Welcome to the (long) thread PBL666.
That is an interesting experience you had. If it felt more like your grandmother touching you, maybe it was her letting you know your niece was with her and she was okay.
That's kind of freaky about the light coming on, but maybe she wanted to give you a REAL sign that you couldn't brush off to let you know she was there.
Anything new since you posted? Sorry, I haven't been on ATS for the past few days, so I'm just now seeing this.

I have had more than one paranormal experience,
I had two in a casino that I worked in, it was an old building that was built in the late 19th century and I had one when I was a taxi driver.
The first in the casino was a woman's voice saying my name, it came from just above my head and I was on the top floor landing on my own at the time, the second was an ice cold breeze that blew across me from out of nowhere with no windows open or fans blowing, many other staff an members had also had experiences in and just outside of that building with two of the staff seeing a gray shape walk past a door.
My other experience was seeing a man standing on a railway bridge down my road evaporate before my eyes, I was driving over the bridge at the time and two people in the car in front of me also saw him as I could see their silhouettes looking at him, their car quickly shot off down the road.

Like you,I'm busy too.I'll be busy more as the time progresses on.I'll be more than happy to share to the world my true paranormal happenings and I will.I can't wait! I want people to know "things" do happen.I can only speak for myself what I know for absolutely fact what happened in my life to be unexplained and people do criticize, judge, ask questions, and nail me to the cross for it and that's fair. After all I don't have proof and I wish I did.I wouldn't post these up if they weren't true, that wouldn't be right of me.I'll definitely be posting later on and thanks for the welcome to the thread.

Yah a couple. Saw a really big UFO when I was about 10, became interested in UFOs after that. Saw a demon once when I was about 12. Had several encounters that made the hair stand up on the back of my head. Had 2 whole years between 18-20 that I can't explain (urhm nvm).
But in general I've been fighting them my whole life long. I blame my dad, he was 32nd degree FM and his dad was 33rd went all the way back to Scotland. I never joined the lodge so I've been under their curse. This was the curse my father gave me when I turned 18, he said:
Son if you join the lodge you will always have a good job, a nice home and a loving wife and family. I never joined and I've never had any of those things.
Who would curse their own offspring?

I've had uncontrollable out of body experiences off and on all my life, as well as experienced haunted locations around my town. One place in perticular is a cemetery called Coon Hill where spirits scratch you, and pictures you take sometimes come out upside down.

1) I saw my mom sitting cross-legged on the floor next to me. "Hi, mom." - I reached out to touch her and my hand went right through. I was terrified and rolled over and basically pretended nothing happened.
2) I might have been 10-11. I woke up in the middle of the night because I had to go to the bathroom. I leave my room, cross the living room, climb the stairs. As I get to the top I see something standing in that same place where I thought I saw a figure in the story above. I couldn't make out much detail but at the time I was near certain that this was what we now call a "gray" alien. I felt like this being stood out - like it almost had its own faint luminescence. I pretended to ignore it (even though inside my head I was screaming), walked briskly to the bathroom, quickly shut the door, and clicked on the light.
I've had various dreams during this period in my life. I was always content that they were just that, but they were really unsettling. I would sometimes encounter beings in my dreams. Once I was being carried by about a half dozen of them. I managed to break a leg free of their hold and get a good foot to the head on one of them. I was rewarded by being "tazered" in my side. This was before tazers were a thing. It was like a rod was jabbed into my side - closer to my back just under my ribs and it was paralyzing. It was the most intense sensation of pins and needles you'd ever feel and it spread from there to the rest of my body.
3) I was 14 or 15 by this point. My friend wasn't at my house on this particular night. I was dreaming - I don't even remember the content, but I heard someone whisper my name in the dream, as if they were trying to get my attention. At first it wasn't enough to break me away from the main dream, but it came again...then again...I finally started to realize that this wasn't the dream and that someone "in the real world" must be trying to wake me up. I hear it once more as I'm waking up. I'm annoyed because I'm thinking my dad is trying to wake me up. "WHAT?!"...nothing...There was no one there. I was really freaked out because I was SURE that the last whisper or two happened while I was awake. I did my old "roll over and pretend nothing happened" move. =) I never told anyone about it because I had convinced myself it was just a weird dream state.
4) This is the one that UN-casts some doubt that I was imagining things earlier in my life. This is about 2 weeks after the whispering. My friend was over and had passed out in my bed watching TV. I didn't want to bother him so I took some blankets upstairs and slept on the couch. The next day he's telling me about this weird dream where a voice that sounded like me was whispering ***MY*** name and it woke him up. (My dad and I sound VERY similar) He must have noticed how big my eyes got. "What?..." "Did it sound like this?" (I imitated the whisper and he started freaking out.) I told him what had happened to me and that solidified for the both of us that there's "SOMETHING" out there that science doesn't understand yet. He also claims that he saw a figure in the corner of my room - giving off its own faint luminescence...
I had a few more dreams after this about abductions, invasions, etc. Just dreams, I think. Up to this point I was starting to feel like I was being watched, tracked, whatever by something. But one night, I had a dream where I was in the kitchen of the first house I talked about from my early childhood. I was at one end and there was a gray at the other end, facing me and staring straight at me. That moment was the most terrified, and the most angry I've ever felt in my life. I think it was the first time the "fight" half of my instincts kicked in instead of "flight". I was sick of this crap. I started screaming and swearing at this thing to leave me the F* alone and not come back. The dream ended and I woke up in a sweat. I never had any experiences after that.
I was also fascinated with sleep walking when I was around 6. I remember being asleep on the couch, realizing I was dreaming, then trying to get up and stand while I was still asleep. I would have sworn that I managed to roll off the couch onto my knees. I felt so intensely dizzy that I couldn't stand up though and just fell asleep right there. I woke up later still on the couch. I now wonder if that was me inadvertently almost projecting.
I have a "thing" with timers. I'll throw food in the oven and set a timer for an hour or whatever. I'll completely forget that I'm even cooking anything but I'll suddenly feel anxious like I need to get up. A very high percentage of the time, the timer goes off within seconds of that happening. Has happened for years and just happened the other day with laundry.
