Has Anyone Had More Than One Type of Paranormal Experience?

I've had quite a few odd experiences over the years.

When I was younger we lived in a house that was over 100 years old at the time. My brother and I had out bedroom in the attic. There were things like the cable TV channels starting to flip on their own, like one of us was sitting on the remote. But the big thing happened one night shortly after we went to bed. It was a flash of light near the ceiling. My brother yelled over to me and asked if I'd seen it. When I sat up and watched the area he told me to look, I saw it: a small electrical discharge, like a mini lighting bolt inside of a blue bubble. My brother got out of bed and bolted. I followed.

In recent years, in the house I'm in now, which was built by my grandparents (and no one has died here, btw), we had a flap of everyone seeing small darting shadows. This occurred off and on for several months and eventually stopped. During this time I have seen my mother walk out of my sister's room, hesitate a moment, then walk down the hall to her room. When I went down the hall she was nowhere to be found. A moment later I found a post-it note on my TV telling me that both her and my dad had gone to NH for the day and would be back in the morning. I was alone in the house.

My sister is always seeing things, people walking into rooms, balls of light outside and in, moving columns of fog...

The only theory I have for this activity is my brothers use of a Ouija board. He hasn't used it in years but all this stuff began during the time he was messing around with it. He had a seizure one day, and thought his addiction to the board had caused it. He hasn't touched it since. The activity continues (mostly surrounding my sister).

Welcome AlienOutlaw. Sounds like you've had some experiences, for sure.

The flash of light inside a blue sphere is something that more and more people are witnessing. I've heard the blue orbs are highly advanced beings. They could have just been checking on you and your safety, like guardians, although I can't say for sure if this was them that you saw.

Small darting shadows? You can expect that in a house that's over 100 years old. I'm glad they finally found their way to the other side.

Seeing your mother in the hallway could have been residual energy. Sounds like you are a sensitive, so you were able to see her energy from days gone by.

As for the Ouija board, well, I've always advised against them. Some people say they are safe and use them all the time with no problems, but I say they are a doorway to the unknown, and you never know what's going to come through.
If things get negative, have a Shaman come in and close the portal that was opened. Actually, that should be done anyway.

My first paranormal experience happened when I was around 10 years old. I went to my friends house to see if he wanted to help build a fort in the woods behind his house, but no one was home. I played in the woods with another friend for about an hour. We then were walking through my first friends(who wasn't home) backyard and I looked on the back porch and saw a woman in a white night gown standing there. For a second I looked away, then looked back and she was already gone. This event pretty much started me down the rabbit hole of believing In ghosts and other things.

A year or two later I experienced sleep paralysis for the first time. I was having a dream where I was in the top corner of my room watching myself sleep. The room was filled with a completely evil presence. My parents came in for a while crying and talking about how I was possessed. After a while I actually woke up and couldn't move, and the evil presence from the dream was still in my room. I was raised catholic and spent the next hour praying and trying to move. Eventually I could move, but I couldn't sleep for days. I really think something bad wanted me, and that expierence made me extremely scared of demons and the paranormal for a long time.

I continued to have sleep paralysis but nothing that scared me as much as the first time. Interestingly during my freshman year of college I had sleep paralysis happen almost every single day, sometime multiple times in a day. I'd always take naps after classes in my dorm and I could feel that it was going to happen as I was falling asleep, but I could never stop it. It never was accompanied by a bad dream but it certainly wasn't pleasant. I always thought that it could of been all of the people that lived there before me, as it was the oldest and most populated building that I've ever lived in.

As I've gotten older I haven't had any sleep paralysis or paranormal encounters, besides maybe a few small things that may or may not have been paranormal. I also don't fear demons or the paranormal anymore. Let's just say I once had a bad trip that made me realize how strong my brain really is.

Sleep paralysis is one thing I've never experienced, but I have family members who have. It can be quite the scary experience from what they've told me, and also from what people have shared in this thread.

I'm delighted to hear it has stopped happening to you, and that you have stop fearing the unknown. It took me most of my adult life to stop being scared, but I finally got there too. The mind is definitely more powerful than people realize.

I've been able since i was a kid to "see" things you cannot explain. When i was around 12 i used to have a dream about a girl crying with military clothing in her arms, later, when i visited my nans house i went up to the attic, wich resembled a lot to my dreams (i never went to the attic before because it was an old house plus i hate small spaces and heights..) and lo and behold...there it was, a luggage box with a full army attire and when i asked who it was from my dad replied it was my grandpa's vietnam uniform. He was not killed in vietnam but ran away with a native american girl leaving my nan behind so i have no idea what my dream ment.

