This is exactly my point. You can't just turn to a literal reading of a religious text to see how it is lived today. By the same token, you can't just claim that all Muslims have a religious mandate to kill all of us non-believers.

No, that would be the radical version of Islam, and of course not all muslims subscribe to that behavior. I did state that I think that is being promoted by operatives of the Illuminati or whoever else stands to benefit from it. There is obviously a radicalization process. Tunisia TV even aired a program on radicalization in Britain.

Muslims aren't the only religious people freaking out. I'm constantly harassed by Christians because I'm Wiccan. I specifically remember a man walking into my work and scoffing at me for wearing a pentacle. I told him it meant a combination of all elements, not satanism. And that even if I was a satanist, I donate a lot more money from my paycheck than most Christians. He still insisted that his pastor said that the pentacle was evil. I was constantly, CONSTANTLY harassed in 8th grade for being a Wiccan. My first hour teacher right now treats me differently than the rest of my class because I'm not Christian while she is a devout catholic. Muslims aren't the only "monsters" here. Let's reevaluate ourselves before we attack the Muslims... Again.

You can hardly blame the book or the belief they proclaim to carry.

It's funny I see people say this all the time...unless we're talking about White Christians.

When you're dealing with someone from the middle east like this, you can't look at them as the same free-thinking people like you deal with in your every day life.

Islam is not just a belief structure - it is an absolute way of life. You can't fight that. You can't change that. If that way of life threatens you - there's only one thing left to do.

Then get the hell out of our countries and mind your own business. Stop assassinations of our leaders and installing your puppets. Take your corrupt "democracy" and let us chose what form of government and what laws we want to live by.
You see, we are already sick of you!

Would you like to explain how we overthrew Mubarak? Or wait, I think that was you guys. Who overthrew Zine El Abidine Ben Ali? Who killed Qaddafi? Wasn't it his own people?
We haven't gone anywhere near Iran since the hostage crisis where Iranians took Americans hostage. OH wait, we did take out Saddam, but didn't that help Iran?

Also even Sunnis hated Saddam. Maybe you are Shia though.

Do you believe in Sharia Law and spreading it wherever you go? Maybe there is something wrong with that ideology. Christianity left the Crusades in the dust centuries ago.
Also, I want to know just what it is in the Christian Bible Islam is supposed to correct? Did Archangel Gabriel make some mistake before Islam?

Who funded, encouraged, in some cases armed, and actively supported all of these movements? What sort of power vacuum was left after and who filled it? Why?

You can't compare ignorance to a religious theocratic political ideology.

Ignorance of another type of belief does not equate to the millenia-long war between islam and christianity.

Well, I'd like to say George Soros for starters. He's a socialist who admitted working for the nazis though. For the record, Medea Benjamin of Code Pink and Bill Ayers were both known to have been in Egypt stirring up the pot before the Arab Spring there, and Code Pink at least is funded and supported by Soros. Soros is a foreign operative and NOT American. POTUS even is shaky in the natural born area and I don't feel that he behaves American. He behaves like a foreign operative. He is certainly owned and controlled by Soros, but then Soros is a Bilderberg. Bilderbergs are Intl in case you still want to blame it all on America.

I am distressed that this thread ended up making it to the front page. It is something that I should not have written.

I am also disturbed by the amount of groupthink that is evident in the massive starring, of virtually every post in this thread. I suspect that there is a group of conservatives, who very much want to ensure that this type of opinion is promoted. I apologise for contributing to their agenda.

So you are baiting and trolling and now you want to apologize. Have you considered applying at the WH?

No. At the time, I was honestly expressing how I felt.

I do not like Islam. I think it is an ugly, barbaric, repressive religion, and I stand by my original statement that I genuinely wish that it did not exist. There is a difference between saying and feeling that, however, and advocating actual violence towards Muslims.

I do not, when I am not angry, truly want to be violent towards Muslims. I simply wish, to be honest, that I was able to live on another planet where Islam was simply not present. I would have no objection to Islam existing elsewhere in the Universe; I simply wish that it did not have to exist anywhere that I am likely to be exposed to it.

This is truthfully, the other main reason why I consider Muslims' degree of attachment to their religion offensive; because I consider the religion itself as vile as I do.

That, really, is all I want. I do not want violence. I simply want a scenario where I do not need to know about the fact that Islam exists. Nusnus is the single most redeemable Muslim I have encountered yet, (to the point where my respect for her, is such that I actually wish she was not Islamic, so that I could write about this without potentially attacking her personally) but I also consider it noteworthy that she is female. Islam is a male centric religion, and I have literally never seen footage of an Islamic riot, where a single female face was visible in the crowd.

You want the name of the guy that created Al-Qaeda? I cannot give any names but I do know that it startes with C and ends with A, with only one letter in between. Is any further explanation needed? I doubt it is if that touch of sarcasm in your post that I noticed was intentional lol. There was a database that they used to use to catalogue and categorize terrorists in the middle east from the '60s all the way through to the early '90s that was called "Al-Qaeda." I think you can put 2 and 2 together. The rise of Wahabi islamism also seems to coincide with certain CIA ops in the middle east as well. Funny how that turns out eh?

Do not wear it publically. Problem solved. Before you accuse me of being repressive for this, I have a brass yantra in my wallet, as well as medallions of Kali and Durga Ma, but I do not flaunt them publically, and I do not show them to anyone who I do not trust.

I also find it necessary to avoid vocally self-identifying Atheists and devout Christians myself offline, for the most part. Christians tend to consider me satanic to roughly the same extent they do you, and I do not enjoy Atheistic mockery, either.

The difference between Christians and Richard Dawkins and Muslims, however, is that while they might consider Paganism evil or foolish, respectively, neither of them will murder us for it. Muslims will.

Thanks for sharing about Kali and Durga. Kali is a fearsome but effective deity. I also have Laksmi in my home, as well as Shiva. You have my respect for your appreciation of the Divine Mother.

I've seen news reports of at least four difference incidents of Islamic violence over the last 24 hours.

America is in at least four different wars against islamic countries over the last several years.

Imagine this for a moment.

The Middle East has become militarily dominant. It has decided to target "the christian west" and invade and occupy these countries one by one.

One day they decide they don't like America's or Britain's or Frances' WMD's, government type, leadership, etc...

So they invade your neighborhood.

Are you a christian terrorist when you fight back? Would you be just another violent christian?

Surely their news or propaganda machine would tell their people you are such. Surely some of those people would visit internet forums and rant about how tired they are of the violent christians and claim they need to be stopped.

It's foolish. Don't be a fool.

Moral relativism will be the death of us all - but of course the weak sisters will be the last to die, since useful idiots are of more use alive than they are dead. That must explain why there are so many weak sisters around. They'd rather live on their knees than die on their feet.

Yes, it's moral relativism. It's attempting to equate an Islamic invasion of "the west" for capricious reasons with the invasion of some middle eastern countries for cause. That does not equate. That does not compute. It's moral relativism, trying to perch a hypothetical on the same moral ground as a concrete.

Don't worry, though. When they invade, I'm sure they'll save your throat to end to cut, rather than cutting it first. You'll live longer than me, and that will be the thanks you get for your support. In all honesty, I'll prefer my death early and uncompromised, but you obviously don't. To each his own.

Then another post of mine which was about 2 weeks old was also reported

This is a nice photo. Funny thing is, to read a lot of people on ATS, you'd think the soldier would simply shoot her because he's an "evil American soldier".

You've started a pissing contest. Where were you during the 30 years of Christian violence in Northern Ireland? Selective religious history is for kids, or ignorant adults.
