Im not racist at all, the fact is more black people kill black people than white people kill black people. When there are riots black people kill each other and destroy their own things. That is not racism that is cold hard facts my friend. Now I am not blaming them for it, they are as they wish to be and to hold that against them would be racist.

no thats where you have me wrong, I do believe he guilty of something, i don't know the facts but I know he shouldn't of got out that car and that is the reason this happened and that poor boy is Dead, BUT the way the media spun this, how the black panthers can turn around and say kill whitey and nothing done about that, this woman should not come out and act like she is related to trayvon's family.

so let me get this straight, you are blaming the police, the media for the actions that the new black panther party wants to now engage in? it is their fault that these people are calling for "anyone blonde hair blue or sometimes brown eyed Caucasians" to be killed? that is what they said on that video. No long should they practice peace because it hasn't got them anywhere it's time to kill white people, it says that too.

I get what you're saying, and I think the guy with the Zimmerman avatar also gets your shtick. Your thread is about the idea that we teach our kids to fight back, In Trayvon Martin's case he did, but the perpetrator, A deranged, lunatic, maniac man who did the following, somehow becomes the victim, the kid, in the equation. This because of some "deranged" right wing news outlets doing their usual dirty work. A reversal of roles orchestrated by "deranged" spin media doctors working hard within those news outlets.

I'm not so sure he'll be acquitted - - because of the 2nd description of 2nd degree murder.

I do think he will get a lesser penalty then 2nd degree murder.

You wont be able to get 2nd degree murder thats why the state usually stacks up several charges. Thats why i expected to see manslaughter on the charges as well but there not there. This leaves 3 possibilities either the prosecutor is inept, Or she has some evidence she can use towards proving his state of mind either crazy or hatred, Or these charges were decided on knowing he can beat the charges.

I'm with you on saying that the special prosecutor only charged him with 2nd degree murder, KNOWING he can beat the charges...

this was done to calm the mobs down, have the trial, drop the charges (because it was in self defense) but then be able to say "We gave you justice: he was arrested, charged, and found not guilty of murder- Case closed"

After all, this is what the family and the mobs requested, right?

Do you really want to know what happens next? Now that hes been arrested he will go to whats called “first appearance” .The judge reads the charges to him advises of right to counsel and sets bond.

Then in 2 to 3 weeks is the arraignment this is where he states guilty or not guilty.Now in his case if hes realeased on bond he probably wont appear in person but instead will have his lawyer file a written plea. Here his attorney will file motion to dismiss on grounds of self defense.

This starts a pretrial evidentiary hearing on whether he is entitled to the immunity based on the law. here The defense must prove by “a preponderance of the evidence” (more likely than not) that Zimmerman was justified in using deadly force.If the judge finds the force was justifiable then the charges are dismissed and Zimmerman is immune from further criminal prosecution.If the judge decides his actions were not justifiable then it will move to pretrial.

In pretrial the lawyers will file motion after motion with the judge this will be the long part can easily take months.But this decides what evidences admissible and more importantly whats not. An example of this would be Travons school records defense would want them entered claiming state of mind and the prosecutor going to claim its irrelevant.

Then there's the trial Zimmerman is charged with murder in the second degree.Now burden of proof shifts to the state. Judging from the fact that 2nd degree murder you must prove the act was done from ill will, hatred, spite, or an evil intent, and is of such a nature that the act itself indicates an indifference to human life. And trust me thats a high bar to meet. So the likely outcome would be hes found not guilty. This would effectively stop the state from further charges however there is one chance after this. The feds can charge him with a hate crime depending on the climate that the justice department may charge him. But Im leaning for not likely because i think the feds would already be prosecuting the case since its an election year.

They have no priors on him they will have
to give him a bond. It could be
a 500,000 dollar bail or more
which he would have to pay 10% of it
so if it was 500,000 he would have to come up
50,000 dollars...