When i was 8 or 9 years old i used to live in a huge colonial house in mexico, the one with the patio and fountain in the middle and the rooms on the 4 sides of the patio with a walkway between..anyway... i was sent to turn all the lights off of the 4 walkways surrounding the patio, when everything was dark (i was never afraid of the dark) i started walking toward my room when on the corner of my eye i saw a bright light on the patio, it was on the floor like a candle was lit, and a white dog besides it. When i told my mom she explained it was her childhood dog that maybe was looking after me... i dont know...still don't know.

When i was away in college in a different city, i used to live with an old lady in her apartment (she rented me a room for cheap), one night i was already in bed, lights turned off, closed door and windows, eyes closed trying to sleep when i felt numb, like really really numb and i opened my eyes, just when i opened them, in the center of the room i could see a beam or tube of white and black dots, like in the old days when you did not have cable and the tv looked fuzzy with white and black dots... and it was buzzing like a swarm of bees, i was paralyzed, i could not close my eyes or move, i don't know how long this went on since next thing i remember is waking up next morning. i never realized when it stopped, neither when i fell asleep. I cannot for the life of me remember anything else from that night.

When i was young around 13-14 years old i had a dream, everything was black but as soon as i opened my eyes i was in the middle of a battlefield somewhere with sand everywhwere. I looked to one side and men in horses were approaching, i looked to the other side and therwe were men with bows and swords. I was standing in front of all men when i hear someone whisper in my ear "Nethana" and i woke up- I never forgot that word, i'm 30 years old, when i was that young internet had 0 information on the word, and encyclopedias did not contain it. later when i was 25 i did a search and found out it was a village in the middle east or india, nowadays i cannot find anything about it tho....

do you want me to go on because oh boiii am i a strange things magnet, i can dream about things that are going to happen, i see black figures resembling people and animals, and i saw (according to the description that i gave my mom) my great grand dad in the old house our family owns, i hear strange things happen or move and when i check it out, nothing has moved.....aaand i was stolen by gypsies when i was born. If you want to hear the story i could gladly tell it. I think that has to do something with why i am this way...

My experiences are scattered all through this thread. A lot of memories came back to me when others shared their own experiences, and then some were posted as current incidents (at the time of posting). I could never put them all down again here, but I do plan on compiling my experiences into a book this winter when I'm hibernating from the cold weather.

I did a couple phone interviews recently for a job in eastern NC. I suddenly remembered an odd dream I had several years ago I dismissed as something weird my brain created because for one thing, I never lived in the eastern part of NC unless you call Raleigh as eastern but I think of it as more like the middle. Anyway in my dream a nuclear bomb went off. I wasn't sure of the reason. Instead of dying in the blast, a weird electromagnetic disturbance sucked me back in time I think the 1800's. That's another reason I thought this was all a figment of my imagination at the time several years ago because who in their right mind would nuke the US? Now we have North Korea acting like a lunatic country.

I should have died or suffered burns or radiation poisoning but I lucked out and had no side effects. I lived in the 1800's but the experience left me a bit crazy. I became a famous pirate in my dream. I enjoyed scaring the locals. I should have been dead already so maybe combat at sea didn't scare me at all. At the time I thought wow, I have some imagination but the possibility of getting a job in eastern NC while North Korea is threatening to nuke us made me remember it. I'm hoping it was all my imagination. If I didn't shave for a few months I was thinking I might look like Blackbeard. I can't imagine, well maybe, tying my beard in beads or whatever and dipping it in oil and gunpowder and lighting my beard on fire to scare the locals at the bar. I remember when I read that, I always wondered what that would look like. Obviously just a stupid dream. I would never want to experience a nuclear blast first hand nor go back in time like that. If someone nuked me, that might tick me off.

On the other hand I thought,maybe I should be a science fiction writer if I can think of all these weird stories in my sleep. Who else has combined nuclear war, time travel, and pirates in a single movie?

It sounds like you could be the reincarnation of one of your past family members, or else you just traveled back in time to see something that happened to them.

We are all made from energy inhabiting a human vessel. When our physical body dies, we go back into the form of energy that we truly are. So, your mom could be right that this was her dog.

Sounds like what some abductee experiencers have described. Not saying it was ETs; our secret military also have the technology to do this to people. They use this technology to knock you out, take you somewhere else to do tests on you, or to discuss a plan you are part of, then wipe your memory when they return you to your bed, or place you were when they took you. They have a high interest in people with 'abilities', which you apparently have.

I don't think that was a 'dream'. More than likely, you were having a past-life memory. Do you feel any strong connection in this life to that area? If you do more research you might come across something that sparks more memories. Of, if you can afford it, you could go to a respectable hypnotist and be regressed back to that life to see what is so important that it surfaced in a 'dream' now.

