While I don't like lobbyists and believe that one of the ways to fix America is to rid the political system of them, I believe these sheets are useless (worthless, null and void) until they're affixed several other things. Like a serial(ish) number. Which means, those sheets of money is equal to the paper it's printed on. Which probably isn't much.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is a non-issue. It'd be like wrapping a gift in a birth certificate with no name. It's still a birth certificate but worthless seeing there's no name on it.

Of course, that's her job dude. If you read what I said, I expressed the opinion that lobbying is wrong and bad. In fact, it's badong, in my opinion.
However, this thread is about her wrapping gifts in money, I just don't see why you or anybody else should be able to say what she uses as wrapping paper is wrong.

I get it but don't expect most here to get it. Sometimes it is like visiting another reality logging on here.

Why, because some people think that people should do what they want with their money, even if that means using it as wrapping paper? Sorry about that...

I thought it was against the law to destroy money?

You can order those yourself:

Sheets of $1 Bills

A sheet of 32 $1 bills will run you $61. I guess that's the government's idea of a joke.

Look, this lady has the money, she can order these sheets just like you can, what is the problem? She's showing off, and being transparent about her line of work.

At least she's honest about it. Can's say the same for a lot of other Hill Rats.

By the way, for everyone who gives me a star - if I win that Mega Millions tomorrow, I'll give each of you a Lamborghini gift-wrapped with those sheets.

Did you forget that the lady is a LOBBYIST?

It shows the character of the people help shape the nation.

More like it's a tell. It shows fiat money based on debt is essentially worthless and only held up by a fallible belief system.

Actually she was the Director of the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) from 2006-11. There client is the Service Employees International Union. In fact this whole gift wrapping thing was celebrating the passing of Obama care. This was from an episode of ‘Real Housewives of DC’ . And they were celebrating with her union for helping to pass Obama care.Isnt it ironic the left is trying to use this as an example of those mean republicans life is so ironic sometimes.

I was going by this article which stated she worked for TWG www.tnr.com... so if the article was wrong then I apologize as I was not attempting to misinform.

However, I did more searching and until 2009 she also worked for the Erisa Industrial Committee which appears to work on behalf of corporations and on this committee she held a higher position than that with PCPCC

ERIC ADVOCATES WITH YOU AND FOR YOU!

From Congress, to the courts, to the regulatory agencies, ERIC is engaged on all fronts. ERIC membership is your most valuable and cost effective means of assuring that your voice is clearly heard and that your interests are advocated on complex employee benefit issues that increasingly affect your bottom line. For many companies, we are their principal voice on complex employee benefits issues in Washington and we reinforce the efforts of Washington representatives.

Our mobilization and leadership of coalitions extends that influence even further on both retirement and health care issues. The unified voice of ERIC’s members on Capitol Hill and within key regulatory agencies ensures your interests are covered as major legislation and regulations move toward becoming law.

www.eric.org...

definitely not working for the people...

And I am sorry but I do not trust this PCPCC group much either, there is something strange about a group whose whole purpose is that of lifetime constant contact with medical professionals

Among the recommendations of the project was that every American should have a "personal medical home" through which to receive his or her acute, chronic, and preventive services.

This is also supported by Obama who stated:

Barack Obama wrote "I support the concept of a patient-centered medical home"and that as president he would "encourage and provide appropriate payment for providers who implement the medical home model".

There just seems something fishy about this, I cannot pinpoint what, but I do thank you for directing me to this... It is something to study about

"It's nine dollars" says the narrator, who counts six whole dollars and three dollars that were cut in half.

"No! It's seven and a half dollars," says the lobbyist.

I predict Obama will soon try to force us all to buy these sheets of over priced wrapping paper.

It would seem that she is cutting the bills in half so they cannot be passed, and it doesn't appear as a bribe, however....

Pretty sure she is on video breaking the law:

Title 18 United States Code, Section 333 Mutilation of national bank obligations Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

She has intent for cutting them in half of destroying their value, therefor can be found guilty of the

Edit: Appears I missed the part where she was also taping whole dollars on. So it could be argued that her intent was just to wrap paper in money.

I don't care what people do with their money. I have no problem with rich people, you're not getting the point of the thread.

The video was to show a disgusting lobbyists CHARACTER and mindset over money. Someone like that would have no problem BRIBING congress.

And so because you typed it, you assume that anyone who isn't gullible and saw this for what it is, (more instigation towards the buildup to a class-war that is coming) just didn't read it, right? Don't believe everything you read there, buddy. Besides that, if it really was their money, than what business is it of yours what they do with it. Absolutely none. How about looking in before criticizing outwards. You will accomplish far more in life that way.

Troll harder

I made the word lobbyist huge in my OP for a reason. Hence why it was never a classwarfare thread.

Sorry that I care about lobbyists that influence my government that affects me

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but for all intents and purposes, the lobbyists ARE your government. You do not live in a democratic nation-state as you, along with your neighbours to the north have been led to believe. Western society has become a form of inverted totalitarianism quite similar, if not identical to fascism. If the corporate masters want something done than that is what happens, however, if the people want something done (and if they do, most never do anything about it), we are told "Oh well we'll vote on it." and then it gets turned down by congress (or the House of Commons up here) and nothing happens, hence the coming class-war that I see as inevitable at this point. The fact of the matter is, the system is not failing, it has failed, plain and simple. What remains in it's stead is merely song and dance to keep the herd docile. It's just that simple. If you want change, how about doing something instead of complaining about a symptom of the problem, but not the problem itself.

WOW! I cant believe what I just watched. I feel so helpless when i see stuff like this. How can my 1 vote in a highly corruptible, highly Republican state make any difference compared to someone who can directly hand a politician an expensive bribe...er gift?

In Utah we were all proud of electing a guy like Mike Lee, and it turns out he was just another turd in the punchbowl. Rubio, a tea party candidate, supports Romney? REALLLLLLLY?!? Paul Ryan, the deficit fighting king, supports Romney?!?

At what point do we say enough is enough and take this broad and her "friends", the pols, to the woodshed?
