There is no need. Watching her video you can clearly see they are looking south to SW. If the airport is behind them five miles, the exact location is irrelevant. It knocks all plane theories to the swampy mud below

WHY the hell does everyone think that chinese lanterns are used in every town for any occasion? it really irks me how close minded and ridiculous people can be! At the same time it doesn't mean that they're ufo's either but CHINESE LANTERNS? come on! please? Apparently it's a fad nowadays or something but Chinese lanterns all over the world? for every video that's ever come out!? sure it may be a few times that they were right about the lanterns but using that excuse for EVERY FREAKIN video? how can you not read what you are typing and think that it's a stretch? OH and they don't rise and fall, they don't turn, those stupid lanterns just float aimlessly. It may not be a ufo but THIS IS NOT lanterns! please deny ignorance!!! i know they're are many hipster morons that would be like "oh how quaint let's use chinese lanterns" especially in california but again COME ON! why would there only be three? or four? the point of those lanterns it to light up the sky with many! use your critical thinking.
Rant over.....
I personally light chinese lanterns a few times a year because me and my kids think they are kinda cool. Depending on the weather conditions, they do in fact rise, fall, switch directions both quickly and slowly, and sometimes just float there. The light is bright sometimes and flickers sometimes. And usually it's only when a crowd of people lights them together that you light up the sky...at around $5.00 to $10.00 each, I don't want to spend that much money to "light up the sky" so I only do a couple at a time. And trust me, I'm most certainly not a "hipster moron".
So, when some of us don't go shouting that the aliens are here after every single light in the sky video, it's not "closed mindedness" - we're just not so open minded that our brains fall out. But for the record, these do not look like chinese lanterns to me. They look more like the traffic helicopters that are seen almost every day in my neck of the woods (Washington state). Maybe other places don't have traffic helicopters - I can't say for sure. But that's what it looks like to me.
i apologize for the generalization(hipster moron) but i just don't like the fact that the lantern theory is now in the same class as Swamp Gas; Weather Balloons; Reflections of light off of Birds. It bothers me because most of the people who say this don't take the time to think or watch the video or read the article.
It's the" pics or it didn't happen" type of thinking. just because you give something a chance and research and decide for yourself deos NOT mean you're letting you're brain spill out. I do believe you're an exception to the post cause you KNOW what the lanterns look like and you STILL KNOW that this is not what it is.
I do believe it is a helicopter as well (as stated in my previous posts). I do think it's just as bad and there are also many who blindly believe with no basis or evidence. so i guess there are the same type of people on both sides of the fence.

Care to prove the EXACT location they filmed from if you can!

Got a utube channel? Go ask her yourself. And be polite about it. But I don't understand why you still need to know that in light of already knowing the airport is behind them. They're not cessnas performing touch and goes at the airport.

How do I know because YOU say that or she says THAT , someone from that area posted that there are 3 airfields in the area NOT one, or are they all behind her.edit on 21-2-2012 by wmd_2008 because: (no reason given)

chinese lanterns are the new generation "sad excuses" replacing weather balloons of the 50's. we'll have to bare with them until they come up with a higher version of baloney.edit on 21-2-2012 by jamsession because: (no reason given)
First, there are dozens of them. They seem to float in the air, and given the distance that they are away, they can seem quite large. It seems unlikely that so many helicopters could be floating in the area, without making a noise. Secondly, they drip. They drip wax, which sometimes catches on fire. They might catch on fire themselves. These small extras might give the sense that they are doing something to the surface of the Earth. Or maybe, that a titanic space battle is being fought in our atmosphere. Lastly, they are gone in a pop of light. They seem to explode all at once, instantly igniting then extinguishing themselves. This makes them seem to disappear, almost as if they stopped floating, and dashed up into the heavens.

Because she has no reason to lie where she was filming if they are really airplanes and not a hoax on her part. C'mon man, I said critical thinking in the beginning of this thread. You're not demonstrating this.
The only other thing that resembles an airport is the Jones aviation museum. Go search for it. It's a shack at the end of a dirt road.
The last time I'm going to spoon feed you. There is the Jones Aviation Museum to the N. West and Siller Brothers Airport to the N. East. Both locations are still behind the girl filming so again, not planes at the airport.
I won't even discuss the Chinese lantern theory unless some one can show me one the size of a large weather balloon that would need a propane torch to heat it up.
