EDIT: Ahhh it makes sense now. You are scum.

You obviously have no clue.

Some of us lobbyist work towards a better society. We are not associated with any special interest or corporate group. We lobby for balanced budgets, ending corporate donations to political parties (yeah, i know it will never happen but we try), and other thing that will actually improve our lives and democracy. Your anger should be directed at corporate lobby groups, just like mine is, those are the people who undermine our democracy for their own corporate greed. Unlike you, i actually DO something to improve the lives of my fellow citizens. You sit on your computer and call people scum you know nothing about.

I know it's printed in sheets. lol And then cut and stacked, sent out to devalue the rest of the existing currency and making rich men even richer.

I honestly did not know you could purchase sheets of money for whatever you wanted. It seems kind of strange to me to want to have a sheet of money but then again, I live paycheck to paycheck, so it wouldn't stay in sheet form very long.
I guess if you have too much money for your own good, this is the kind of thing you buy with it.

I get that not all lobbyists are bad. What do you lobby for if you don't mind saying?

It's just that this woman is clearly soulless and has no real opinion of her own. She is ONLY in it for the money/power/prestige as you can see here

Ending corporate favoritism and banning corporate donations to political groups and candidates and pressuring the government to post balanced budgets during times of economic growth are my two main issues of concern. I believe these two things can make a world of difference.

Perhaps your right, and it was wrong and reactionary to call you all hypocrites, my apologies. What she does is thoughtless, but if it is her own money, i really dont see any issue with it beyond her own stupidity. We all spend money on things we shouldnt or dont need that would be better off going to charity.

My apologies for jumping to conclusions. Though I might not agree with all your views at times, I do not disagree with all of them all the time either. It was uncharacteristic of me to stoop to the level of calling someone a name, and I retract it. I hope you are successful in your job, because it is something that is needed at this time.

Did you see the shoe collection directly behind them while they wrapped "goodies" for all the deserving aristocons? Would have made Imelda Marcos jealous.
Just 50 years ago this kind of behavior would have been enough to have her thrown out of the Capitol on sight.
There's something to be said for the "good old days" in respect to integrity.

Just as sad is there an audience that laps this crap up and thinks it's wonderful.
A few months living in ghetto housing would change a few minds I daresay.

I am quite familiar with your posting history, so I do know more about your views than you think. On the other hand, I usually don't call people that just for their views. If you lobby against corporate lobbyists you are using the same methods that they use without the larger financial support.

Agreed, but in my mind i am doing the right thing. If politicians were not concerned with pleasing the corporations in order to get their massive political donations, i believe they would be more concerned with doing their jobs, looking after the average taxpaying Canadian citizen.

And if you do as you say why would you call people hypocrites? Sounds to me you see nothing wrong here which is quite interesting coming from a "champion of people's voice over corporate lobbyists" like you pretty much described yourself as. The closer truth is that what you do is a job and if given the opportunity to make more money "advocating" for other team you would. Judging by your past post history and your input in this thread it wouldn't surprise me.

Not sure which posts you are describing. I consider myself fiscally conservative, socially liberal, and want as little government intrusion in our daily lives as possible. Which past posting history are you refering to?

I just posted an apology for the hypocrite comment in the post above.

We lobby for... end corporate donations to political parties

If that is true, then I must swallow my words, because I can respect the fact that you are lobbying for something which if successful, would force you to find a new career. So my apologies.

Accepted. And lobbying is far from my career, I make no money from my efforts nor do i want any. I want this for myself and my fellow citizens and most importantly for my children and their children.

Tarp and then some. Can you blame her? She must have stacks of money lying around with no way to get rid of it. Once you bought all you care to own you start throwing it away.

As it was of me to label everyone hypocrites. Apology extended and apology accepted!

I wonder if Boehner throws away the wrap or worships it?

My whole issue is if she is willing to wrap gifts for "speakers" in money then she would have no problem paying off or bribing politicians for whatever interest group she belongs to. Which is/was pro war

Thats actually an interesting aspect of this i did not consider.

If this is REAL money, and she is indicating it is, then technically the speaker could cut it up and use it. Does sound suspiciously like a gift wrapped in a bribe when you put it that way!

EDIT: Just out of curiousity, what DOES she lobby for or represent?

It's just paper that society puts value on. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Would you be more outraged if she was wrapping them with the leather skins of small animals?

I dont understand what the issue ie either. To wrap a gift with wrapping can cost as much, could be a little less or a little more though. The paper gets thrown out anyway, at least now people will keep it.

Well even if the wrapping is only 10 dollars or whatever it screams I WILL GIVE YOU MONEY! if you do this or do that for a corporation I'm lobbying for.

Does the few dollar wrapping make any difference when the gift inside costs so much more?

Of course things are skewed. We have sports stars making millions of dollar for throwing a ball through a hoop or for hitting a smaller "bally" with a piece of wood....LOL...shesh.
