Ok, fine. I guess I stand alone on this. I guess everyone here believes that all networks besides BET are ONLY interested in targeting white people. They could give a rats ass about any other race that may be tuning in. They ONLY are speaking to the whites. Right......

My argument was simply this. BET only targets blacks.
You can say other networks target mostly whites but that's not the same thing. If a network came out and was open about only targeting whites, there would be an uproar. No matter what you think, I promise you, there would be an uproar. And that is the point you are all missing. It's an obvious double standard. And it's only one of many, but this is the one ya'll want to argue back with? As if that makes the all the other points invisible?

No. I have never seen blacks discriminated against. Accept by myself and I only threw the "N word" (noone cares) (do they?) I have heard the word cracker,against whites. And the word cracker,I would guess would be the equivelent to "n word". But really it doesnt hurt my feelings at all, if blacks just called me white names.
I dont know if it works differently for black people.

In my area and in my lifetime all I have witnessed is "cracker" from the blacks and "N word" from the whites.

Nothing more than that.

The truth is that racism toward blacks has decreased significantly over the years, to the point that it is a non-issue for the majority of the race. I think there probably is more discrimination against whites at this point, because if a white person says something or does something, even accidentally, that is remotely racist, all hell will break loose.

Jesse Jackson, who is sometimes a joke, would be there very quickly, and the NAACP would as well. That is the reality. THEY are persecuting white people more than promoting blacks. There should be zero need for anything involving race at all. EVERYONE is equal, and American here in the states...Creating organizations to protect a race that is already free is completely moronic, and all it does is serve to, as I said, persecute "offenders" ie whites, and create more rifts in society. They are doing more harm than good.

id say that white black and asian people are on pretty even footing. if anyones getting the social shaft in america its largely the hispanic populace. however i do feel that there is a double standard against white people. we are made to feel bad for our races past transgressions when in reality there isnt a skin color on earth not guilty of human attrocietys.

"White" is a color. "Caucasian" is the definition of "Race"

Technically the vast majority of North Africans (Berbers in the West, Arabs and Semites in the East) are "Caucasian".

In the Middle East Semites (such as Jordanians, Palestinians, Israeli's, Egyptians) are all Caucasian.
Iranians (Persians) are Caucasians.
Arabs are Caucasian
Turks are Caucasian
And even Indians are in fact a variety of Caucasian.

Technically.. according to DNA research. There being 3 major genetic families, Caucasian, Asian and African.

Interesting, I need to learn more about this subject. So what are Native Americans (aboriginals of the Americas), are they considered and variation of Asians, or Asians mixed with Caucasian? I always thought the Semites were a race of their own with heavy Caucasian mixing.

Those are just the few I remember the kids at school shouting. Honestly I'm beginning to think the word white is just as bad as the n word at this point. There is so much anger at whites, and frankly I'm tired of it. I just don't care. If you hate me because I'm white, then just go get a life. I'm a quarter American Indian, my grandmother is cherokee, and you don't see me begging for retribution. And no, I'm not collecting a check that I know damn well I could have access to if I wanted it. Handouts are the source of all the problems in this country. No one is taking responsibility for themselves.

i'm a bit cherokee myself, not enough to collect a check but i love the spirit and make custom indian weapons for a hobbie. anyways, the way i feel is that native americans would have just as much of a right to piss and moan as 'minorities' but do they.. i dont hear a damn thing from that side. and for any who want to say anything about casinos and/or reservations f-off.. natives have casinos, blacks have record labels, etc... niether are are doing everything they should for all thier people.

Rockpuck is right in that the Berbers were mostly caucasian. There were some Ethiopians among the Moors who invaded Spain and the Iberian peninsula. Berbers are considered indiginous and Arab, Roman, and Pheonician invaded the area. Carthage is a famous historical site where the Pheonicians settled.
Romans were in Spain and Germanic Visigoths settled there. The Moors which were a combination of Arab, indigenous berbers and ethiopians invaded Spain.

700 ad is not that far back in history really. What is the real subject? When I start looking at populations and how they went from one land to another it gets really nuts.

History is replete with invasions and conquests. To not acknowledge that is folly. In the end though we are all expressions of the Divine Spark, no matter what the Mitocondrial differences are. Oh wait, are you atheist?

My point is this black people (all people of color) are the victims of discrimination, prejudice and racisim. SINCE WHEN HAVE THE VICTIMS BEEN THE VICTIMIZERS. When have those who face the most oppression also been able to be the oppressor. How foolish does that sound. To disagree mean that you do not understand the dynamics and structure of racisim. How can the one that is effected the most by racisim also be the rasict. It's a contradiction. That's like saying the slaves can also be the slave master.

Also the moors where black there are literally thousands of sources that document that so there is no reason to even go further on that subject. Just look at some of the videos I've previously posted or read some of the books I suggested. Lets stop dealing with opinions and based off nothing and deal with facts built off history.

Thirdly, if you are european background you can not say how blacks(all people of color) are effected by discrimination, prejudice or racism because you aren't black(all people of color). Your on the outside looking in. It's like attempting to explain the life of a wealthy person and you live in poverty and have never experience wealth. U may have numerous opinions but unless you know what it is like to be black(all people of color) you cant comment on how we are effected by society. Everything has a palarady. Blacks and whites views on discrimination, prejudice and racism are like water and oil. They will never mix. Plane and simple.

I might add that blonde in berber lexicon is not the same as the blonde in Nordic lexicon. Berbers were still darker than the Nordic races, yet are still considered to be of caucasoid origin.
