Thanks for sharing about Kali and Durga. Kali is a fearsome but effective deity. I also have Laksmi in my home, as well as Shiva. You have my respect for your appreciation of the Divine Mother.

I haven't represented her positively in this thread, and I know that. I did, however, need to get this out and express how I've been feeling for some time, once and for all.

This is a nice photo. Funny thing is, to read a lot of people on ATS, you'd think the soldier would simply shoot her because he's an "evil American soldier".

Who knows? Maybe he did shoot her because she had a bomb strapped underneath her jilbab! If you feel offended by the previous sentence you should examine who puts these individuals in those situations ...

if every counrty in the middle east want to blow each other up let them ffs, it ain't America problem, and after they are done bombing/killing/maiming each other, then we can just bomb em after to save us trouble, time, and resources, not like America is against bombing civvies anyway, i mean are drone strike statistically kill almost 2x as many unintended people as the target, but i say meh, let em weed each other out, worked for Australia and america, let people kill each other stop trying to stop the inevitable.

A trial court located in the Gilan Province of Iran has sentenced Christian pastor Yousef Nadarkhani to death for the crime of converting from Islam to Christianity. Read more: dailycaller.com...

DailyCaller

Just recently happened. It seems Iran has a few issues to deal with and happens quite frequently in their country.
I would like to see what would happen if a Christian nation did this to its own people in this day and age.

Those that claim to be in the know are, in my experience, the most jaded and misinformed of all. I, on the other hand, have never claimed to know everything. The most popular misconception that people have about my posts is that I am trying to tell people what to think. I could really not care less about what most people think, I just use this website as a sounding board, so that I may better figure things out in my own head. I realise that sounds a bit selfish, but my life experiences have lead me to this mentality, it is what it is.

Not selfish at all. I do have to say, I think you might be confusing with knowing/being aware with "in the know"/

Or maybe I am wrong? I always thought when someone said in the know, it meant they were actually involved in some way where as [people like you and I and a few others are just able to pick apart and dicern the truth from the bs theater the rest of the world sees.

I dunno,,,,,,,

Well, I'd like to say George Soros for starters. He's a socialist who admitted working for the nazis though. For the record, Medea Benjamin of Code Pink and Bill Ayers were both known to have been in Egypt stirring up the pot before the Arab Spring there, and Code Pink at least is funded and supported by Soros. Soros is a foreign operative and NOT American. POTUS even is shaky in the natural born area and I don't feel that he behaves American. He behaves like a foreign operative. He is certainly owned and controlled by Soros, but then Soros is a Bilderberg. Bilderbergs are Intl in case you still want to blame it all on America.

Not once have I "blamed America" directly. I indicated "Western" involvement.

On the contrary. What makes this situation more urgent is the fact that ours is the invading army.

You think the useful idiot is the person who will not wantonly murder at the whims and desires of the elite who are just trying to enforce more efficient control.

I think the useful idiot is the person who actually believes that we are waging war on the middle east with just cause.

Maybe if you shed the knee jerk, emotional feedback loop for a moment and used reasoning and facts, you would see that the aim of these wars is not to fulfill romantic ideas like liberating free nations and free men. It's not about keeping you safe from terror. The aim of these wars is to consolidate power.

If it makes you feel like a man to be an unquestioning manufactured wooden toy soldier at the service of the unscrupulous cabal in power, on a level with wood and earth and stone, that's you prerogative. But know that real men serve with their conscience also.

There is no virtue in the actions of the central bankers, the military-industrial complex, the propaganda machine and their controllers using the standing government as their tool to consolidate their power. I will not resign my conscience to the evil and stupidity of it all.

I quarrel not with far-off foes, but with those who, near at home, co-operate with, and do the bidding of those far away, and without whom the latter would be harmless.

To the OP, Religion IS War - history is proof of why I say this, so is the present and unless we rid the world of this evil rot so will the future.
The only good religion brings is to console the superstitious that things happen for a reason and that there is a bigger picture, this does appear to help those who have "faith". The problem is due to the fact that you need to put reason and logic to one side to have faith, this makes the faithful easy targets for alpha-type personalities to control them by feeding them lies and bad interpretations of archaic written texts.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

I do agree that Muslims worldwide are not helping matters. They tend to keep quiet when fellow Muslims cause mischief and when there is retaliation they will make a hue and cry over it. Being quiet is like condoning the actions of the " few " as they put it. Case in point is like when the Hezbullahs and Hamas shoot rockets into Israel they keep quiet..but when Israel retaliates they will show it on Al Jazeerah and the newspapers. If you people honestly believe in peace voice out when things are not right. You do not have to fight and die for peace, just voice your displeasure and contempt for these distasteful actions carried out by the " few " as they put it. I am all for moderation in whatever I do so this is WRONG....really something is WRONG.

