On first glance, I thought it was fireworks.

Awfully odd month for that sort of thing though...

Hey. Coranamoz, great choice of avater, our kid!

what a joke this pic is if you look at the second to last image you can clearly see that it is a hand gluider and it must have some sort of flares on it or fire works just look at the second to last pic for a while and youll see it

You may wanna get your money back for your "Hooked on Phonics" book, cause I don't think HAND GLUIDER is a part of the curriculum

Lol, I can imagine a kite or hand glider with fireworks glued on. Gave me a dangerous idea for bonfire night there.

Seriously though, good pics. I thought it was a rogue firework at first too. Looks pretty high up. No idea what it could be, some sort of burning materials perhaps.

Kessel says: "its a hanglider "

I'm sorry Kessel, I don't think anyone on this thread can take you seriously. Everytime I look at your posts I am completely distracted by the animated .gif of the hyperactive rotund fellow in your avatar, which causes me to burst out in laughter for at least 2 minutes at a time. The entire direction of your post is swayed

By the way, you're right-- it is a hanglider. Your image enhancements on page 2 make this very clear. I don't know why people are still conjecturing about it being an alien craft. Perhaps some haven't bothered to read past the initial pictures. So much for "denying ignorance", eh?

I do have to say that the pictures are quite clear- what kind of digital camera were you using mpeake? Keep taking shots of UFOs. With luck, members like Kessel will be able to help you identify them.

I think it looks like a branch on fire. Like when you take a piece of burning wood from the campfire and wave it around rapidly in any pattern and "see" traces of the burning tip, making shapes that seem present for the eye or the lens if the shuttertime is not too fast.

Then again; there are cars that look like boats and fish that look like reptiles, so this can be absolutely anything. Nice pics anyway

It's nothing fancy...just a digital kodak easyshare. I bought it for my wife about a year ago. We take it virtually everywhere now since we have a newborn son and she's always taking pictures of him. I will definitely keep my eyes open for the next hang glider that passes me by

he he. kessel your fat kid is making me queasy!
Where do you find stuff like that? Do you store all sorts of random fat people on your comp?

Its not a relative I hope?

P.S
mpeak, keep up the Good UFO spotting. If you take 1000 000 photos of fireworks, smouldering space trash, and handgliders and only manage to get ONE decent UFO pic, itll STILL be worth it.
You got my way above vote too.

Has ANYONE stopped to think what kind of MATERIAL hand gliders are MADE of? Well I'll be damned..they are as good well as flammable as toilet paper!

I'm sorry, I just had to say this. The handglider at the least would have caught fire at one point, that "fire" would have been everywhere and no sane or insane person would do such a stupid thing where they could loose control and they go "bye bye!"

Okay, Hand gliders MAY not be as flammable as toilet paper, but think about it, unless it's made of the meterial that firemen use, in no way, anyone would do such a stupid stunt...even thrill seekers are not that stupid, and then you would have seen a dense object FALLING downwards...or at least it wont go anywehre else.

Did you see anything blackish maybe with a glow from the aftermath falling downwards?

I'm sorry if I sounded like I wanted to be big here..it's just no one considered the bloody stuff is made of...and plastic is worse...they set of easy a lot of the times...depending on what TYPE of plastic...

Extremely wild pics!
These are different than other pics I've seen thus far. Maybe someone else got pics of it, too. I put them in a slow slideshow and could'nt believe the clarity in some spots. I have no idea what it is ,but I don't think it's hanglider or not any hanglider I've ever seen. Nice pics!

ra.disabilityexpo.com...

Today's glider can reach a maximum air speed of +75 mph, a cruise speed of 25 mph, and a flight duration of 6 to 10 hours with an operational ceiling of 18,000 feet. Dan has installed more than 100 feet of bale wire used to ignite dozens of flares and smoke bombs as part of his act.

Hangliders like sailplanes can be launched by small aircraft or even automobiles...soeven though there are no high structures it is possible to launch a glider.

I actually had a few more pics, but they were much less quality than the ones I posted. Also, I am not that good at photo editing so it took me forever to get the ones I posted downloaded here ofr all to see. I figured I post the best ones and leave it at that.
