It has nothing to do with drivers or hardware.
It has everything to do with the algorithm Google uses to zoom an image beyond its native resolution.

Ok.. I guess I'm going to have to go contract for Google too

I've spent a ton of free time looking for "ufos" and other lochness sasquatches using Google Earth, and yeah they are all bogus. I didn't realize this was an image from a zoomed Google Moon.

I'm starting to see why so many regulars call on your services here, and rightfully so.
Thank you for my second helping of humble pie today, it's quite delicious.

Note to self: Will always be looking for keyword google in posts sources from now on

I found a big letter "A". How do you suppose that got there...

I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed this (if anything), but look closely at the crater above and slightly to the left to the original anomaly. It almost looks like there is another "V" shape inside the crater. When zoomed in, the "lights" look too fixated on one another to be naturally formed, and I see another "V" shape above it. Interesting...

Lighten up folks, it's only the internet

To look at it in a funny way, it sure resemble Pacman
Or it could almost resemble some places in Hades Nebula

I've added a white square.

What could it be? Could it be a spacecraft? Or is it kind of a building? This V shaped line of "lights" sure looks interesting...

not sure if its been mentioned already ...

tho i think there may be other pics of phoenix lights showing something a bit different .. you guys decide ..

well done shrike

Are you really that stupid or do you practice we named it Andromeda, do you think if an aliens many light years away saw an image of our solar system they would call the earth, earth, NO they would give it a name.

That shows you how thick people who claim contact with aliens are, they give them the name WE gave there star system.

They would have there own name for where they live
they would use that!

www.abovetopsecret.com... www.bibliotecapleyades.net...
You could try contact the persons who allegedly are "Andromedan Contactees" and ask them what Andromedans call themselves. However, if you take a look at this www.bibliotecapleyades.net... site

All right. I want to start off by reading some information given to me by Vasais. In short, who the Andromedans are is that they come from the region of the Andromeda constellation and from a star system in that constellation they call Zenetae.

They are a telepathic race, although during the last 30 years I have tried to teach 'Moraney' the English language ('Moraney' is the name of one of the alleged Andromedans who is allegedly in contact with Alex Collier). He has taught me how to "read" their telepathic communications, which are holographic. It’s been an interesting situation. Now, when I write down what Moraney says, I write it down exactly as he says it.

When you go to the Leading Edge Research Group web site and you see that, it isn’t that it is mis-typed, but it’s exactly the way they say it. I have made a promise that is the way I will present it. They are a race with light-blue skin. They were on Earth some 62,000 years ago for a period of 62 years.

www.bibliotecapleyades.net... The Andromedans allegedly call the Earth-inhabitants "Terrians", and allegedly call planet Earth "Terra".

Just like there are reported different kind of unknown heiroglyphics in UFO crash cases, the different kind of Extraterrestrial races reportedly communicate in their own languages, take a look at for example The Lacerta Files were an alleged interviewed Reptilian humanoid being reportedly call herself "Sssshiaassshakkkasskkhhhshhh" (spelled in human letters of course), so the different kind of ET species reportedly use different kind of languages.
From about 3:05 into this interview, a girl who claim to have encountered a Reptilian humanoid being, she explains that these Reptilian beings communicate through thought transference (telepathy), or if they communicate with each other by using sounds, she says the Reptilian beings communicate in "Harsh" way of sound-communication (from about 4:03 in this interview), she demonstrated an example were she said something like >>Rharrharrharrha-tsatatahhss-t-t-ts-rhatsash-t-th-sh-rhatata-ts-ts

This is a very irrational and close minded statement. With no serious thought given on either side of the argument.

There are too many people alike on ATS. This has to change.

Why must you all NEED concrete evidence in order to believe whether something is true or false.

You have been robbed of your critical thinking and intuition.

I really hope this attitude will soon change, for all of our sakes.

WAKE UP YOU FOOLS !!

What does belief have to do with critical thinking? Since when is intuition a substitute for concrete evidence? How exactly do belief and intuition determine whether something is true or false?

hold on there a second buddy, I didn't say that it couldnt be a crater or artifact, but, lets think realistically here for a moment and realize the fact that craters do not form perfect shapes with points to them.
just sayin.

But computers do. If you had the ability to comprehend how imaging works like this, you would know.

But alas, more ignorant twattery to confabulate the masses into thinking there is a triangle on the moon.

On your last sentence: when one looks at lunar photos one sees all kinds of pareidoliac formations. Triangles, squares circles, hexagonal craters, rectangular craters, frying-pan-shaped craters, pyramids, lobster-claw-shaped crater central peaks, 3-way-speaker-system crater chains, bigfoot-footprint-shaped craters, craters with smiley face inner craters, a crater with a sickle, etc. I've found these formations and more in my copy of LUNAR ORBITER PHOTOGRAPHIC ATLAS OF THE MOON, which is now available in digital format at www.lpi.usra.edu...

My ATLAS weighs 9 pounds and has large or mini-poster size photos. Of course, none of these formations are alien constructed. Pareidolia at its best!

BTW, since the "anomaly" has been explained very well as having resulted from computeritis, no one has come back and seen the daylight photo of the crater that shows the long, narrow "natural formation" that is located in the same place and at the same angle as the upper half of the white "orbs". Isn't that in itself a coincidence?

And using the original opening image, when it's magnified enough for the pixelation to take effect all around the > shape, the white orbs still hold their shape better than the surrounding area. While the > may no longer be considered an anomaly and it seems to have fallen out of favor as the replies no longer address it, I'm glad to see that the thread attracted some pretty knowledgeable members.

Yeah, we all know that this image of the V shaped line of "lights" resemble 'Pacman's teeths
So what?

You don't know if the image resembling 'Pacman's teeths is a result of computeritis or not.

Care to post what you are referring to?

You have the 9-pound Moon Atlas, and you linked to the site with the Moon photos, online. You can find the area in either place, maybe even scan a page from the Atlas, and post it?

I suggest you that you go back a couple of pages until you find the daylight photo of the crater in question. Not difficult.