Sorry man, a million dead in Iraq trumps the extremist Muslims! There is no comparison at all! If you went to the beach and scooped a handful of sand you would be holding about a million grains of sand. If you filled a thimble it would be about the number killed by extremist Muslims.

It is America that seeks to destabilize the whole of the middle east. It is Americans that scream for blood! It is Americans who have invaded and occupied country after country. It is Americans that beg for more of the same. It is America that uses weapons of mass destruction and rains death from the skys with unmanned drones keeping entire nations in a state of fear. We are building a web of hate and nothing more. We have created more terrorists than ever and there is no end in sight! You cannot wage war on 2.6 billion Muslims! We don’t have that many bullets!

The best security policy America could adopt would be to tend to America and leave everyone else alone. Strength lies in defense not attack!

More than a million have died including thousands of Americans! There is a reason why these jokers think they are figthing the great satan, and until it is addressed the violence will just get worse!

Petrus, remove religion from these cultures, and you'll see they are almost all exclusively male centric. Its not the religion that does this, its the culture itself. This is why most Muslim women, always like to view cultural and religious development separately. I'm only aware of one culture that is female centric and is devoutly Muslim in the same time and these are the Minangkabau of Indonesia. They are so fascinating. But if you want to know the reason I'm so outspoken and unabashed and unafraid, is because of my dad, a devout Muslim and the most intelligent man I know (aside my husband), has raised me to be like this. He was and still is, an exceptionally strong man, he hates ignorance, using gender as an excuse for weakness and he has been the most influential person in forming my personality. My mom was just quiet most of the time, and only gave us unconditional love, who's importance can never be understated, but my dad is the one I got my courage from
So he being a man, is the reason I as a woman have been supported to go out in the world and kick ass. He would never shut me up, or tell me that I didn't know stuff, or ask me to respect him. He would go ballistic if I was disrespectful to my mom but if I made fun of him, if I debated his ideas, if I made him look like a complete and utter fool, he would only smile and let me do it. Male centric society can flourish, they just need to be non-hypocritical when it comes to their treatment of their women.

Also, I appreciate your nice words towards me, and in appreciation I'd like to share the following links with you.

The first one is very famous. Its about a woman who was protesting in the streets in Egypt and the police caught onto her, beat her senseless then took off her hijab, her clothes and this was all photographed.

Women Beaten in Egypt

In the face of such a treatment, 10,000 women went to the streets in Cairo demanding the military to step down:

10,000 women in Cairo

And some better news: An Egyptian woman is running for President after almost a year from the start of the uprising. Egyptians, although having experienced lovely culture and development up until the 1920's have gone downhill because of their corrupt politicians and their being quiet to them all these years. But there is hope, a good wonderful bright hope.

Having a read of some of this might help you see a different side of things. Not saying I believe all of it, but there's some messed up stuff that will probably be backed up with facts.

Quote :

I believe the US has a pro-Iranian policy, by which I mean not a policy to help ordinary Iranians, but a policy to support the Islamist terrorists who run the country. My view will be surprising if you have noticed at all the tradition of public invective between US and Iranian officials.

If you want to just dismiss the quote and be wound up, fine, but if you read some of it you might be surprised.

The religion of the future should transcend authoritarianism and avoid being used as a tool to carry out their hunger for power over men.

Think I'm with you to be honest, looks like people should really do some more research into some of these problems if they're so bothered. If you took away the warmongerers and their false news broadcasts I think most Muslims and Christians would be fine with eachother.

Sad when you think of how many people still have their world views shaped by the MSM too.

Over 50 flags for the thread and +90 stars for the opening post too, seriously....

The problem isn't Islam, it's fascists who run most of the worlds governments.

Radical Islam are the people taking over the world, and America, with it's nose in world affairs having nothing to do with them, and a military presence in almost every country in the world, is trying to stop them?

Something is backwards here.

not to mention computer analysis has proven the sphinx to be at least 10k years old maybe older..this would discredit the entire religion if one admitted this, so they simply dont discuss it.
