Based on the Youtube replies, it seems that a lot of Las Vegas residents have seen this lights in the sky and many have called the government for explanation. They are always told that they are bats! These will be glowing bats if the authorities to be believed.

Lots of spotlights pointing up.

A few birds or bats flying around.

See it in most big cities at night (if you bother to look up).

What about a big helium balloon dangling long strings of spaced LED's? Like a Portugese Man of War in the ocean dangling tendrils? The lights appear to sway back and forth in "line" but always staying close to the group. None wander off on their own at any time during the video. Just swirling back and forth like moths to a flame.

Some say birds or bats lit up from Vegas lights. Vegas is the brightest spot on the planet. But birds don't fly at night right? And bats aren't that big? And can wander off from the group. Dunno...

Until we figure it out it will be the newest craze in Chinese lanterns.

They are remote-controlled helicopter drones in their testing cycles. They are testing the on-board
facial recognition systems from different heights, angles, lighting, etc. Las Vegas is picked because
there are so many people out doors at night --many races, ages, etc.

One drone has one type of equipment and the other has a different system -testing to see which one(s) work best from farther away.

Smile --you're on no-so candid camera and your face has just been added to newly created face-recognition database that will soon identify us all.

Would be interesting to see how many people who saw these got a cell call and no one was on the other end. If they did, they're mating the voice with the faces into the database. All the system needs is for you to say hi or hello to create an accurate file.

It's in nevada near lots of military bases, probably just some military aircraft running a test mission. Of course the government is going to say it's bats, they are not going to tell you what they are testing out.

This is the latest UFO sighting in Las Vegas. A pretty long video at 7mins plus. According to the author, they lasted more than 2 hours in the same spot so definitely not planes.

It's Very good footage, and if you play it in full 1080p and mid or full screen-
you can see what appears to be either many objects or 1 object morhping in to many differnet shapes. I have seen objects like this in the sky my self, but smaller versions; Not so many lights or orbs. If it is Real has it appears to be in the video that is a very large object. We are Being Observed by Extraterrestrials Like Fish in a Fish Tank. The Day Will Come When the Entire World Will Be Trully Aware, and Finaly Understand That WE Are Not Alone Nor Have We Ever Been Alone... That's The (Assention)!! That's the (awakening)!! Full Disclosure By The Extraterrestrials Them Selfs. An Event So Large and Encompassing That The Entire World Will Be Made Aware At 1 Time In All Time Zones All At The Exact Moment. No-More Denial's! No More Lie's! (Undisputed Proof)!!!

Very obviously flying animals eating insects attracted to the light. As people have been saying, bats would have to be the main candidate, with a few nocturnal birds thrown in.

The objects remain illuminated even After it moves out of the path of the beam.
Please rewatch original video..

I'm leaning toward orbs of some sort with bats still a possibility, but not likely.

You realize that's not a laser beam right?

The guy who originally posted the vid seems loonier than a junk yard dog. I gave him my 2 cents as to what it could be and he proceeded to talk like this: "HHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAH! DUDE... C'mon MANG! Did you NOT watch the video? All I ask is you actually WATCH the video I posted. I've heard DOVES... BATS... PARTY BALLOONS and now GOT DAMN SKY DIVERS!? HOLY # THE HUMAN RACE REALLY IS WORTHLESS!!! This is seriously SAD. Look man... Sky divers can't HOVER... Sky divers can't FLASH. They don't swirl around for HOURS in the SAME SPOT over a 2 hour period or more! I wish you the best man... but it ain't lookin too good."

Notice his excitement when he tries to make a point by typing like THIS lmao.

In this entire thread there is no credible argument for why this cannot be bats, or at very least birds. I'm on the bat side of the fence of course.

I would say the best argument would be "bats fly erratically".

Well, from my point of view those lights look pretty erratic to me. I've also posted a link to a species that is described as a "straight flier", what's more is that it's also described as having other traits that can be observed in the video.

So, I say to all those who believe this could even remotely be something else.... Why can't this be a video of bats?

As neat of an effect it is, the beam of light blasting out to space and illuminating organically flying orbs in the sky, it's pretty freaking clear that these are bats out for dinner.

I didn't even have to turn on HD and I could see the wings flapping in the last zoom-in towards the end.

Let's see a video without the Luxor' light on. I am not aware of any self-illuminating bats on planet earth. If they were still illuminated, then I think it would be safe to say this is a legit sighting. But uh, holy misinterpreted batman!

You have no idea what you are talking about. I have been fascinated by bats my entire life and have watched them for hours. I have thrown pebbles up in the air to watch them circle and dive bomb. Even under the most bright light in the middle of the country in Greece where there was only one light pole for miles. Bats do not cluster and fly in formations.

Their patterns are completely chaotic. You are dead wrong. Fail. Wrong. Not right. Incorrect. Fail.

These are NOT bats. I repeat. These are not bats. I already supported my claims. How about you mr bat expert?

He could have been speaking gibberish or Chinese. The video speaks for itself. Why resort to troll tactics and berate the poster?

Not Bats. No way. The burden of proof is on you buddy. You are the one saying you know what they are. Prove it.

Hey Mr Ornithologist, please name the species of "night birds" that are attracted to lights to eat insects? Given the fact we live in an urban world, full of lights, you'd think we would all be familiar with a light loving species that puts on such an incredible show.

Let me guess "wierdus nightius bug muncher?" The glowing belly bug sucker?

I myself am no Ornithologist, and I can't speak for chr0naut, but again, I will say Mexican Free-tailed Bat (Tadarida brasiliensis)

There's plenty of evidence in this thread that proves these are bats, try reading through it. I know 6 pages is a lot, but you can do it!

This is another video from a different angle. Seems legit. I think this could be a government project of some kind, man made orbs rather than UFO's.

Are you serious?Goverment project of man made orbs? That's clearly either bugs or bats flying around the light.Unless of course, you agree with me and your comment was tongue in cheek

there is also a website called vegasgolfandtravel.com that spefically lists this as "Interesting Facts" about the hotel.

www.vegasgolfandtravel.com...
Interesting facts about the Luxor: To ride up to the rooms in the pyramid, guests must use an "inclinator," a special elevator that rises at a 39 degree angle. The ultra-bright light atop the pyramid offers quite a show of nature on some nights, as bats and birds swim in the illuminating light.

Maybe the critics didnt see this in the first few pages? A travel website clearly lists this exact event, even as an added attraction to the Luxor hotel!

You would have thought that the thread would have ended with that reasonable explaination. No doubt the facts are too much for some people to handle, thus this thread continues.

That's where the mods need to step in and toss it in the hoax bin or just lock it.

If it were bats which are present every day of the year above a 315000 watt beam of light that is present every day of the year then wouldn't this be a daily sighting? What is happening here that has been missing all of these other times?