Yes, as I said, you definitely have 'abilities' that not all people have. The main thing is to never let them scare you; show no fear. Some of the darker entities feed on fear. So, if you give it to them, they'll just keep coming back for more, and things will only get more scary.

I have had experiences ever since I could remember as a kid, Sometimes as soon as I fall asleep and kinda half awake I seen probably 5 times in my life different people standing in different parts of my room over the years. I thought I was asleep but I knew I wasent, it's hard to describe the feeling. Another time when I was a kid we lived across from a field and woods and there was tons of arrowheads in the ground but I was always scared to take them in fear of somting happing, one night I swear I saw a white horse with a Native American riding it just sitting there watching me. I still question that thinking it was just a deer and his antlers it was night so it could be possible. I remember being so scared as a kid this one time my mom left for the store I was home alone around 12 years old I was in the bathroom, I heard slippers dragging across my wood hallway and then started to think I didn't hear the door open no ones here, I yelled for my mom but no one answered I felt so sick from being scared I thought I was going to die I hid in the bathroom till someone came home. My sister played keyboard and she would record her playing and we all heard a women say SHUT UP, that house had something evil in it I believe. My dad said he would wake up smelling smoke and seen an old lady in a sundress one time before. There is to many things to list on here I can go on. As I got older we moved a lot it didn't scare me as much but still a little fear knowing something was watching me but didn't feel as evil. I still hear stuff slam or strang nosies but it has slowed down a lot. I have tried recoreding in the past and got some to come through most saying pointless stuff or help. I stoped because it started to scare me after this one dream I had I really thought I was talking with my grandma but I dreamt a week later of a bunch of voices yelling skin walker so I took that as a hint that recording audio was a bad idea and wasent good for me at least I'm not or wasent prepared. I also have vivid dreams almost every night most are nightmares and this was before all the evps, i dream a lot about the after life I don't like it it's not hell or heaven to describe it, it's like a town with all the ones who passed away. Sorry for the long reply I could go on forever with all my experience!

Then seconds later, it feels like no cloths are worn.

A friend said that 'The nakedness is the soul being exposed to Heaven's calling to it.'

Just wondered if events are leading up to the Rapture or my time is up.

Yes, you're definitely not alone. I had incidences of precognition, telepathy, first a haunting and later a poltergeist in two different places I lived; astral attacks, a Mother Mary apparition, messages from Spirit for other people where I was the messenger; divine interventions too numerous to count; being put into a certain situation that enabled me to save an unborn child; being divinely protected from death or worse; spontaneous animal communication; spontaneous past-life memories (one of them confirmed by a person who sat next to me when I had the experience and who was with me in that past life); dimension slips; a "glitch in the Matrix," UFO sightings, ghost encounters, and more.

This stuff has been following me my whole life, wherever I go, wherever I live. It's gotten less in the last 10+ years because I have more of a "normal" life and I tried to cut out the negative stuff, but the messages and interventions and signs are still happening. I wouldn't have it any other way, though. It's been amazing having this kind of direct line to Spirit, and I'm incredibly grateful for it.

I have skimmed over this thread title basically ever since I joined. I finally thougjt about it, I have had more then one paranormal experience.

One of the most memorable was when I saw a UFO in broad daylight. It looked exactly like a giant egg, it was seamless, silent and hovered towards the mountains on the horizon. I saw it so clearly And for so long I am certain I was not seeing anything other than a giant egg.

So I cant say for certain that this was paranormal in nature, my only other thought is maybe a top secret drone.

I lean towards paranormal because this happened during the peak of a time in my life where I was really into crystals, and opening my chakras and noirishing my pineal gland. So I feel like I opened myself up to some high strangeness..

The second I believe was also an effect of all the crystals and dabbling in a spiritual world I was not equipped to be messing with.

Back when I used to party, living in the same apartment as it became late something amazing started to happen. I, my wife, and an old friend of mine all witnessed what seemed like a dozen shadow people wandering all around the house.

One proof I have that it wasn't simply a hallucination is the fact that my wife and I were in seperate rooms and we saw the same one from different angles.

From the living room I saw a tall one leave my sons bedroom and walk into the master bedroom where my wife was laying down. She saw it too as it exited our sons room and she remembers it walked around the room then layed in bed next to her.....

This went on for what seemed like at least 2 hours. Everywhere we looked several of them could be seen just wandering around. They didn't seem threatening really at all, they were just there in a sort of aimless wander......

Eventually I started praying hard to Jesus to make them go away and it didn't take long for him to answer. They were gone, never to be seen again......

I have also had sleep paralysis once. Also I've experienced some amazing synchronicity........

I'm convinced there is a unseen world around us all the time that is bustling with activity.......it is just rare for us humans to perceive it, but under the right circumstances it can be done....
