Many muslims, especialy in poor muslim countries, are closer to animals than to humans.Sounds harsh?

Well, lets see :
-christians crusades ended 500 years ago.Every religion those times were filled with fanatics, and MOST of the kings, sultans, etc were fanatics also.Killing in the name of God was a law for muslims, christians, and prety much all religions.
-today, if you burn the Quran (its a book), you deserve to die, muslim or not.
-today, if you not a muslim, you have to choices, based on their belief : convert or DIE.
-today, if a christian beats or kill a muslim in a country, the next day, ALL muslim countries are raging and killing their christians.

Today, in ANY christian or ANY other country - EXCEPT a muslim one - you can BURN a BIBLE and nobody will die, no crazy mobs burning your house, etc.You might get a fine and be categorized as nut...BUT THAT WILL BE ALL.

Islam is religion of peace...BUT after killing or converting ALL the INFIDELS.After that, will be peace...or not, because Sunnis and Shiites are killing eachother anytime when theygot a chance.

Iran, a MUSLIM state, with MUSLIM RELIGIOUS LEADERS in charge and NUCLEAR WEAPONS...i say :

I agree about no longer wanting to put up with muslim violence. It is absolutely uncalled for and totally different than the violence and plunder created by christians and other religions such as; the systematic rape of children by catholics, the deprivation of freedom and pursuit of happiness to gays/lesbians, the cowardice terrorist attacks on abortion clinics. I will end the list here for two reason. First if I were to continue I would run out of characters before even having to put any effort into generating such a list. Second, so much time, effort and money has already gone into making sure Americans know who the "real" bad guys are. Muslims (read: terrorist, insurgent, militant, radical) of course!

People interpret what they read individually UNLESS someone interprets it for them(ie.reads it to them). You go to the majority of these places and their is very little organised education - either the boys go and get thought from the angle of the Koran - and the girls aren't invited ( though this is changing ( even had to defuse a bomb at a school because it started to admit girls !)
Or education is seen as a distraction from Islam - thus unholy
Many many Muslims are illiterate and only interpretation of the Koran comes from imams that tell glorious stories of Mohamed's battles and victories over the infidel - that capture and ultimately inspire their followers

The people cannot make up their own minds becouse they can't read or expand their knowlege ( to do so would distract you from the will of Allah - I heard of a guy at the local village returned from a trip to London , told the village man had walked on the moon so had his head chopped off ! The only exposure they get is from either - genuine modest imams, imams with their own agenda or imams preaching of war - coz that's what gets the people in

I have to wonder why so many 'look at what the evil Muslim savages are doing now' type threads are popping up on ATS...every little 'naughty' act seems to be broadcasted so we can see how 'bad' Muslims are it seems.

Alot of people look back in history and see the mistakes of the past, they condemn those before us for failing to 'see' and for falling for the propaganda of their 'rulers' or those who would like to 'rule'. And yet, here we stand, and many of those very people who cast the stones of 'shame on you' are doing that very thing and repeating that history. The propaganda has always been the same, though it be in diverse packages, and how easy it is to be snared by it.

It bothers me how people are quick to jump the candy train (yet again?) rather than sit down and really take a balanced and indepth look into things. I think you will find things are not so black and white. I think you will find many of the complicated things are more simple and the things we thought simple are far more complicated. I think you will also find discernment more wholesome than judgement.

And if there be an injustice done, know that it is universal and not just a 'Muslim', a 'Zionist Jew', or whatever label you want to use. Injustice is universal. We seem to be chasing our tails and tales in circles right now when it comes to exposing what is wrong with the fruit tree and how to adresse it and manifest that 'Tikkun Olam', or that 'Mitakuye Oyas'in' and 'wa'ste', or that state of 'Islam', or that state of 'Christos', or that state of 'Hermes', or etc.

I feel no anger because someone has called me white, called my imaginary friend a name. I do things for myself and those around me because I am compelled to do so, I do not do the things I do because I fear judgement or punishment by my imaginary friend.

I am happy and feel no anger toward my fella man because he is different to me, because he wears different cloths to me.

This is my life without religion, its a happy life and one I live for myself and those around me, I can make a difference and provide evidence of this difference.

Sadly the power of wishing is very much lacking when put up against a thrown stone or club, and even far less so then being on the recieving end of a fired projectile....violence is simply a fact of nature.... When Islam took over Lebanon and christians were murdered and their bibles burned in front of them, main stream media didn't give a sh*t and it went uncovered.
