs might as well be called "I HATE AMERICA"...while 2 of these guys live here and cater to muslim audiences!

Lowkey is not an Islamic radical. He's anti-American, but to paint him as his view being Muslim is wrong and ignorant to most music in general. I've been listening to lowkey since his key to the game 1 mixtape and I can tell you that you're wrong, i've also been an avid listener of most undeground british hip hop and anti-american political views are the norm, no matter what religion the rapper. they're also well founded, if you ask me. As Lowkey said, it's hard not to be spread anti-American ideals when all American ideals go against your own. What are the American ideals he attacks that you support? be specific. Im sure you'd love it if everything america does wrong is it ignored

it's anti-establishment, anti-power rap - American is at the heart of both. no different to a rage track. but because lowkey is a muslim it must be some conspiracy?

Some more fantastic "anti-American" moslem songs

Lowkey has retired from rap at the heart of his fame and reach, seems odd if there is a muslim agenda to spread anti-American ideals, why stop now?

Who cares about your national anthem, who cares about Obama, he is a terrorist. No irony there. Muslim is not a state, a Muslim can say w/e they want about America

I feel like your anthem and patriotism puts peoples lives in danger. Maybe the world ought to ban it and people like you?

I am surprised this has taken so long.

In the 90's it was en-vougue to get behind African American's. Spike Lee movies,Gangsta Rap. Hardly patriotic stuff. And there was also alot of truth behind it. There are many parallels with this kind of music.

I think the stage is set for a muslim version of Spike Lee to emerge.

Its the natural next step as far as American pop-culture goes.

And why do you find this so shocking? There is alot of truth to what they are saying.

And its not as bad as the Body Count song 'Cop Killer' or NWA's [SNIP] the police.

Is Greenday ok? Edit-Actually 'American Idiot has a swear. What about NOFX

He wants to come "hang down low with the nice Australians" Ha!

I see you are focused on them bad muslims making bad political points through their music and hype.

Tell me

Whats your thoughts on the non-muslim equal then

Hell, he doesn't even use music, nor become articulate in his hate..and I would venture to say most at that concert are christians.
