Truth be Truth....

When you meet a Salafi / Wahabi... know that they so dearly wish for the entire world to revert to an Islamic Empire of Shariah Law, and will happily behead all kafiroon (non-believers) while proclaiming, "Allahu Akbar!!!"

I'm not trying to fear-monger.... but the Salafists are not in the business of freedom or equality.

Peace.

Since I am in Germany, I'll let you all know if it ever happens in my area.

(Rhineland-Pfaltz)

As for the idea itself?

I can't imagine Islamic missionaries competing with the Witnesses or the LDS or the Baptists with door to door visits!

Just you be careful you don't accidently destroy or deface any one of those 25 million Korans. You will be responsible for riots around the world by members of the religion of peace.

How about one of every religious text in every house. How else would you be able to defend yourself against mass delusions and cult like behavior?

No put really, that's insane, whether it's Islam or Christianity or whatever theist type religion you'd like to indoctrinate yourself into.

I suggest learning about all of them so you can realize how they are all the same, other than than what rich men did to make themselves more powerful a few thousand years ago.

Big wow, they might have this master plan but i highly doubt people will read it. People dont read books as it is, let alone religious fiction.

Everybody gets angry saying muslims will take over the world..Well, I dont think people will allow it, we're cracking down on our own governments now and people have become more aware of the evil that sits in our political offices. Its a long shot that Muslims who hold tighter restriction of your freedom would take over the western world.

Theres more Muslims in the western world who look at radical Islam the same way we do, as aposed to Muslims who agree with the terms of radical Islam.

So many under cover racists who read too many under cover racists web sites that chat complete utter bollox.

I live in an Muslim area, went to a predominantly Muslim school and even went to school with a 7/7 Bomber Husseib Hussian, same class, form, everything. I can tell you from real experience, not some paper written by a upper class bigot behind a desk. I can tell you, stop reading this crap about Islams plan to take over the world and get on with your life. Stop acting as if Islam is the only religion that has plans to take over the world, Christianity has an agenda, Jahova's do, so do Jews - Islam is not alone, Islam is not the boogy man.

Really, its starting to piss me off now. Go outside and meet some frikkin Muslims.

Excellent question. The group supposedly comes out of Saudi Arabia. I'm wondering if the Royal House of Saud is providing funding. They have a habit of appeasement in hopes that the croc will bite them last.

I'm thinking this ATS member would be one to ask questions of -
Sahabi ... who says he/she is an ex-member of that group.

The distribution of Koran, altough I certainly consider it a vile book full of lies, is not an issue in itself.

But imagine if christians tried to do the same with Bible, or atheists with the God delusion in muslim countries. It would not be long before a violent response. It is this freedom is what makes our western culture superior, yet at the same time open to systematic cultural assaults because we have inhibited our collective natural immunity.

And yes, the Salafists are whackjob extremists, these are no moderate muslims. Thats a cause for concern. As far as I know, Germany has laws against spreading ideologies in conflict with basic human rights, such as nazism. So why not apply it to Salafist version of Islam? These magoos are no better than nazis. Or is that not politically correct enough..

Excellent. Let me take inventory .... We have the Qu'ran ... a Qu'ran commentary ... The Bible (catholic edition) .. another bible (King James edition) ... a bunch of bible commentaries ... the Gnostic bible (called 'the other bible") ... some Summerian stuff ... Buddhist teachings ... but nothing Jewish ... Guess I'll have to see about getting some Jewish 'holy books' in the house.

Most Muslims are very nice. Well, as nice as the next guy.

Unfortunately it's the salafi Muslims who are behind this and they are to Islam what the SS were to Germany.

Of course most Germans didn't want to take over the world either.

I was already given a copy by a Saudi Arabian fireman. He was blessing me for defending his country.I'm quite pleased to have it.But it is in Arabic.Besides its fine to give knowledge in any form.We christians do it all the time.I'm perfectly happy for them to share their religion in this fashion.Any one can turn to Islam and live in peace with all of us ,only some would use that as a tool for war.It is up to the student to learn the difference or the instructor to preserve the truth.

When we lived in Alabama the fundamentalists there gave out free DVDs in the mail to everyone in the city .. and in fact I'm thinking it was everyone in the state ... and it was a bible DVD .. mass mailing type of thing. So I know Christians do the same kind of thing with the bible .. but as you said they don't do it in 'Muslim' countries. heck, Christians can't bring bibles or rosaries into Saudi Arabia, but somehow this sect is allowed out of Saudi Arabia (and funded by who???) into non-muslim majority countries, in order to push their cult. Doesn't seem balanced to me ...

I'm no lover of Islam by any stretch of the imagination, I think it's the most repressive, controlling and barbaric of all the major religions.
But so what?
If you don't want to read it put it in the bin.
If you choose to read it and think it's all a crock then put it in the bin.
Or maybe keep it and use it as a reference book.
Just because there is a Koran in your house doesn't mean you have to believe it.
It's only words.

I wonder if people would be as outraged if a militant Christian group decided to do the same with The Bible?

Personally I find the Old Testament nearly as alarming as The Koran.

What sort of reaction world-wide do you think we can expect from the Muslim community when Korans start turning up in bins and rubbish tips?

Is that the Salafi plan, to incite Muslim world wide and rally them to the cause of militant Islam?

When every household in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia has a Bible then it will be time to have a Koran in every household in Europe.

Don't see that happening any day soon, but of course racism only works one way, and Christians have no rights anymore.

Going back to what an earlier poster alluded to, I'm curious and a little concerned on how people who politely accepted books which are thrown into the garbage only a block away will be dealt with.

Is that person then considered worthy of physical punishment? The conspiracy theorist in me is foaming at the mouth...

The House of Saud (Saudi Royals) and the House of Wahab (Founder of Salafism) made a pact in the 1700's, establishing the House of Saud as rulers and the House of Wahab as the leading religious authorities of Saudi Arabia.

I would assume the Qur'ans are sponsored by Saudis.

Oh I agree....if a Christian group attempted something similar even over here in the UK there would be an unholy outcry from the Muslim community never mind if they attempted in a predominantly Islamic country.

But that doesn't mean 'we' have to act as retarded as they do.

I have no love at all for Islam and it's teachings but if people are going to get riled about something make sure it's over something worthwhile.

The Koran is nothing but words.....and despite what Muslims believe they are only man made words at that - there's nothing to be scared of.

As pointed out by another poster, I think it would be more worthwhile finding out who is funding this operation and expose them and their motives.
Follow the money and cut off the supply.

As has been already pointed out, the funding is almost certainly coming from Saudi Salafi sources. There isn't much chance of cutting that source of funding off.

Not considering that Salafi Muslims have already spent over $87 billion around the world spreading Islam.

Here is the 'leader' of the free world greeting the King of Saudi
