I did watch that video before,

and it was painful watching her deny the truths he was laying in front of her,

However, my beliefs do not go against mainstream scientific teaching or evolutionary biology, and I can understand secular folks getting mad at Christians who are YEC's when to do so means you have to discredit almost every major field of science, biology, psychology, cosmology, geology, archaeology, etc...

Yes it does. You are implying that Dawkins has been "debunked" because it was suggested there was a single difference between God belief and Santa Claus belief, in that no adults start believing in Santa.

My rebuttal is that analogies are not supposed to be perfect.

It does not mean Dawkins was wrong to make the comparison. There are more similarities than there are differences, both are beliefs that go contrary to reason, violate known physical laws, and are what one might consider "wishful" or "magical" thinking. It's fantasy. The Bible God is, anyway, not all concepts of a higher power are, admittedly.

Exactly what I was thinking. Kind of hard to hate something I don't believe exists in the first place. I have been called a god hater before... But then again it was from someone who thought dinosaurs are a hoax by the scientific community.

How do you feel about dinosaurs OP?

My theory. If you don't believe in god your labled a god hater by some religous nutter.

No I don't believe in a deity, I just said that deism type beliefs are not as clear a fantasy as the Bible God is.

I am an atheist.

I don't hate God as I don't believe in 'it'. I respect others decision to believe however my respect of others faith stops where their disrespect of my choice as a nonbeliever begins.

Being an atheist does not mean you have all truth, lol. It's amazing how believers view atheists that way, that when we say we don't believe your claim that a god exists, it means we have all knowledge. It doesn't work that way. We simply say that we don't believe what you claim. IT DOESN'T MEAN WE KNOW. YOU, on the other hand, do claim to have knowledge that this god exists. So, since your god is omniscient, and you have a personal relationship with him...ask him to tell you what I'm wearing right now, in perfect detail.

I'm not a 'God Hater' I just don't believe in god, there's a difference. Mainly because there is zero verifiable proof he exists. Well except for some religious texts written thousands of years ago that may or may not be an entirely fictional story (I'm guessing they did tell fictional stories back then?). What I do hate is the corrupt control structures of many religions. Faith is a personal thing it shouldn't be turned into a profit making effort (or even a religious warrior jihad making effort). The command and control structures of many religions are corrupt. I freely admit I do hate that.
